I purchased a Bosch singular boiler on September 15, 2024 order number ******* for $2700. After unit was installed it did not work. On February 7, 2025, I contacted Bosch Tech line who recommended the replacement of the pressure switch. Upon arrival and installation it made no difference and I contacted the tech line again. This time they diagnosed that the control panel needed replaced. On February 17, 2025 a new control panel arrived damaged. Several emails to Bosch with pictures of the damaged control panel went unanswered. On March 11, 2025, I installed the damage control panel to see if it would work and the boiler would now run but radiant heat does not circulate. the hot water cycles on and off three times before it stays on, this results in about five minutes before continuous hot water is produced. I called the tech line to share what was happening with the damaged control panel and they determined that the damaged control panel was the problem. March 12 I received an email confirming they would send a free replacement control panel and display that never arrived. As of March 24, 2025 I emailed inquiring on when parts shipment would be sent. On March 26, 2025, I was told I should go purchase another boiler since parts are not available and verbally given a code (no email) for the replacement boiler. Contacted three local dealers as provided and instructed with the provided code and dealers said they have never heard of the code and required full payment in order to get another boiler. I am extremely frustrated and upset that Bosch does not stand behind their warranty and doesn't have the parts available to fix their appliances. In order to salvage this situation I am asking for a new boiler shipped to me directly. If Bosch would like the broken unit returned then return shipment should be paid by Bosch.Initial Complaint

I am writing to bring to your attention a significant issue I have encountered with the Bosch 20 SEER Inverter Ducted Split (IDS) HVAC system, which I purchased with the intent to improve the energy efficiency of my home and qualify for the $2,000 tax credit for installing energy-efficient HVAC systems.I relied heavily on Bosch's marketing materials, which stated that the Bosch IDS system is among the quietest air-to-air heat pumps on the market. Their brochure advertised, "Quiet Comfort Achieved" and detailed features such as silent blade technology, sound isolating mounts, and outdoor placement. It claimed the system could achieve outdoor sound levels as low as 56 dBA, supposedly superior to standard systems. However, I have experienced severe noise issues with the unit while operating in heat mode. The noise level has been measured at an alarming 83 dBA, which, according to a study conducted by *****************, is comparable to the sound of a freight train at 50 meters. This extreme noise creates a significant nuisance, impacting both my family's ability to sleep and causing disturbances for our neighbors.Bosch has acknowledged this issue by suggesting I operate the unit in electric mode as a remedy. However, this solution is unacceptable, as it results in exceedingly high energy costs, contradicting the very purpose of acquiring an energy-efficient system. As a retired individual, I face a difficult choice: either turn the heating system off at night, jeopardizing our comfort, or switch to electric mode, leading to substantially inflated electric bills.Furthermore, I have recently discovered that I am not alone in my frustrationsthere are numerous similar complaints regarding the excessive noise produced by this Bosch system. Despite this knowledge, Bosch has failed to offer an adequate solution and continues to promote the energy efficiency of the unit, completely undermining the standards set by the **** of Energy.Initial Complaint

We purchased our heat pump Bosch ac unit in November 2020 after a hurricane hit our town and ruined out other system. It was installed and probable a began within 6 months of purchase of the unit. It was plugged up which seemed harmless enough and had the installer of the unit come and clear the line. Everything seemed fine until a month later and we were low on Freon in the new unit somehow. After detection and more money out out a hole in the coil was found and a warranty coil was sent and replaced on the unit. From that the unit continually leaked water into our emergency drain pan for months. The ac guys said they called Bosch and they stated that it could take a long time to dry out. While the wetness in the unit continued this then caused the blower in the unit to die as well. Bosch warranty exchanged that part of the unit as well. All the while this is costing us thousands of dollars in labor and Freon each time. Then comes more recently in July of ****************************************************************************************************************** the coil and more money spent on Freon. And so here we are again today. Summer is about to be upon us and the unit is leaking water into the emergency drain again. There is no blockage in the unit and they cannot find a major issue. This unit is a lemon and has cost us thousands of dollars in repairs since getting it. We want a full replacement of the unit. This patching and vandalizing of the unit that is obviously faulty cannot continue. Please help.Initial Complaint

Had Bosch BRB-36HWD1N1-M18 Package HVAC installed by local HVAC company in June 2023. Unit failed beginning of April 2024 (C#*******). Technician determined that the motherboard was not functioning and ordered a replacement. It took two weeks to receive that part. Once installed, they determined that the compressor unit was not operating and caused the motherboard to go out. Now another two weeks, fingers crossed to get another part. So far three weeks without a working unit. Talked to the distributorship that provides parts (******** Supply) about the delay in parts. They are telling me it is a supply issue that they have with all HVAC parts. If you are producing products and selling them, how is it that there are not replacement parts? Is it simply that these companies prioritize selling their products? What financial incentives are there for honoring warranties? Reputation? And if they (HVAC Mfg.) are all negligent about honoring warranties in a timely fashion, they have even less incentive to serve their customers. Is it just ********************** or are all manufacturers focused more on todays profits rather than the financial liability of warranties? As a consumer, it seems corporate greed rather than product integrity may be the root of my problem. Unless penalties are imposed for failing to honor warranties timely all consumers will continue to deal with these issues and hear the same supply excuses. No problems in purchasing products exists. The problem in supply issues is limited to replacement parts. We are all being scammed and victimized. I suspect if the parts werent under warranty and the cost of those parts were borne by the consumer, the supply issues would magically disappear.Initial Complaint

I had installed a Bosch heat pump in Feb 2024 and its a POS! Techs have been out here and cant get the PIs working like advertised. To get it running we needed to installed a Honeywell thermostat and so much for variable speed one speed and its like a wind tunnel in my home. Warm, I say not! I have to kick it up to 74 when its 50 degree out to get some warm air - which takes 15 mins. I am worried what issue we will have in the summer. I am strongly consider going to the local new station and doing a reporting price encouraging consumers not to buy Bosch!. The issue isnt the installer other than their tech not trained to work on Bosch. Its the product itself as it doesnt work as advertised! We are seeking a solution quickly from Bosch or have the installer out in another brand. Bosch has really bad reviews yet some how they are getting company to sell their product.Initial Complaint

It is a warranty issue. It is a 15 year warranty on this part ( heater exchanger) that I have had for 9 years and still have 6 years left on this heater exchanger. The problem is this heater exchanger cost 1300.00 dollars which is more than what I paid for the whole unite. Bosch is trying to get out of honoring that warranty. Bosch is saying I installed the exhaust wrong, but on there owners manual of the 940 es natural gas unite on page 17 fig.14 and fig.16 the unite is installed correct. The problem is that Bosch do not want to honor the warranty because of the amount of the part the ( heater exchanger) which is again 1300.00 dollars so they will try to avoid that at all cost and that is not acceptable according to the 15 year warranty of this part. I bought this unit Nov of 2015 and I have 6 more years before the heater exchanger warranty is over. So I want Bosch to honor the warranty and send me that part at no charge because it is under their warranty policy.Customer Answer

I have a ref # ***08 and ticket # *******518000829 for this complaint that might make it easier for that company to know who I am. Bosch did not honor the warranty on the heater exchanger and I paid 1136.88 Feb 08, 2024 so now I want to get my money back from Bosch. Hopefully those 2 numbers help to make this a lot easier to identify who I am with Bosch. Thank you.Initial Complaint

Bosch failed to fulfill a warrenty obligation after 4 months of failed attempts to provide accurate techical support on parts replacement. The inaccurate support lead to a total system failure and then Bosch would not repond to resolve the issue.Initial Complaint

The complaint is regarding the boiler for residential heating. The boiler was covered under 5 years manufacturer's warranty for parts and labor. The unit was installed 03/14/2018. The water leakage from the pressure relief valve was observed in September 2022. The complaint was reported to the company(Bosch thermotechnology division) on 9/21/22 via call and subsequently via email on 9/22/22. A lengthy and extensive communication with the company and follow ups with their recommended contractors ensued. Finally after spending about $2000 and a restless one month, the complaint was resolved after the manufacturer's authorized service contractor replaced the heat exchanger plate on 10/25/22. I have been awaiting settlement of my claim of parts and labor since then. The service contractor (The Universe Home Service) says they are waiting for Bosch to settle the claim. I registered my complaint with NY State Division Of Consumer Protection (DCP) in Jan 2023. But they were not successful in getting the company ( Bosch Thermo Technology) to respond.
