    I booked a room with two beds and a pullout couch for a weekend night in early December, 2022. I checked in with my three grandchildren. My grandson opened up the pullout couch and found used women's underwear, condoms, and wrappers. We reported it to the desk and the man placed us in a different room. However, the room only had two beds. My 13 year old grandson had to sleep on a chair for the night. He is tall and was extremely uncomfortable. We asked to see the manager in the morning and he was not there. I tried to call him several times over the next two weeks during times when I was told he would be there. I also left messages. He was never on site (or maybe he was refusing to take my calls) and never called me back. I then called the corporate office to file a report. I was eventually given a ticket # and was told they would contact the manager and have him call me. I waited two weeks and of course, he never called me back. I called corporate office again and they offered me a $30. credit via email, to be used at another stay at a Best Western. This is less than 25% of the original cost of the room that I originally paid for. I ended up in a less expensive room. The credit still has not arrived although I can't imagine feeling comfortable staying at a Best Western ever again. They also told me they could not do anything about the lack of response by the manager. Where is the accountability! I am frustrated and more angry with the lack of response from the manager than the original situation. I would warn anyone planning to stay here in the future to find another hotel!!!
