My friend *** and I stayed at Ocean Casino in AC on 7/15/24. They sent me a promotion for a complimentary room and Bingo event. We attended the Bingo event 7/16/24 at 11am, which was the first time for us both. *** was my guest for the event. She won the final bingo game which was cover all for cash prize of $5,000. We both yelled bingo. Our table was waving and so were surrounding tables. It is a large event room and we were in one of the back tables. The MC Maria did not acknowledge us but one of the assistants working the floor responded and approached us. Maria called the next number and negated ***s win. We immediately reported to her. She was defensive and unprofessional. There was a woman who was sitting in the table right in front of Maria who said I heard them yelling “Bingo!”, I am not sure why you did not. Maria said maybe it is the loud bingo balls in front of me, it is hard for me to hear. She even said she did not hear the next person yell bingo, but the people around her were waving their hands. That person won the prize since Maria did not acknowledge ***. Maria made a mistake. Ocean needs to do what is right and fair and pay her. We spoke with the supervisors Erica and Angie and they said since they did not see it, the cannot change the decision. I believe there are cameras and they need to review. They offered *** $300 in free play. Not an acceptable offer to replace a $5000 cash win.
