    Today, May 14th 2024, marks 2 weeks since I gave my keys over and moved out of **** pine street, 68106. I received an email from my former leasing company, Nebraska Lifestyles, entailing a debt which I think is absolutely unacceptable for them to attempt to put on me, for "repairs" listed that need to be done to the house. They're essentially attempting to have me pay for the regular upkeep a landlord would come in and do, not only that, but for a bit of an update! What proof do I have based off this pricing sheet that any of this cost what it cost? The blinds, baseboards, floors. Counters, et etc... all in the condition of when I first moved in. Liars! And then to put the cost so high on all these items. Normal wear and tear.Their responsibility No photo or video proof of the quality / "damages" from move in/ out. No receipts or proof of repairs provided. This to me is extortion. They tried to do this to me when I lived there too. Dangle my living situation over my head to get some BS repairs out of it. They have a security deposit totaling 1550 from when we first moved in. That's what it's there for. They can keep it. They've put 150 a pop for every little nail hole in the wall. I left the house in good condition. My father had rental homes. I know bad condition. A normal amount of trash was left for a move out. To expect anyone to pay this is ridiculous. Some members of their staff were helpful . But others often rude and gave a "why should I help YOU attitude " . I have 0 evictions. Good tennant. If they'd try this with me just imagine how many others they're doing this to. I paid my rent on time and upkept the property, even going so far as to in home repairs myself when possible. They did a walk thru 12 months ago and the house looked the same, but they didn't have Baseboards and all this other repairs on here. * They're trying to get me to pay for the repairs that are their own responsibility. Plain and simple. With no proof.

    Nebraska Lifestyles has managed our home in Omaha for over a year. Our home was trashed and we received a 8000 dollar bill to fix the damages. The best part is that this company wants to charge us 800 dollars for a "project management fee" to fix the damages. They make money from doing the repairs after a home is trashed, so they make their money on both ends. They wanted to evict the renters because they were "crazy" and "bad people", but didn't provide any documentation or evidence of that. Now that the house is trashed this "property management" company says it is our fault. They do not actually manage the property, they just provide a payment portal and take their money and then make more money fixing the house after they created a bad relationship with the tenants. Also our property manager lives in Denver, not Nebraska, so I think we may actually live closer to our house in Nebraska than the property managers that we are paying. We are terminating our contract with this company due to their poor performance and shady business practices.
