When the summer had first started, my AC wouldn’t work. I put in a maintenance request and they had came and “fixed” the problem. It had worked for about a week. I texted the property manager (texts in pictures was everytime i tried to explain how hot it was in the apartment) to explain it was broke again. They came to look at it and said a new part needed to be ordered in order to fix it. Months went by and text after text of asking when I was going to get my ac fixed it was the same excuse that they were “out of stock” of the part. Wouldn’t provide the business they were trying to go through to get said part and wouldn’t explain what part needed fixed. I went from July all the way to the end of my lease which was December without AC. They thought since the outside temperature had cooled down that the ac wasn’t a big deal anymore and to just open my windows. I continued to pay my rent in full all those months while sitting in a 80 degree plus apartment. I tried to not be such a painful tenant but my work at the time had no ac so i went to a hot working environment to come home to a scorching hot apartment. All while still paying my rent in full and on time. I now realize I was able to hold my rent until this problem was fixed but again didn’t want to be a pain. They are now trying to charge me $1,329 for move out costs such as cleaning and other miscellaneous stuff. All i ask is that they take the rent i should’ve never paid but did and take that and use it towards my move out payment as i feel i should’ve never continued to pay rent during the dead heat of summer with no ac for months on end. This issue was still never fixed by the time i moved out due to the weather cooling down and them not seeing it as a problem anymore. I was not the only one at the apartments that dealt with no AC and for how nice the apartments are i find it crazy that they could never fix ac which is a basic human necessity.

    Hello,

The AC issue started in late August, and we were unable to change out the part until we received a new one later in the year.

We had 2 portable units installed in this unit, which is not the standard for a 1-bedroom. We had 2 other units on higher floors than this one that also had portable units during this time, and their temperatures never reached above 72 degrees.

We spoke to this resident several times about leaving doors open and fans running to allow air to circulate, but noticed that anytime we entered the unit, all doors were shut, all fans were off, and the portable units were not even running.

Additionally, there is no remaining balance owed to ******* ******

    Thank you
