I bought a carwash and now upon reviewing my bank statement months later realize that I was signed up for an expensive subscription that I was not aware of that charged me for the past four months. I never used the service after I was signed up for it and frankly feel scammed due to my lack of knowledge of what happened.Business Response

I went to Russel speeders car wash on 12/12/24 and got it washed. It was around 4pm. I had a doctors appointment so I went to that. The next day I noticed the bottom of my door paint was damaged. I went back to car wash and filled out a damage report. Told 4-6 days someone would get back to me. I called 6 days later and and when I talked to the manager he basically said there’s nothing they can do because it’s older then 5 years old. Truck was perfect and I have pictures of that. And he said has to be 24 hours. It was just about 24 hours. Absolutely a company damaged your car and they won’t repair it. Horrible company.Business Response

This complaint came from the Derby CT location and the General Manager of the site did respond to the customer and you can see from the email he sent that he looked at the video footage from our cameras and there was no damage to the car as it entered or exited the tunnel.

I have had an unlimited plan for several years. On August 12th, 2024 I was charged my normal monthly rate of $47.85. (I didn't use the car wash following this transaction.) On August 15th, 2024 I went to the Manchester location with my new vehicle and asked to transfer my account. I was told I would have to purchase a new plan (1st month at a discounted rate of $21.26 including tax) and request a refund for the $47.85 through their website. I have just submitted my request for a refund for the 4th time. I have not heard from anyone and there is not a human to answer questions or help at the telephone number provided on their website. Nobody calls or emails with any type of response. Apparently they just ignore. I want my refund. Thank you.Business Response

I do need to tell you that Amanda with Russell Speeder did call. She did refund 6 months of overcharges on July 3.
I wish it had been easier to contact her but there is no contact method given on their website .
As far as I am concerned, though, my complaint is closed.

On 3/30/2023 I went to Russell Speeder to get my car washed. I was badgered and talked down to by the attendant trying to sell me a car wash membership which I didn't want. When I told her I wasn't interested she said I could get a discounted car wash on the spot if I signed up but could cancel it at any time after wards which I did the same day. I called the number to cancel and thought that would be the end of it however, I was billed exactly one month later for the monthly membership fee of approx. $**. I am working to resolve this through my credit card company but want to warn others of the sales practices and deception going on at this company.Business Response

Russell speeders car wash ***** * ***** ****** is *****!! When I go to car wash on 2/11/2023, the salesman suggest a one-month unlimited wash for $*****, he said I can have my car wash 5 times a day to 3/13, I accepted it and paid for with my credit card. I went car wash another time towards the end of February, and I tried to wash on 3/11 but the wash already closed. I did another car wash on the last day 3/13. Then on 3/25 when I check my credit card statements, I noticed that my credit card was charged another $***** from Russell speeders, a big surprise!!! I NEED them to REFUND it to me!!! I called the business and talked to Holly the manager, she said she can not refund to me. this is cheating customers, it is not the right way to do business, as I was not told anything close to what Russell speeders are doing now. ******** ******** business!!!!!Initial Complaint

Russell speeders car wash over charged me when I renewed my account, I was only supposed to pay $***** and was charged $*****. I called them to get it corrected and make sure it doesn't happen again as the attendant never told me price had changed or any issues with my account nor did she issue me a receipt. I received an alert from my bank regarding the charge and called immediately. I had been told I will receive a $** credit however I still haven't received it, and I was told it was issued on Monday, July 25th. This business needs to issue my credit as they charged me incorrectly.Business Response

The only way to do that is to come to the location and receive the money. What was done though that you were put back on the lower plan and they also gave you a free month so your next payment would be 9/22/2022 instead of 8/22/2022. That is a $***** discount instead of $**. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do.
