I have had a loan with right direction since April 2021. They have never reported my loan to the credit bureau and just sold my loan to another company. They would threaten to turn my vehicle off with their kill switch on my starter and if I was a few days late at the end of the month they would say they need the payment because they have to report to the credit bureau which they never didInitial Complaint

To Whom It May ********* am writing to file a formal complaint against Right Direction Financial due to their blatant violations of federal laws and their refusal to engage in constructive dialogue to resolve the matter. Firstly, Right Direction Financial has egregiously violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act ****** Under the ****** they have engaged in harassing and abusive behavior by contacting third parties without permission and at inconvenient times. Additionally, they have failed to adhere to the ***** provisions, neglecting to prioritize the well-being of individuals with disabilities and failing to comply with relevant health and safety protocols. due to my Athsma I almost died because of how they wanted to handle things Despite my efforts to address these violations and negotiate a settlement, Right Direction Financial has consistently refused to come to the table for meaningful discussions. I have repeatedly attempted to engage them in dialogue to find a mutually agreeable solution, but they have shown a complete disregard for cooperation and resolution. I am genuinely committed to reaching a mutual agreement and resolving this matter amicably. However, Right Direction Financial's unwillingness to participate in negotiations hinders our ability to find a resolution that is fair and equitable for both parties. I implore Right Direction Financial to reconsider their stance and engage in constructive dialogue to address these violations and find a mutually agreeable solution. I remain open to negotiation and am willing to work towards a settlement that is satisfactory for all parties involved. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that the BBB will take appropriate action and help me get Right Direction Financial to come to the negotiation table. I recently totaled my car I had insurance plus gap insurance. The my insurance company paid $12,900 and I still had a balance for five grand. My gap insurance covers that $5000. Right Direction Financial service knows this but said that it takes up to three months For the gap insurance to go through but they want me to keep paying my car payments even though that they know theyre going to get the money and they refuse to work with me and continuously tell me and threaten me about my credit score that Ive been working hard onBusiness Response

When you pull out the car loan they advise that they are going to report the payment history to the 3 credit report agencies and they don't. They do not stand by their word poor business practices.Business Response

Right Direction Financial Services Holdings LLC, is an indirect automotive financing company, with Bi-Weekly Payment Schedules ( Every Fourteen Days) from the date of the first payment listed on the Retail Installment Sales Contract. In this instance, first payment date was on 00/00/0000 which fell on Wednesday hence the reason why the contractual obligation is every other Wednesday beginning on such date.
Due to nature of the contract, contractual dates are not/cannot be changed.

I bought my first car in Dec 2019. Right direction financed it. I traded the car to the same dealership in June 2021. After having the car I realized I didn’t like it, and wanted to trade it in. I was able to trade it in, and Right direction mailed me an overpayment check. Some reason my car payment doubled with the new car, I thought it was just because I went with an an SUV. 4 months later I had them come get it cause I was paying way too much. Now, here it is 2023 and a dealership told me I have $50,000 open on 2 Auto loans through right direction. Which is bizarre! The salesman I worked with called them and he was told I was in possession of both vehicles still. How is that possible if they sent me an overpayment check and sold the other one at auction? It’s destroying my credit and making my debt to income ratio out of whack and I’m unable to get help anywhere. I’ve emailed the company, left voicemails. No one is returning my calls or emails.Business Response

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: I don’t feel like it should have come this far. I have emailed, left voicemails, and have been unable to he helped all this time at dealerships. I’ve been frowned upon and told I needed to do and be better. I don’t feel that was fair. I also do believe my last payment through right direction was $687 a month because I was paying for two auto loans. I don’t feel starting a dispute will help solve any issues or what I’ve had to deal with since this has all taken place.

Right Direction caused me a financial loss, emotional distress, embarrassment and anxiety. This is a result of their deliberate and illegal actions. Right Direction refused to apply payment, stating they would hold my payment as credit until I made an additional payment. Threatening repossession if I did not. I was 3 days late. Right Direction disabled my vehicle, without warning, while I was out shopping XMas shopping 12/23. I had to get a ride and a tow. My vehicle remained disabled for 17 days, through Xmas and New year. I had NO VEHICLE, even thought my payments were current. It was turned on after I sent an email. I was harassed with multiple calls. Calling my reference, I was 5 days late. Calls after payment arrangements were agreed. Customer Service Agent disabled my vehicle in retaliation and to intentionally cause emotional/financial distress. It is impossible for me to work. I used the vehicle for medical delivery. How can any person work if their vehicle can be disable for no reason/retaliation? After 1 day late, two days late. No warning, no standards. I can't use vehicle at all, never knowing if they will disable vehicle. I could not make payment, it kept getting rejected even though the funds were available. I contacted Right Direction via email telling them I would make the payment in the next 3 days. Within a few hours my vehicle was once again disabled.. No warning, no contact. This was retaliation, i can prove it! Additionally, my bank would not approve the charge because Right Direction Financial is on a SCAM watch list. I had to get this transaction approved with a fraud specialist from my bank LIVE TIME. I get my vehicle disabled because Right Direction is on a SCAM watch list. The Customer Service Agents are the most unprofessional and the rudest people you will ever deal with. They think they can do whatever they want, whenever they want, just to hurt you. Tell us why here...Right Direction Financial Services Holdings LLC is an indirect automotive finance company. Right Direction Financial Service Holdings LLC is also a loan servicer.
The complainant entered into a retail loan agreement with Right Direction Financial Services Holdings LLC following the financing of a vehicle. As part of the retail loan agreement, the collateral was equipped with a GPS starter interrupt device. Right Direction Financial Services Holdings LLC has followed all appropriate federal and state laws, including right to cure guidelines, throughout the servicing of the retail loan contract. The complainant has made each of his loan payments through our website payment portal and continues to be able to do so until this day. The complainant contacted our office on 1/23/23 stating he could not complete a payment via the website. An IT request was made on the date of the notification from the complainant and the online profile was reset. The complainant made a payment using the portal the following day and continues to this date.

On December 10 of 2022, Right Direction Financial Services Approved me ***** ****** for a loan of 20.000 for a 2016 BMW 328i from ***** **** ***** in Derry NH. It's now February 3th and I'm still waiting on the proper paper work to insure the BMW. I call Right Direction over and over about this problem stated to them that ***** **** are holding back something or not tell me the whole situation on why is this taking a long time to insure and register the BMW, here in Massachusetts. Right Direction just keeps saying call the dealer and when can you make a payment. i then said to them are you not understanding what I'm saying or getting at. i can't move the car because ***** **** are holding back something from keep me from getting this car insured and registered. Came to find out that there is a lean on the BMW. Right Direction should of knew this before they gave me the loan. i then said to the bank I cant even drive the car out there because i have no plates. i do feel that the bank and the dealer are in this as one.Business Response

Any issues that may arise after the contract has been signed is between the customer and the dealer. Customer must be in contact with the dealer to resolve stated issue.

Right Direction Financial recieved the payoff check on 11.22.2022 and applied it to the balance owed. Customer called on the 11.21.2022 inquirying whether she will receive the overpayment check. Loan Servicing Agent informed the customer that the check will be sent out to them once payoff process is complete.
