I called the business and they quoted me $45 a week to mow around my trailer. They said the 1st cut xoukd be $99. I received a bill for $310. This is a rip off.Business response

Dear Sirs:
********** ********* requested an estimate for mowing services from Summit Lawns on 8-5-24. We sent the the quote (see attachment) for Mowing (weekly rate) and the First Time Mow (hourly). All mowing customer's first visit for mowing is based the actual time spend on the job and is billed by the hour. Our hourly rate is $99/hour/crew member. This is our standard policy for all new mow customers as we have no idea how long it will take to clean up a property. If a client has recently mowed the property, the billing will be fairly close to the weekly fee. However, with neglected properties, the weeds and grass can be very time consuming to cut through. Some lawns require a double or triple cutting. As you can see by the before and after pictures, this lawn had not been touched for weeks. We always take before and after pictures before performing any hourly job. (We have more pictures of this property available by your request).
********** received the estimate (attached) and then contacted us on 8-7-24 to schedule the work. We conducted the First Time Mow on 8-14-24. On 8-15-24, after reviewing the job times for accuracy and reviewing the pictures, we submitted the invoice total to ************ credit card that she placed on file, and emailed a copy of the paid invoice to her. ********** then called our office to say we had overbilled her and to cancel her service. We did cancel any future mowing to her property.
I personally called ********** on 8-19-24 and left a voice message asking her to call us back to discuss her billing. We would like to be happy with the work done and the invoice total. She never returned my phone call.
We are sorry that ********** thinks our invoice was more than expected. But as you can see, this was a very labor intense job.
