      Disgraceful that these people sold their company off to some Chinese brand while still getting away with stating their profits are made here in America just because the hay is grown in Nebraska. It's is yellow horse and pig hay that they're marketing as small animal feed. We have a rescue and our pigs will NOT eat that garbage. This goes for their biscuits that are marketed as "vitamins" as well, as well as their garden variety and organic variety of their pellets. They crumble them up and leave them sit there. Upon calling to complain the last time, some broad who answers the phones and probably has never had a small animal in her life, said the disgusting hay is "sun-bleached". Of course as with all BBB listed businesses, they declare them unaccredited and even with negative reviews, they still maintain an A+ rating. BBB, YOU need to do your job too.

      Found multiple pieces of mangled metal with sharp edges in my bale of hay, some pieces were large while others were small and hard to detect, as a result my daughter's rabbit received cuts and needed veterinarian care. The representative of Oxbow offered another bale of hay for free then turned around and said they only got approved for a 90 ounce bag then the representative ghosted me. This is UNACCEPTABLE! My rabbits could have perished, we could have severed an artery and yet Oxbow doesn't appear to care.

      I have been purchasing Oxbow hay for over 20 years. In the past 2 years I have seen a severe decline in the quality of the hay. The last bag of *************** Grass hay I bought was the worst I have ever seen. It is mostly powder, not hay. And the price has gone up by over $2 per package. I have no way to return it, as it is packed so tightly that I have to cut the bag open just to get the "hay" out.
      Twenty years as a faithful customer and this is what has come of that? Oxbow has just lost a customer. Very, very disappointed and angry.
