1 starLiving here was terrible, let me share how. *Several instances of people and dogs getting mauled by unleashed dogs in the courtyard. *Horrendous parking that has left our cars with dents, scratches, and damage that we have to deal with. *Flying roaches in the breezeways! *Piles and piles of rotting trash that overflow the trash cans. *The cat litter that our neighbors would leave in the breezeways in front of their dryer vent so it would vaporize into the air like a cat pee air freshener. *MANY people's cars getting burglarized, including my partner's. *The constantly broken gate, like it almost didn't work the entire 2.5 years we lived there. *$400 electric bills even though it wouldn't get below 75 in our apartment. *Constantly dripping air conditioner pipe that left nasty rusty stains in the bathtub. *Constantly leaking vent that began to mold. *Water that would consistently get shut off, warning sometimes given and sometimes not. That meant when the water would come on nasty black specks that stick to everything would come with it for a solid 10 minutes of running water. *Staff that would either follow the posted hours for the office or not. *Consistently rude and unprofessional maintenance staff. *Maintenance requests that would go unanswered for over month. *Package theft, from your own locker, that your staff did not assist with video evidence for the police reports. *Key fobs that may or may not work. That drive up and scan sticker never worked. I had to get at least 5 replacement fobs. *The consistent smell of weed at the pool and sometimes in our home. *Phone calls to the office that almost never got answered. I am writing to formally rebut the response provided by Slosburg Company concerning my complaint regarding the unresolved issues and incidents I have faced at Tuscany Court Apartments. Their response is a blatant falsehood and does not address the serious concerns I have raised about racial discrimination and unprofessional conduct by their staff. I have been a resident at Tuscany Court for four years, maintaining an A+ rental history and seldom being home due to frequent travel. Despite this, I have been subjected to severe and unacceptable treatment, which I firmly believe is racially discriminatory. The recent response from Slosburg Company claimed that the issues I raised had been handled, which is patently false. Specifically, I have been subjected to demeaning and discriminatory behavior from Charla Taylor, who spoke to me in a manner that was both degrading and reminiscent of racial subjugation. Additionally, Jamiee Marymee has forced my hand to never go into the leasing office again without any legitimate grounds, despite my impeccable rental history and timely payments. A white tenant would never be subjected to this kind of racial discrimination. I have been unjustly barred from using the amenities at the apartment complex, including the printing and faxing, swimming pool, and gym. This prohibition has been enforced without any legitimate reason, as I have never threatened or harmed anyone at Tuscany Court Furthermore, I was instructed never to contact maintenance, which is an essential service for any tenant. The racial profiling and discrimination I have encountered from Richdale Properties staff have been evident and distressing. These issues arose from a dispute over a wrongly scheduled carpet cleaning, and since then, I have been treated as if I were at fault, despite the absence of any evidence against me. Jamiee Marymee dismissed my concerns, and her plan did nothing to address Charla Taylor's derogatory behavior towards me. My witness dont lie!Slosburg Company

We have thoroughly investigated your claims and reviewed all recorded calls between you and our associates. After our review, we found no instances of discriminatory behavior in those interactions. Additionally, we want to clarify that you are not barred from any of our amenities. We recommended if you feel like you are not receiving the help you need from the leasing office to instead call the corporate office for further assistance.Review fromVM B

I hope this email finds you well. I am a resident at Tuscany Court Apartments. I am writing to express my deep concern and dissatisfaction with a recent interaction I had with Charla T*****, Account Reprsentative at the leasing office. On June 27th, 2024, Charla called me regarding a miscommunication about carpet cleaning. During this call, her tone was hostile and threatening, making me feel interrogated and demeaned. She informed me that I am no longer welcome in the leasing office, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. I have never threatened anyone, and my witness can attest to this. This situation stemmed from a simple miscommunication about the carpet cleaning date, which was scheduled incorrectly. Not to mention I pay for those amenities at the Tuscany Court Apt such as the copier, fax, computer, Swimming pool access, Gym etc. I rarely visit the leasing office as I travel frequently for work. My interactions are typically limited to addressing issues with packages. I have been a resident here for four years with an impeccable rental history. The way Charla spoke to me was not only unprofessional but also discriminatory. I strongly believe she would not have treated a white woman in the same manner, making me feel targeted based on my race. Additionally, I am troubled by individuals walking through the hallways with AK-47 shotguns, which has not been addressed despite numerous complaints. Meanwhile, I am being denied access to the leasing office, which is both unfair and discriminatory. Charla’s actions have created a hostile living environment for me, and I now fear for my safety. This situation is unacceptable, and I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly. I request a formal meeting with a senior representative of the Richdale Group to discuss this incident and ensure such situations do not recur. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious matter. I look forward to your response and a swift resolution.Slosburg Company

We have further investigated the complaint filed by Ms. Brown. Pursuant to her request, she did speak with a senior representative. All matters were discussed and addressed, including the claims against discrimination which we feel are unwarranted.Review fromRebecca S

1 starWish I could give 0 stars but figured you all should know. They charged me for a work order that still hasn’t been done (water damage). It’s been for 2 months now and when I refused to pay the work order (I paid my rent in full) they charged me a late fee and threatened legal action. I paid because I am 23 years old on my own and 8 months pregnant so I am not going to lose my home. Corporate has done nothing to help, and my leasing office hasn’t either (Alpine Village). We keep having dates promised (my neighbor and I) but the days come and go with no work being done still. They refuse to aknowledge that they cornered me and stole my money only to never fix what they claim was “absolutely necessary”. I will be filing a formal complaint with BBB and potentially seeking legal action. What a disgrace of a company. STAY AWAY FROM RICHDALE!!!Review fromShinay I

1 starI moved into Kensington woods and the first month of me being there in 2019 my windows froze leaked and held no heat. Due to it being during the pandemic I was told the window company couldn’t replace the windows until it warmed up and they weren’t behind. I lived there for almost two years and could only sleep in the living room with my three children each winter because the rooms would not hold heat. My ceiling flooded multiple times. One of my light fixtures filled with water and cracked and the taped the cracked glass back over the light fixture with electrical tape causing it to fall on my foot when entering my apartment. They had a building next door to mine that had burned down that they were doing construction on. During them repairing the foundation they piled dirt on my building and removed part of the spout for the rain. When it rained it covered the only walk way with 3 inches of mud from the run off. I slipped and cracked my collar bone and could not work for a week. I also called them and let the know what happened. They sent someone to scrape the walk way but did nothing to help me saying I didn’t do an incident report. I was never told I need to file one nor knew it existed. A few months later. during the pandemic rental assistance was offered in my area. I applied and was approved and my payment was received and applied to my account. Due to their mistake the money was missing. I spent months looking for them now they have sent me to collection and charging me for months I was not there. I also sent them a 14/30day notice to fix the windows with winter coming. I was out at the end of that notice. By law in Nebraska I’m not obligated to repay if they deny or lose my rent no matter how it was paid and if they didn’t fix anything I could move without paying that month. They still charged me. With the 14 day notice they were also supposed to give my deposit. They took me to eviction court 2 times and it was dismissed by a judge because they were paid.Review fromRyan R

1 starI had an interview with Blanca A., a recruiter with the company for working with the location in Addison/Galleria. During this interview it turned down an avenue of very borderline legal topics. I was asked about 1) salary in multiple preemployment positions, 2) specific circumstances of leaving previous employment positions, and 2) convictions/arrests. I didn't know these topics are considered highly frowned upon, in fact illegal until I reflected on the interview with another individual. I had some reassurance, but when the spotlight was surrounding specifics, this felt just like a longer list to not get hired.Review fromJUSTIN S.

This is a complete joke of a company. When I moved in 2 years ago, rent alone was $835. After trying to renew and being there 15 months, they raised my rent nearly 30% to $1080. That was after refusing to pay the price difference initially and not accepting their original offer, in the $1100 plus range. Everything is old and outdated, the pictures look nothing like your actual unit. Carpet is old and has been there for multiple tenants, trim is missing and the cabinets are from the 90's. The deck had nails sticking up and broken wood that would give you splinters. They didn't clean under the stove, so there was old and moldy food under there from previous tenants. The bathroom closet had old q-tips and loose pills laying in it. It took multiple months and arguments for them to replace my 20 year old AC unit that was racking me up a $275 electric bill in the summer time. Maintenance would come in your apartment at times without prior approval or notice. No AC or heat in the hallways so your electric bills in general are crazy for a 700 sq ft apartment. They will try to get you with whatever fees they possibly can. Post move out and I just got a bill for $444.39. This includes $200 of my deposit and an additional $244.39 for extremely exaggerated claims and costs. I lived there for 2 years, any reasonable person would surmise, there will be some wear and tear. They want $240 to "resurface" 12 sq. ft of some cheap laminate counter tops, $88.44 for "stove damage" which they don't even specify for an already very used stove. $83.61 for a drawer in a fridge that doesn't even cost a third of that brand new. Not to mention, they swap out appliance parts from other used appliances. This is the definition of business malpractice. Not only do they try to screw you over when you live there, they will after you leave as well. Do not rent from this company or you will regret it like I did!Slosburg Company

We work hard to provide a great place to live for our residents here at The Vanderbilt, and regret that you were unhappy upon moving out of our community. We are aware you have been in communication with our move outs department in which they offered you some solutions, but you have declined. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Corporate Office. Thank you.JUSTIN S.

RIchdale obviously doesn't work near hard enough and your reviews reflect that. HA "some solutions", yes if you consider that a slap in the face of a 15% "discount" of what you're trying to bill me. Of course I declined that because that's a complete joke. I have been in contact with Cherrie Hug and that has been as unpleasant of an experience as can be. I refuse to waste my time trying to communicate with such a rude and condescending person. And that is putting it in the most kind way possible. This is the person you have communicating with tenants? If that doesn't point enough towards you're lack of caring as a company, I don't know what does. How she has a job still is beyond flabbergasting. She'll ask you a question and you can't even get two words out before she interrupts and speaks over you. If you don't believe me, go listen to the recorded calls. Now if you have someone who doesn't have the temperament of a 3rd grader and has a fair and legitimate solution, I'm willing to talk. If not, we can settle this in court, everything has been and is being documented. Thanks for your time!JUSTIN S.

Stay far away from this company. They have failed to provide a bill from "vendors" to verify the actual amounts are true. Instead they up charge the actual cost and make up invoices so they can have another stream of revenue.Review fromEric S.

1 starThis company operates an apartment I currently live in in Golden Valley, MN. When I moved in in October 2022 construction was still going on to finish the remainder of units as well as all the amenities. The leasing agent said their hope was for the amenities to be done by 1/1/23. It's now September and nothing is done. I understand construction projects have delays, but it doesn't seem like anyone is ever working on anything and they still advertise all the amenities on their website as if they're finished, which seems fraudulent. We also had mold issues in our room, which they responded initially by having a leasing agent come and wipe it up with paper towels. We then had to call someone from the city of Golden Valley to come ensure it was safe and there would be no further issues. They found that it was a ventilation issue and we should continue to run our fan to reduce moisture. This helped mildly, mold came back once more while also raising our utility bill. The whole operation feels like promises were made knowing full well they wouldn't be kept. They just wanted to lock people into leases and have them sign addendums that made it so they could never complain about lack of service or progress. I know I'm far from the only person to have this experience, read any review of the place online. The company should be investigated for their practices, or potential residents should be made aware of people's past experiences so they know what they're signing on for.Review fromTabitha O

1 starThis is the worse apartments I have ever lived in. Emeleigh is the apartments manager and Richdale, the corporate office and owner, allows her to do whatever she wishes. So do not try to go to corporate for help because it will be fruitless. I have lived in Saxony Apartments for 2 years and have dealt with air-conditionless summers, work orders closed without being worked, no lights on the property for safety, i have been held responsible for bad information that was give to me by Emeleigh on top of her rudeness and her I don't give a F*** attitude. I have been dealing with corporate for issues with Saxony Apartments since February 2022 and now I've moved to Prestonbridge (Another Richdale Property) and the problems have followed me here. Richdale does not hold their managers responsible for their actions no matter how much proof you give them. When I moved out of Saxony they charged me 1300.00 and did not remove the charges despite me sending them over 72 pictures of the apartment when I moved out. So now I have to get my attorney involved. In fact they came back with their own photographs all grayed, shadowed, and grained. I would swear there photos came from another apartment. TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR APARTMENT BEFORE YOU MOVE IN or they will hold you responsible for all of the work they did NOT do and promised to do. That is just part of the problem I am having with them now. You might as well move to a bad neighborhood because that is what the living will be like if you move here. Good luck and God bless you on your moving journey.Review fromBen R.

1 starHas the standard $35 application fee, which is fine, but also has a $150 administrative fee for applying which is insane. Also, upon accepting your application, they will just take out the deposit from your account automatically, before the lease is even signed. Then, if you choose to not sign the lease on the apartment, they will refuse to give you back the deposit. The fine print clearly states that the application fee and admin fee are non-refundable, which is fine, but they reword and group all 3 fees together in a later section, so it is very easy to miss that the security deposit is non-refundable.
