    The billing/insurance department in this office is HORRIBLE, almost non-existent. Four months ago (November 2021), I was told to leave a deposit of $3,500 for my hearing aids and they would file with my insurance. My insurance carrier denied the claim saying Dr. W**** was "out of network". After many phone calls to Cigna, it was explained to me that Dr. W**** apparently has two Taxpayer IDs filed with Cigna and the claim was filed with the wrong taxpayer ID. Myself and Cigna have tried contacting Dr. W**** office numerous times to explain this. No one in her office has reached out to explain this to myself or tried work it out with Cigna. I finally walked into the office yesterday demanding to speak to a billing person. I was told by Cameron in the office (who is identified on the team as a hearing specialist, not a billing person) that they need to escalate this claim up to the State Insurance Board because they have it on record that both Taxpayer ID #'s would be in-network. So they've known this for 4 months now and haven't escalated it? I don't understand why they're not trying to resolve this. I'm wondering if they need to hire an insurance/billing person, because Cameron isn't doing a good job at it. Meanwhile, I'm paying significant interest on my credit card for the $3,500 deposit, which I later discovered the deposit was not required per their contract they gave me when I picked up the hearing aids (not when I made the deposit at the first appointment). They're refusing to refund me the money.
