I have never done business with a bank this bad. Everything from customer service to the website and app are just awful. Repeatedly locked out of my online account, and when I go through the steps to set a new password, nothing works. The app just closes and the website ALWAYS sends an error message. It’s all just useless. And good luck speaking to anyone who can actually help.

FNBO just took over my Flagstar credit card account and within days I needed to call customer service for a "service fee" on my account that I have never had to pay in my entire adult life. The guy who answered in the customer service department was a rude jerk who would not help me and when I asked who else I could talk to about this issue, he told me no one and hung up on me. Absolute worst service I have ever experienced, stay away from this company

I was a brand new customer through a JAL USA credit card. The advertised annual fee for the JAL USA card was $0 Intro Annual Fee for the 1st year (After that, $20 annually). I was fine with this so I applied for and was granted the card. In the first month of opening the card I received a notice that I owed $70 ($20 for my JAL annual fee and $50 for a FNBO award program). I called the bank and was informed that the $50 would not be refunded and it was in the "fine print" of my agreement but the $20 might be refunded. Not chancing further unknown fees, I cancelled the account immediately.

Have been a custom for over 5 years and never late on my payments and nothing changed on my credit report and even received a credit increase in the past 6 months and they reduced my credit limit down to nothing. The is not really usable anymore. no explanation for why the reduction in my credit limit and when I contacted custom service they were very rude to me. And after the call I was looking at my account and my secluded payment was canceled?... I reschedule my payment...looks like there custom service was trying to make my payment late..for the fee,

      06/24/2024

Michael, we're sorry to hear that our services have not met your expectations, and appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. If the decision is made to lower an account's credit limit, a letter is mailed that explains the factors that led to the decision. Please note, the most common reason a payment that was made online does not post is that the payment is not fully scheduled. When making a payment, you will need to click the 'Submit Payment(s)' button after filling out the necessary information, and then click 'Confirm' to confirm that the information is correct. If the payment is not confirmed, it will not post to the account. Once the payment has been confirmed, you will be thanked for making your payment and provided a confirmation number. If you have any other questions or concerns, you can call us at 888-530-3626, or submit a secure message after logging into your account from our website, and our Specialists will be happy to help.

I am a civilian. I am completely intoxicated and I need a safe ride home and once again I’m conveniently and not advertised or scheduled. First National Bank is updating their system and cannot help me and I asked them if they were able to give me a safe ride home somehow and then bill me later and they told me nope there’s nothing they can do and once again being in the situation I was in I asked for help again and they told me no, so I am completely intoxicated and I am gonna walk down highway 20 miles to my house and I will call First National Bank tomorrow morning. Thank you for caring First National Bank 100 some years in Omaha, Nebraska bullshit I am pissed. I’m going public. I’m going to the paper, this is outrageous.

FNBO raised my interest rate to the maximum allowed, regardless of my payment history, just because they could when the federal government raised interest rates. They lowered my credit limit from $17,000.00 down to $1000 after I paid the balance off. Effectively messing up my credit usage to availability ratio on my credit score. I would not recommend this card to anyone. They aren’t a partnership to build credit, they’re greedy and spiteful for no reason.

Their BP Me rewards visa is a joke. They advertise after 60 days, 15 cents off gasoline purchases. Well some of the stations don't honor that and charge you full price, others don't give you the full 15 cents off. Their online customer service that they say you could contact is not in service. What kind of lousy way is this to run a business? Not surprising how all of their reviews are one star!

First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) Response

      06/14/2024

Lawrence, we're sorry to hear our services have not met your expectations, and appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention. If you are not receiving the discount for using your BPme Rewards Visa card at a BP station, we will issue a statement credit within 10 business days of the transaction posting to your account. If it has been more than 10 business days, and you do not see the credit, you can call us at 888-530-3626, or submit a secure message after logging into your account from our full website, and our Specialists will be happy to look into this further.

The staff at FNBO is the only reason we have stuck with this bank since it bought over our local Wyo State bank. If you have a business account and have any desire to move money around or use any basic functionality tools that any other online banking would have.....it does not exist. The online banking webpage is literally from 2010. The most progressive thing you can do is send money through Zelle. Oh wait, you also cannot do that if you have a business account. They need to stop popping branches up everywhere and spend money on their own platforms for customers.

If I could give less than one star I would. I don’t use this card very often, but I recently found that I was 30 days late for a charge I made. Immediately I scheduled payment and called customer service because they had shut my card off. They said that they won’t turn it back on until the payment is processed. They didn’t send a single email, text, phone call, or mailing indicating that I owed. In 10 years with this company, I’ve never made a late payment. I’m canceling this as soon as my payment processes. Both times I called, they transferred me to collections. Tracey and Shelley are unprofessional and lied over the phone. When I asked to speak to someone in operations about their communication policy, she said I could write a letter. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY
