This company will NOT STOP sending me Life Insurance applications no matter how many times I tell them I am NOT interested and please STOP contacting me, they are wasting my time and their "no postage necessary" return envelope. I AM NOT INTERESTED wth is wrong with you people? Do you think if you constantly harass someone they'll change their minds? I receive at least two applications a month. I believe this company thinks if your over a certain age, that you've lost your marbles and will become persistent in obtaining YOUR MONEY. That is their sole purpose, to receive a monthly stipend.Mutual of Omaha Response

Mutual of Omaha has failed to pay my STD claim in a reasonable amount of time. Claim opened 4/28/2024 and to this date, I’ve yet to receive any payments, any letters requesting extension for additional review, any denial citing why my claim is delayed or denied despite all supports being supplied by 5/8/2024. Your representative Joe handling STD claims SIGHED in frustration and uttered “oh my god” when I asked why my MEDICAL DOCTOR’S signed form and therapy notes were insufficient. Joe was unable to answer and instead THREATENED to deny my claim if I didn’t do what he said. MY QUESTION IS, how does a representative who does not have a medical license/degree, psychiatry training, certification, or even attended medical school making a decision pertaining to a diagnosis they have minimal knowledge of. Id like to know how many hours, IF ANY, has Joe committed to psychiatric treatment, psychology, therapy, etc?? Better yet, how many hours have your claims reps spent in a psychiatric setting to understand how mental health illnesses? How many hours have your representatives spent in a psychotherapy setting handling and understanding THERAPY NOTES to make said decisions? What is the accredited institution that facilitated these certifications/hours or experience? I plan on exhausting all avenues to submit complaints until all of my concerns have been addressed including unfair claims practices, despicable customer service and discriminatory treatment has been addressed to my satisfaction.Review from Cheryl G

We worked with Peter L****** and Caitie S**** trying to get a home loan. They confirmed they knew the date we were closing and kept asking for more documents the night before saying they could still make it happen. Come to find out they actually required 72 hours from that point to see if they could fund the loan. This happened multiple times. It became very clear that they had no idea what they were doing. They lied to us several times during the process. Please be warned and don't work with this bank.Review from John S

One of their sales reps called me claiming they were from my current insurance company. He told me that my policy was flagged that I have been overpaying for 12 years on it. When I asked him if they were going to send me a refund check, he stated no that they would add it to my cash value of my policy. As he kept speaking he mention Mutual of Omaha, to which I said wait, are you from my insurance company or are you trying to sell me a new policy. He said well technically it would be under Mutual of Omaha but it would still carry over from your current policy. He was going to sell me a policy through them which would not have cancelled or overrode my current policy. Their sales people are total scammers, and I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from a company that calls me and tries to represent themselves as my current provider to get me to buy something from them. STAY FAR AWAY AND DON'T BE FOOLED BY THEIR SHADY SALES TACTICS !!!!Mutual of Omaha Response

Hi, Ryan. Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. Without knowing the email in question, it is difficult to answer your question. For emails that do not contain sensitive information, marketing emails for example, we use TLS encryption and then direct customers to login to access their customer details. If you would like to discuss your complaint further, please email your name and question to [email protected].Review from Sheila K.

Literally zero stars if I could. First the guy that sent my pre approval told me 6. Something percent. Then it turned out being 7.2 which was fine, but then proceeded to tell me I also have to pay an extra $3,500 which was not told to me when I got my pre approval. Mind you we put an offer on a place we were hoping to close on in 4 weeks which now we can't do because we are shopping for a new lender cause I'm not paying an extra 3,500 that I was not told about in the beginning. Also was told as a scare tactic not to shop for any more lenders cause if my score goes down anymore I won't be able to get a loan so I should pretty much just stay with them. That should literally be illegal. I've got names and emails. I will be filing complaints. Literally go anywhere else. To keep from getting lied to.Mutual of Omaha Response

This company is terrible at helping out and makes things really complicated. My grandma (who passed away three years ago) had a life insurance policy for me which she has paid for 12+ years. I went through mutual several times to get the policy ownership changed under my name and they wouldn’t allow it. They said I would have to put it under my aunts name (the executor of the estate). So basically I would have to pay my aunt every year or have her pay for MY life insurance which isn’t going to happen. I would not recommend getting any services done with themReview from

Interesting that MOH has an A+ rating with BBB with hundreds of complaints on file--paying for BBB accreditation to get an A+ has it's smoke and mirror benefits I guess...Review from Deanna K
