      Purchased a building at a home show- paid the down payment of 7400 and when building arrived paid the remaining balance of *****. Called company after realizing we received the wrong size- we ordered a 40x60x20 building with 14x14 foot doors- we received a 40x60x16 with 10x14 doors- salesman told us when he called that they dont make buildings 40x60x20 or 16 foot doors- we would have to put a 4 foot stem wall all the way around- salesman *** admitted he knew we were putting it on a slab not a wall still sold us it anyways and for another 5700 he could get us pieces to fix it- he absolutely knew what he was doing and lied about what he sold us- completely scammed us to make a sale!!

      **************,

      As you are well aware of the purchase order you signed stated that the end walls would have a 4' drop. Meaning the sides of the building would be on a 4' wall and we would drop the panels of the end walls down 4' to compensate for the 4' wall the building was going to be setting on. Also, that means the door opening from us would be 10'h x 14'w again to compensate for the 4' walls. We here at Legacy Steel Buildings want happy customers and from the way it sounds you are not. Here is what we would be willing to do, if you cover the freight (about $800.00) we will cover the rest. we are willing to do this to try and make you a happy customer after a misfortunate misunderstanding. Also, would like to state that as a company we did nothing wrong you had the plans for many weeks before you took delivery and even poured the concrete from the plans but didn't notice the building was 16' tall not 20'? the contract reads a 40x60x16 just to clear the air. if you would like to take advantage of this offer, please give me a call at ************ if you do not wish to take advantage of this that is your choice as well. please remember as your contract states there is no refund available. Would be happy to post a copy of the contract if you would like us to.

      sincerely

      I met a sales rep for Legacy Steel at an event in ************, ** last March 2023. I was told the building I wanted would be delivered to my address where a simple building installation was my responsibility. I gave them a total of $7,150.00 for the deposit. After months of nothing I was finally contacted that they would give me a two week delivery window & that unloading a 18 wheel semi truck with well over ****** pounds of ******************************************* would now be my responsibility. I'm a disabled combat veteran that lives in a residential house. I have no way at all to unload a large semi truck with all this very heavy material. They kept saying they would figure something else out but month after month would pass with nothing but wanting me to agree to this unloading a semi at my house. I don't own heavy equipment & with a 2 week window would not even be able to rent it as the cost would be thousands of dollars. Legacy Steel has basically at this point stopped contacting me or replying to any of my emails, calls & text. Next month will be a full ******** fear just losing $7150 dollars. No product was ever delivered & no way to resolve this issue of delivery. At this point I just want my money back & want nothing else to do with this company.

      I Understand ********************** frustration. Although there are a few misleading statements that were made, such as after months of nothing they he was finally contacted. Our records indicate that he was first contacted on March 20and we were told he would call back, then again on 4/3/23, 4/10/23,4/17/23 you can see the pattern and each time was told he would call back that never happened. this went on till Sept when he was told to call my office still never called back. On Jan 18, 2024, said he refused to figure out offloading of the truck. At this point the factory contacted my office I personally talked to ******************, and I listened to the problems he believed he had to off load the building. Well at that point i asked him if he had a trailer and could he bring it to the Harley ********** in ************ **. and i would send his building there and have it taken off our truck and put on his trailer he replied yes that would work. At this point i contacted his original salesman who also confirmed with ****************** if this would work, he again said yes. Then **** (His salesman) contacted the Harley ********** and got everything set up. this is when we received the complaint from BBB and have tried to get in contact, he answered his phone only once and then said I'll call you back so here we sit with our hands in our pocket, and nothing solved ! to resolve this have ****************** pick up the phone and call so we can deliver his building we have done nothing wrong in fact have gone way above to try to satisfy him including paying for the building to be unloaded from the truck onto his trailer. As you can tell we are frustrated as well!

      Requesting for a refund of $2,465.0 from Legacy Steel Building. Im a Retired Gluf War Disabled Veteran of over 26 years of honorable service and visited Ag Expo on Tuesday, 18 October 2022 when I met *******************, sale person for Legacy. **** appeared to be an honest person...convince me to buy one of the building. I had put $2,465 down payment for a 41x40x16 metal building with Legacy Steel Building (*******************, sale person) **** promise that it would be a simple building to installed but will required instructions. It took **** over a month to send me the all the paperwork to include instructions and specifications of the building. Based on the instructions that was sent, is not as simple as he stated. Its very complicated. It required permit and expertise in order to construct the building. I was misled by **** that is was easy to assemble but is far from it. I tried numerous of time to contact **** and the Company but unable to get a respond but your calls go through a voice Mail. Finally, I was able to reached ***, customer service person and she told me that she would forward my concerns to upper management. No one contact me, so I kept calling and leaving voicemail. Finally ***, financial person, told me that they would reimburse only half of my deposit of $1,232.5. I tried calling her back to request my full amount of $2,465.0. but had to leave a voicemail. As of now, I have yet to hear from the Company.I just want my deposit of $2,465.0 back. I never received any material from them; therefore there should be no reason for them not returning the full amount of my deposit.

      hello,

      let me start by saying our building go up easier than any other building in the industry. We do not mislead our customers, ******************* has been in this industry for 25 plus years and sells over 200 buildings a year consistently. We have had very few complaints over the years so I would have to assume it was a simple misunderstanding. just for your information we have left somewhere between 5-7 voice mails without a return call. Not sure why. Now if **************************** wants his deposit returned all he has to do is return a phone call and explain to ** how he was mislead. In fact here is my cell he can call me direct **************.

      thank you,

       I am rejecting this response because:

      Ive contacted the point of contact you provided in the response but **********************, GM, did not want to hear me out and he hung up on me. I tried calling him back but went straight to voicemail . Wanted to found out if he hung up or was disconnected but he didnt call back. Nothing was resolved and Im still out about $2,465.0.  I am a retired Army Disabled Veteran living only off my retirement. All Im requesting is my refund back of about $2,465.0.

      Please assists me in obtaining my refund of about $2,465.0.

      Thanks/********************************;

      After speaking with ************************** on May 30 2023 I have come to the conclusion that it has nothing to do with ************** lying about the erection of the building (which he did not). He is have trouble obtaining permits in his county and doesn't like the idea of have to jump thru the county hoops to get a permit. Without speaking to him we offered to return half his deposit. ************************** could not even return 1 of the 3+ messages left to discuss it. So know he comes to BBB and makes up stories and tries to play on the fact that he is a disabled vet? I'm pretty sure he was a disabled vet when he made the decision to purchase the building and sign a contract! In answer to his question yes I did hang up on him for the simple reason I got tired of being talked over, yelled at and swearing at. At this point the return of any monies is not available. I will however drop it at this or if ************************** would like to continue we will pursue him for the full contract amount plus legal fees.

      **** stated that they had all the building codes for ******** at the ******************. They claimed that their buildings are allowed to be built as living quarters. Park county doesnt allow this per their zoning regulations. We called prior to the cancellation as well as emailed and there was no response until after the 4th call requesting the cancellation. We sent an email on the 27th of January at 11:12am requesting the cancellation then they charged us at 11:26am on the 27th. After they made the charge both **** the owner and a staff member then answered their phones. They said they would take care of this and let us know. They now wont answer their phones nor emails. I will not have any other choice but to take this to small claims if this cant get resolved here for the full amount of $5150.00.

      At ***** Farm Show I ordered a building on 12-11-2021 to be delivered to my property in NW ******* approximately August 2022 . I was led to believe from ******************* President of Operations Legacy Steel Buildings that I was ordering a Quonset building like the show model having a 4 ft. knee or straight wall. It was verified three times with him that I was getting one like the model because i made it clear I was not interested in a traditional Quonset building. On about 1-14-22 I received a design for a traditional Quonset building. I started calling and texting **** on 1-15-22 to get issue resolved. On 1-18-22 he texted me and advised he would be in the office the next day and would "get this all worked out". Since I have had no communication with **** or Legacy Building after multiple calls and leaving voice mails. I still want the building and am willing to pay for it. A check for $2500.00 was deposited with **** on 12-11-22. This is either a "BAIT and SWITCH" or inability to provide the design agreed to because of snow load requirements in *******. Provide the building agreed to or return my deposit. This appears to be a SCAM!!!!

      Dear ****************,

      Tell us why here...

      i have just spoken with ******************* and you are absolutely right. Once he looked at the snow loads in ******* he put you in a building he thought you would like. He also apologized for not getting back to you he has been constantly at shows. This is not any type of scam or bait and switch we have been doing this many years and have thousands of happy customers. We have been at the ***** Farm show for years and will continue to be there for many years so please stop back and see us next year. Your check will go in the mail today (2/22/22) sorry for the misunderstandings.
