My experience with CHI health has been horrific. My main problem is a bill that was sent to collections. There were two separate bills on the same account that we’re both set up under a payment plan, for whatever reason, CHI decided to review one of the bills, I was never notified. Upon the completion of the review, they completely remove that bill from my account that I had set up onto a payment plan. I was never notified of this. Instead of putting it back on a payment plan, they just put it on the billing cycle without a payment plan, and ultimately it ended up being sent to collections. CHI never made contact with me, I was never informed, and I did not know that this was even being taken off of a payment plan. It was entirely without my knowledge and extremely unfair. After spending several hours on the phone with the billing support, the first call a few months ago, I was told that they would submit a request for a recall to the debt collection agency. This was upon completion of reviewing every transcript we had from each conversation. Upon completion of a check-in phone call today because I never heard back regarding the recall, I was told that the supervisor who put in the recall, never did. He just notated the account. And I quote, “it was not detailed enough “. So basically, here is my situation, I was a patient at CHI health, after all of my bills were received in the mail, I set them up on a payment plan. A few months later, CHI decided to review the payment plan, without notifying me. Subsequently upon the completion of the review, they entirely remove that bill from my payment plan. I was never notified, in the statements they sent to the address was the wrong address. After that, I was notified by a collection agency that the bill had been sent. I’m being held responsible for something I was never made aware of. After speaking to a supervisor on the phone today, I was told there was really nothing I can do. An absolute disgrace an malpractice.

If you go to this hospital, be ready for a heafty bill. Paid $150 co pay before leaving then got a $900 bill in the mail after for a clinic visit!! No tests ran, no medication, no temp check literally nothing but a conversation had at this clinic. When we called to ask about payments or a possible discount we were told that they don’t do that and that you can negotiate your bill BEFORE your service, not after… WHAT?!?

If I could give CHI hospital a negative star review I would. Worst hospital I have ever been treated at. Worst nurses ( with the except two … Brittany and Faith on the 4th floor). if you do get stuck here…PRAY PRAY you get one of them. It is currently 2:56 am and I am sitting in my room crying my eyes out. My purewick is full, I have no water, no ice, feel like I am having chest pains, and dealing with the worst bone pain due to multiple myeloma. Oh, and my infusion machine is beeping non- stop. Apparently I am in charge of hitting the restart button when the patient side gets clogged. I guess being in this shithole for 18 days gives me the qualifications of a nurse.

Miss diagnosed and charged a ton of money in the process. Blood work was sent from Lincoln to Omaha for processing cbc and standard testing, delaying results and care. Billing is just as bad as the care. Bill office is located in the Philippines, had very little knowledge of insurance and accounting information.

Received a call from a collections agency stating I had a bill from CHI with them. I did not receive said bill or any notice of said bill. I contacted them shortly after receiving the call and they informed they would send me my statements since I did not receive it to begin with, they did not take it out of collections though. It has been impossible to pay this bill and the billing department has does nothing but jerk me around while trying to pay this bill. I've tried to update information with them and it continues to be entered incorrectly. This company is extremely difficult to deal with and this is not the first time I have encountered a billing "issue" in the years I have been seen by them.

As a hospital system that prides themselves on patient care, you have staff who are wishing ill on patients based on how they voted in the election. To me, when a nurse takes the oath, they are to advocate for patients no matter what. You have nurses on social media stating “not gonna feel bad for them when they are impacted” HOW SHAMEFUL

CHI billed my 19 yo daughter $513 for a COVID booster when she was in getting a wellness check as required for her nursing degree. The Dr made didn't say there would be a charge, let alone an outrageous charge like this added onto the already $254 visit fee. We called and disputed and the customer service rep was very rude and at the end said we cannot dispute charges. I suggest getting a detailed estimate for anything you do with them before you agree.

I was treated in an awful manner. I went in for left flank pain, and only Came in after using all the NSAIDS I had at home They did a quick work up, which included a CT scan and bloodwork. I was given some IV fluids with some non narcotic medication added. As soon as my CT scan came back normal as did my blood work, they didn’t have much to do with me. I was in excruciating pain and wheeled my IV pole out to the nurses station sobbing in pain and asked for pain medication and my nurse said “what do you want me to give you.? I already gave you something.” I answered that it wasn’t working and said you are the nurse what do you think. The ER doctor never laid a hand on me. Never listened to my heart, palpated the part of my body that the pain was coming from, or explained what it could be. I, at that time, felt like I was being treated like I was seeking narcotics even though I have never had any issued through the ER or my regular pcp. They had an aloof attitude, didn’t care about my pain and I left after being given a non narcotic NSAID. I was sent home with RX’s for a lidocaine patch, EX Tylenol and cyclobbenzaprine. I left crying in pain and humiliated. They said I didn’t have insureance which I did. Why they couldn’t access it in their system I don’t know. Because of their inability to treat me and my pain, I was forced to go to another ER the next night. I will never ever set foot in that er again and am changing my insurance as soon as I can. I was humiliated and made to feel like I was less then because I was asking for pain meds. This was my first and only visit to CHI ER. I would tell people don’t ever go there unless you want to be treated like do do

I have had the WORST experience of my life with this office's billing department! They failed to bill by insurance (although I gave them my insurance card and ID along with ALL updated demographic information) and sent a $1,500 balance to their collection agency "Clear Recovery". These people have harassed me for months now as I have been trying to resolve this. They have yelled and cursed at me, threatened me even. They told me that I needed to pay the full amount even though I explained it had not been billed to insurance and that I had an active insurance policy and did at the time the service was rendered. They would not listen to a word I said, instead just kept yelling at me. I 10/10 would not recommend CHI anesthesia JUST based on this awful experience. I will never go to a CHI facility again, period.
