Set up a checking account online on 9/13/21, which was approved Transfered money, $*** dollars to fund the new account The next day the account was closed and no notification that it had been I had to check on the mobile app. It's 9/23/21 and I have no money back in my bank account the money was taken out of by FNBO on 9/14. Called 9/16 - Said it would be back in 3-5 days Called 9/20 - Said it would be back in 1-3 days Called 9/23 - Said to call my bank So where is my money?Business response

Hi I was a victim of Identity theft back in July someone opened an FBNO Credit card in my name. They bank called me and told me about the credit card. I told them I was a victim of Identity theft. also I told them I never applied for the card. But someone used over $*****. So they closed the account. So I want this account removed from my credit reports immediately. Also I shouldn't have any liability for this account since it's a fraudulent account. . I would appreciate this to be resolved immediately. . Also nobody in family either applied for this credit card. They all are victims of Identity theft also.Business response

My authorized user, Xerxes ********, ************************, account has not posted to his credit Experian profile. I want a representative to reach out to Experian, to REPORT this information accurately for me. It is of the utmost importance to me. I have always enjoyed doing business with your bank and look forward to continuing our relationship in the future with other products and services your institution has to offer. In regards to this matter, I have received 2 letters from you, one saying your bank will make this right and another saying you will do nothing at all. You have left me with no other choice but to file a formal grievance after months of putting up with your incompetence.Business response

This company arbitrarily shut my credit card account down with no notice. Only discovered when at merchant attempting to use card. Was told it was due to too many inquiries on credit report and time elapsed since new account opened was too short. Inquiries were due to refinancing my mortgage twice in the last 8 months and dropping my mortgage payment $*** a month. It was not as if I was signing up for multiple credit cards. They did nothing to review my financial profile which includes FICO score over ***, annual household income over $*******, debt to income ratio under **% (including my mortgage), payment history, plus the fact that I have been a customer since **** (** years). How can they justify treating a long time valued customer this way. Very embarrassing when you find out the account is shutdown at the merchants attempting to use it. They need to overhaul their system on how credit decisions are made and should reinstate my account.Business response
