  If I could leave a negative star rating, I would. A representative knocked on the door of my parent's property, claiming to have extra material from another job. They offered to seal coat the driveway and fill a few cracks for a discounted rate - ONLY AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME. Not only did they overcharge by 2 to 3 times what seal coating should have cost, but whatever materials they used on the driveway left a mess and a driveway that has yet to dry properly. Black tar was sprayed all over the foundation of the house, cracks that were addressed were filled with the wrong material and a week and a half later, wet black tar is still pooling all over the driveway. They agreed to come back to address these issues and neglected to show up when they said they would. An hour past the time they were supposed to show up, we tried calling numerous times to only receive a ******** Wireless" message saying to check the number. When we finally did reach this representative via text, his only suggestion; to come back that night and spread black sand all over the driveway. After we insisted they come during business hours we were told they would try to come back in the afternoon. In the meantime, we called local paving companies that have been in business for many years for advice and cost comparisons. We were strongly advised NOT to let them spread black sand all over as this would have led to more of a mess. We were also told that the material they used was all wrong for simply seal-coating a driveway and filling in cracks. When they did come back, we called their attention to all of the above and it was met with belligerent behavior, denials, and outright provocative and threatening language. It became clear that these people troll neighborhoods only to take advantage of the elderly with outrageous price gouging for substandard work.

  A representative for Roadex Paving knocked on our door and told us he was working in our neighborhood and could give us a great quote to repave our driveway. I went out and explained that part of the driveway needed to be torn up first and filled and then repaved. He have us a quote and I said I would think about it and let him know if I wanted him to do the work. A few hours later the same representative knocked on our door and said he would knock down the price even more by $600 and would we now be interested. I said yes, lets do it. He brought over his equipment in our driveway and said they would return in the morning. The next morning the team started tearing up our driveway and cutting/edging the lawn along the driveway. I went out to make sure they were not going to hit the drainage system under the driveway and was met by a new company representative who explained they would not be able to perform the work they proposed yesterday for the same price and jacked the price even higher than the first estimate. I said absolutely not as we made a deal. They refused to keep their estimate and they filled the holes they started to dig and left the property. The worse part was I sent an email to the company through their website explaining how displeased I was and instead of an apologetic and classy response - I received a very nasty response stating that they were not going to work for free and it was absurd that I thought they would pave my driveway for the price given to me by their representative (who he said he was now firing). They are the ones that knocked on my door twice asking us to buy their services and when we said yes finally - this is the treatment we received.
