    I called to have a pilot light lit (not an emergency call I waited a week for the appointment). It cost me $250. I asked what the hourly rate is and was told $250 for the first hour $150 for every hour after. My problem was solved, however, I just want people to know his hourly rate. If I had it to do over I would call around and ask up front what the hourly rate is.

    I am sorry to hear that the customer is upset, but I did more than just light a pilot, I also did a complete inspection on the furnace to make sure that the controls and other parts of the furnace was not the reason for the failure of the furnace, I also found several things that were either wrong or not working properly on the furnace that had no connection to the pilot but did on the performance of the furnace to produce heat which I explained to the customer's father because she was not there at the time. Items that should be taken care of as soon as possible. Advice and expertise should be payable

    My only concern is your hourly rate is $250 for the first hour and $150 after that. If I had it to do over I should have asked. That's on me but maybe this review will remind others to shop around.
