    Our toilet has backed up twice now, with sewer water. The manager refused to call a plumber and told us that it wasn’t a big deal and we needed to use the bathroom at downtown trotter gas station or go to the police Station to go. Then we were told that nothing was going to be done about the toilet overflowing that it was our fault and we need to fix all the damage in the apartment from the water. We now have mold, black mold. It has affected my husbands health and now mine. We have been harassed every day. I’ve had to take my husband to the dr weekly due to the amount of mold. We have also taken our dog to the emergency vet because she was lethargic. They don’t fix anything in these apartments. They have already taken our niece to court for the broken wi does and not working stove in her apartment that were there before. She was told oh yeah that will be fixed asap. Nothing happened and the manager lied to the court saying that our niece did all that to the apartment when it clearly was done before she moved in. Well she has moved and and the stove still is broken and so are the windows. The sofets are missing 2 sheets that one is by my trash can and 1 in the garage and they refuse to put them up. The neighbor across the street from us has cancer and she was without air conditioning for 3 weeks because that’s not a necessity. Another neighbor hasn’t had heat or air conditioning since April of this year. And it’s not a necessity it’s a luxury to have. Same tenant her sky window leaked for a long time every time it rained. She had mold and the manager said quit sucking the water out of the carpet you will ruin the carpet. The tenant tore out the carpet after being told she could and put her new flooring down and still hasn’t got reimbursed for that. There is no insulation. They don’t like something they tack on extra fee for rent. They dont mow or trim. the owners are felons for tax evasion and bootlegging alcohol.

    First off, there's so much more to this story then what is being told. Going to the gas station was due to the fact that it was after midnight and couldn't get it fixed till morning., As for the toilets over flowing. We are not responsible for peoples toilets over flowing nor are we responsible for the damage. That is why people have renters insurance. As you can see for the similar BBB reports being made, these neighbors tag teamed up to attack us and honestly it was nothing but trouble from them. Late payments on rent constantly. As for the air conditioner they threatened & harassed the man who was coming to put it in but what they didn't know was he was going to get it set until it was time to wire the electrical then an electrician was coming to do that part. They have now moved out so we are stuck with all the damage and they skipped out on paying rent.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    When the toilet and shower backed up and we called *** toget a plumber there she said no because the landlord was still upset about someone else’s garbage disposal not working and him having to pay that bill so they refused for a plumber to come fix it. This happened on a Friday night and that there was no way in hell that they were going to pay a plumber to come on the weekend. They said we had to go to the gas station which only stays open til 11pm-12am. My husband who is disabled had to plunge the toilet for over 2 hours. And is still hurting since then. As for the repairs, there was mold in the doorway of the bathroom when we moved in and it was NEVER taken care of. It was reported to *** several times and said she would get it fixed and never did. There is even a maintenance report that said it was repair and it was never done. As for all of us ganging up on Heartland properties we are not. Repairs need made and they are not getting it done. They are making tenants pay for stoves etc that are broke then not fixing them and making that tenant pay them for a broke stove that has been broke since before they moved in, then when the next tenant moves in they try to charge the next for the same broken stove. We got our rent paid all except September because of the bad mold problem that was there from the 2 times it flooded. Yes it was late but we paid it or had hep paying it from the state. I would like rent refund from April til august of this year.
