    On May 28th my husband dropped my vehicle off at Littleton ***** (LC) and signed the consent to diagnose (attached below). Two days after, the service department called my husband and gave him the cost of the part ($350) and labor ($175/hr). He then called our usual mechanic who said he could fix it and then called LC back to tell them we'd pick the car up that night. He was told he could not pick up the car until the part was paid for, even after we stated we did not want the part. We both went in that evening to speak with them. The service manager, **** stated that he was placing a mechanics lein on the vehicle until the part was paid for. I asked if he had an authorization signed stating that we consented to paying for the part and he stated that he "didn't need one". He stated to us "you can believe whatever you want, but the car is staying here until you pay for the part, I'm not giving you the keys." Later in the conversation, he stated he would reach out to the parts manager to see if we could pay a restock fee for the part to be sent back to GM. **** stated that he was "unwilling" to do anything other than us pay for the part or restock fee ($115.50). I then spoke with the general manager, ***** on 6/3 and he stated he couldn't do anything for me and that he was sorry I was treated this way. Since this phone call with *****, I have tried to reach out via email and phone to speak with Parts, ***** and the Owner. I have received no communication back. I even reached out to another ***** to get help. They also stated they had never heard of something like this happening and were shocked. I filed a complaint through GM Customer Relations, and they do not have any documentation that this part was ordered on my behalf, through GM as LC states. They also have contacted the dealer to return my communication, and they have not. It seems this part may not have been ordered and I am being told I have to pay for it, or the restock fee in order to get my car back.
