    Agree with other reviews that Paymode's business practices feel borderline criminal. Extremely deceptive in how payees have "signed up" for premium services. No changes were communicated to paying companies either. The only indication our payees were experiencing anything different were the complaints that we had short paid their invoices. Payment goes to Paymode. Paymode subtracts 1.5% then deposits to payee. Payees are unaware they "signed up" for anything, and with no communication from Paymode they assume we've short paid them. Calls go unanswered. Emails get automatic replies. Requests to help specific payees take weeks. For a small accounting team, with *****s of payments weekly this is creating a huge burden. Would love to give zero stars

    Any business should be wary of Paymode. Our experience was similar to **************** We had to create a Paymode account to get paid from a customer through **********************. We did not want or need their services. All was fine for years then our customer changed to "Premier" status. ********************** changed us to that status, without our permission, and after awhile started charging us about 1.5% to get our payments. Once again, we didn't sign anything or tell them it was ok "upgrade". Paymode ripped us off for around $192. They did refund around $70 after we finally got through to someone with the authority to refund. If you want to do business with these folks, although I wouldn't, be sure to ask how what you do as a customer affects your vendor. Their methods seem pretty underhanded to me and from the other reviews, it's happened to quite a few folks. One day all is well then the next they're taking money away from you and you'll have a really hard time connecting with someone to fix it.

    Terrible company, borderline criminal. One of our customers used ************************ to provide payments to us, and then when Paymode-X got our ACH information, started debiting our account with a $420 monthly fee all of a sudden. They never received consent from us to take any money from our account, only deposit the money that our customers are paying.

    We use this service to collect payments from one of our service customers. We were charged fees even though we were registerd with a no fee membership. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get this resolved and they refuse to refund the fees. Trying to speak with someone and all I recieve are emails from someone who keeps trying to close my case without addressing my issues. It took over 10 days just to get someone to contact me. I am now trying to cancel as they refuse to respond or address my concerns. Worst customer service. I have never dealt with such poor customer support.

    We are the recipient of payments generated by some of our customers, and the payments seem to work fine, but they continue to send the remit-advice to the wrong person in our company. I have sent five requests just pleading with them to change the email address. All I get is an automated response, but they do nothing more. My requests started in July 2023 and continue through now. Never seen a worse "Support' Department.

    If the business did what it supposed to do it would be perfect, but if you ever run into any issue to where you would have to contact customer service, be prepared to not get any answers, the run around, no call backs. The worst customer service team I have ever dealt with in all my 30 years of business.
