Oh boy, where do I begin. Long time customer here of over 14 years. Now we have completely cut ties after multiple issues this week. We had to switch to heating oil (with Gel Guard, yeah okay) this year because they no longer sold Kerosene. Shouldve been my first red flag. This past weekend was super cold and we had our outside tank and line freeze up. We called at 8:30pm Sunday for an emergency call. Wonderful lady said wed have someone there within 2 hours. 10:30pm rolls around, no call no show. We called them and they apologized up and down, as they never put the call through to tech Tech finally arrived at 7am next morning- but get this, no oil wrench and no supplies. Tech admitted they are overworked and have been unfreezing customers left and right. Tech left and we had to unfreeze the line ourselves. Called back to get ETA, ******* (real piece of work) was snarly and told me they have no idea when h*** be back over, the schedule is packed for the day, and they have been non-stop. We then took it upon ourselves to heat the line and prime the furnace. We were back up and running on our own by noon. We closed our account and made sure the account was zeroed out. We tried to relay the feedback to them, but all ******* could say is she couldnt comment on it, and would simply make sure our account is zeroed. Feedback clearly wasnt going anywhere. They are really messing with people by not giving out the right heating oil, or at least offer Kerosene. 2 neighbors also got froze up by them this week, non-Eastern neighbors were fine. ****** me thatTLDR- dont do business with these guys. They sell you the oil with seemingly no additive, drop the ball on you when you actually need emergency service, and talk down to you over the phone when following up. *****!

Eastern spoke with Mr. ******** and explained we could reset a tank at his property if he took responsibility for the propane. He declined. We did not refuse to service him; he refused the service that was offered.

Very unhappy with Eastern Propane. Was being charged for labor on a warranty repair that ****** said should have been covered by them. Finally got that straightened out, after talking to four different people. ***** the service manager is an a**** that just wanted to argue instead of discuss my reasoning for not being charged for warranty work. *********************** was the only decent one to work with. Office ladies give out false information as they stated there would be no charge for warranty work which was completely opposite of what ***** stated. Told the lady in the office to pick up their tank, which they advised was another fee. Told her then don't pick it up, she stated they have to. Well then don't charge me for picking up your own property. All in all will never use nor will I ever recommend Eastern Propane to anyone.June 6th update : Was advised again that I owe money for warranty work even though ********************* stated it was covered. Guess they decided to charge me now that I cancelled their services completely. Very shady and unethical business practice. Next step is formal BBB complaint. Good luck to anyone who uses Eastern Propane, I strongly suggest you use ****'s Energy as they stand behind what they say unlike ********************* and Eastern Propane. Definitely DO NOT USE EASTERN PROPANE!!!

ZERO stars...This company is the most despicable company I have ever encountered in my 66 years of life. My husband is a 40 year veteran of state law enforcement. Their Hometown Hero program that they so proudly advertise is a joke. They have no regard for anything or anybody. We used Eastern for 4 years and always paid them. We ran into a financial situation and I called and tried to explain to give us more time. I would not need another delivery until September and it was only April so we were not looking for free propane just time for this "hometown hero" to settle up. They are disgusting how they treat people. I am actively looking for another propane supplier and I can't wait to get Eastern tanks off my property and be done with them. To show up and try to lock up tanks is such a disgusting practice when they know they will get paid. When someone is asking for more time and they want to lock up tanks so no cooking is available is pure evil behavior. I truly hope the owners of this company are found in a situation where they need a first responder and are denied because the first responder decides they don't want to help and leaves them on the side of the road bleeding to death. It's the same thing, Such a SHAMEFUL company!!!

Eastern propane clearly doesn't care about their customers' well being. We get 3-4 fill ups a year, almost $1000 each time, for years now... They decided because there was balance of $125 from the previous fill up they disregarded the scheduled delivery, didn't attempt to contact us and let us run out of propane in the middle of winter. I believe they do this because then they can charge me the $150 fee for an "emergency" fill up and a charge for a leak test which involves entering our home. I also found the employees on the phones to be rude and unempathetic in regards to a small balance versus no heat in the winter. They're unprofessional to say the least. They have no customer service etiquette, how embarrassing.

Eastern made several attempts to contact customer regarding their balance from their May 2023 delivery. A noticed was sent out on 11/14/2023 in regard to their delivery being held as well as an automated call on 11/15/2023. Another notice was sent on 11/23 as well as a call on 11/27. Customer also had made a commitment/promise to pay the balance by 11/17, which was not kept. It is by no means our intent for our customers to run out, however when payment terms are 30 days and a balance is 7 months old, collections attempts are made.

From what I have experienced. This is an absolute terrible company. Bought a house recently and had a beat old eastern propane tank out back for our cooking appliances. Found a competitor supplier to supply propane for almost half the price eastern was charging! Eastern then told me I HAVE TO have them come pick up the eastern tank on my property. (The tank belongs to them and it their property) and they then force a 100$ payment on my account they influenced me to make when I called them at the beginning to ask for information. Throughout the process I had multiple eastern employees tell me different cost for the tank pickup and when they finally scheduale it they Jack it up to 100$ Ridiculous

We apologize for any confusion in our communication. **** ******** was not charged a removal fee when the tank was picked removed.

The good: telephone staff extremely nice; good service from delivery drivers; propane regularly topped up - they have telemetric device so can see monitor levels in the underground tank. Prices are reasonable and allow for even better rates thru our local fuel club which is appreciated. The bad: had the furnace serviced this year and part of that was getting radiant heat flushed. I asked how much the antifreeze would be. Staff didn't know. I went online and see that Rhogard 5 gal antifreeze $145. So expected something in that range. Travis came and serviced the boiler - did great job, gone in just 45 min, extremely efficient. Bill arrived and it was $171 for Travis and $230 (!!!!!) for the antifreeze. The ugly: I called to query charge with the staff, and finally (after leaving several call back messages) 3 weeks later got to the manager who said "Sorry, nothing I can do about it". Completely immovable on the grossly inflated antifreeze. Would not tell me their wholesale cost. Seemed busy and rather annoyed by my call. Surely they are getting at a price of probably $115 wholesale and no doubt charging customers double. So... aware of anything beyond propane delivery. If getting a service thru Eastern - beware - do not book without knowing EXACTLY what is being supplied, getting estimate in writing. If replacing any parts, based on my experience, I would imagine they will be charging the earth. So I will use them for propane, but not for future servicing. Sadly, once a bill is generated at Eastern, there appears to be no changing it.

Horrible company. Our story is too long to explain in this forum. However, the bottom line is that they decide what you owe, regardless of actual work/parts etc. There is no point in explaining, that you will pay for the actual parts and labor costs, (which they agreed to, but they can’t add correctly). If you don’t pay the arbitrary amount they deem you owe, they will use every onerous civil process to be awarded the arbitrary amount. Then they will send the sheriff to arrest you, for what amounts to chicken feed. In (56) years I have never been treated so poorly by a company. I won’t try and tell anyone else what to do, but I will NEVER use them again.. One star is too much! *** *

Eastern doesn't stand by their mistakes and avoid taking responsibility. Case in point, I was under their boiler service plan. When it came time to service a part of my boiler, the expansion tank, Eastern pushed it off and didn;'t do the service, even though it was in the plan. My expansion tank was leaking, and while the service man was at the house the yearly service cleaning, he didn't fixed the exansion tank. Three weeks later the expansion tank valve burst and released boiling water all over the basement. The basement was a mess, and Serv-Pro cleaned it up; but it cost me a $1,000 deductible payment. When I called Eastern to complain, they distanced themselves from the situation with tech talk excuses about why they don't service the expansion tank; yet it is in their brochure. I am still not done with this situation. They have not responded to my emails and letters. And at some point I may consider small claims court. I have since left Eastern for another oil supplier and service company. Eastern has demonstrated to be in it for themselves and disregards the customer.

We have had several situations in our Association. There are approx 450 seasonal sites in this former campground. 2 times. Our propane tank got filled. When we went up to our place the tank was empty. They said they would look at film because every truck has a camera. They never would tell us what the issue was but did refund the order that we did not get. This month we got a full tank in February. Nobody went up to our place In Feb, March or April. We were busy planning a wedding. My daughter arrived there after the wedding for a mini honeymoon. The tank was turned off over the winter. We asked how propane was used with the tank off and nobody there. No answer. They did come out to check for leaks. No leaks. I was told that we should look for another provider because they have full trust in their staff and “we are now considered a liability to their company” I was pretty shocked with this answer since we have been a customer for over 20 years but hey if they don’t want our business that’s fine. I just have some concern that a company dealing with potentially harmful, combustible propane that they have no desire or obligation to try and find the answer. Meanwhile my next door neighbor who lived up at her summer place the entire Summer has only used 10 gallons of propane in a year and we are using 100 gals in a month. She has the same sq. Footage and same mini split heating system we have. Same amt of people. I thought maybe since our tanks are next to each other it could have been a mistake. As soon as we mentioned this possibility they shut us down and said “save it! We’ll be out in the next 30 days to take our tank back.
