We are having maintenance issues in our apartment. We have a sink that is still clogged and bubbling over with water even after multiple trips here to fix the issue. There is also a weird chemical smell coming from the bathroom that has been bothering my girlfriend with headaches and a sore, scratchy throat (she is pregnant), We thought the scent was toxic so that is why we contacted them. We had a representative from IPM themselves come here to assess the situation (my girlfriend and I weren't there, her mom was there to talk to them) and no action has been done to resolve our issue. The maintenance team blocked our numbers so we can't contact them whatsoever and some of the members of IPM are not helping us. It has been nearly a week now that this has first become an issue. And I believe our numbers shouldn't be blocked and the problem should have been fixed, if not should be taken care of soon at the very least. We called and they have said to us there is nothing else they are going to be doing. We would just like help in getting our problem resolved and get the maintenance team to unblock our numbers in case we need their services again down the line. It is frustrating that no one is willing to help and saying that no further action is being taken when the problem was never fixed even after multiple trips out here. We've been living here for over a year without a single issue until now.

On Thursday, September 30, IPM, **** received a call from the tenants regarding an odor in the bathroom at their rental apartment. Maintenance was ordered to investigate and repair. They went to the property that day and could not find an issue; however, they poured bleach down the bath sink & bathtub and caulked around the toilet. On Friday October 1, the tenant said the issue had not been remedied. Maintenance pulled the toilet and replaced the wax ring and plugged the overflows in the tub and bath sink to assure that these were not the cause of the tenants complaint. On Wednesday, October 6, the tenant called us again regarding strong odors in the bathroom. Maintenance ran a plumbing snake down the bath sink & tub and changed the p-trap under the bathroom sink. When I asked the maintenance technician about this, he said that it smelled when he pulled the p-trap, so sewer gas may have been in the drain pipes. On Friday, October 8, IPM received another call from the tenants regarding bathroom odors. We also received calls from the tenants mother and grandmother. Maintenance installed a new vanity sink and pop-up drain. A property manager from IPM went to the property and found no odors. The tenants continued to feel that there is an issue. They have become increasingly agitated and very persistent. They called the *************** who could find no problems but suggested we might check the vents. On Monday, Oct. 11, maintenance checked the vents and found all vents were working fine. They asked if the tenants had been running a lot of water down the drains which they confirmed as they thought this would help the problem (and they are not paying the water ****). Maintenance discussed with them that it is possible for a small amount of sewer gas to back up only when water is being run down the drain as it is at that time when the p-trap might not be full. We have exhausted our options. It is unfair of the tenants to suggest we have not responded or not tried to fix the issue. We have made every effort and spared no expense to resolve the perceived problem. At this point, multiple members from both our maintenance contractors as well as our company cannot detect any problem. We suggest that if the tenant feels that the problem has not been solved and they feel the smell is still there, they should consider finding an alternate home.Regarding the "blocked calls," no one from our office or the maintenance has blocked any calls. Honestly, we don't even know how to do this!
