Zero stars! Upon checking in on the 47th floor, the hallway and room smelled like mildew and water. We went all the way back downstairs and complained to ****. He switched us to the 37th floor. This wasnt much better- the room was next to the elevators which was very noisy. From loud screams to running to loud elevator noise, it was impossible to sleep. Initially, we had adjourned rooms which were requested during reservation, but **** did not provide this when he moved us to the 37th floor. Totally dissatisfying! The pillows were hard and sheets had hair all over them. No one answered the front desk and no room service. Pool water was cold and rude elderly male did not answer my questions about temp or hours. I did not feel valued as a customer at all. The elevators were always overstuffed with people and floors were dirty. Not worth my money at all! Hooters waitresses were a joke especially ******** very rude and abrupt she did not honor our veteran discount either.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY!!! NUMEROUS ISSUES * The room I was given was in the ************* which took about 20 minutes to get to from the Casino and parking. I had to take 2 elevators and escalators to get there. Very inconvenient. * My room's floor smelled of smoke even though I reserved a non-smoking room. The whole floor had no air conditioning. It was very hot and smelly.* No water pressure in the shower * Water was **** warm * Tub didn't drain. Had to take a shower with the water above my ankles. * The room didn't have any bath towels. I called down to the housekeeping about 3:00am requesting towels and was told it would be an hour to get them. When I asked if she was serious and needed to wait an hour to take a shower, I was told yes you do, she was very rude. I ended up using the hand towel to dry off with. I saw the bath towels outside my room on the dirty carpet when checking out. * There were no attendants to check out with. had to use the Kiosk which was not working correctly. I had to call the front desk on the other side of the building to checkout. * There is only 1 elevator to get to the parking garage so during checkout there was about 100 people waiting. I had to walk up a steep ramp to get my car. *****************************DO NOT STAY HERE, NOT WORTH IT****************************

I'm still shaking from my interaction with ****** at the front desk. Absolutely beside myself they could be so cruel to anyone let alone a paralyzed woman in a wheelchair. When I spoke to the staff yesterday I was told I had 3 complementary stays available and I asked if I could use one night because my handicap van broke down in AC yesterday when I took my son school clothes shopping. I was told I could book one night and use the other two nights ANYTIME in the month of August. This call was recorded. My van is being worked on but will not be ready until this evening. I called the reservation line and asked if I could use another comp night and I was told no. I asked them to honor what I was told yesterday and to pull the call. *** had me on hold for 51 minutes and returned to say they will review it but in the meantime I had to leave or pay 200 for another night. I went onto priceline and booked it for $60 *** said I still have to leave because someone else is waiting on the room. I would have to check out and check into a different one. I confirmed this was not true no one was waiting on this room. I asked to be connected to the front desk and I told ****** I am literally stuck in bed until my nurse returns. I paid for another room here could they please let me use the same room and wait until my nurse gets back so I can come down and she said Absolutely not. I said please I would have to crawl to my chair and struggle to get in it and she said oh well that's not her problem if I'm not out in ten minutes I will be removed by security. I begged her to please give me on hour for my nurse to return I had already paid for a second night even though the staff made mistakes and lied. ****** had Absolutely no empathy. I asked is there any handicap rooms available? She made it seem like there wasn't and she said I would have to come down to find out. I said you can't see if any are available over the phone? Isn't this reservations? She refused to let me speak to anyone.

When I arrived in the lobby, probably around 8:45pm, I got on line at the front desk. There were probably 12 people in front of me and only two people checking them in....slowly. It took me approximately 50 minutes to get to the front of the line, but when one of the ladies had their guest walk away, the representative turned around and walked into the back room. She never returned! The other lady did the same exact thing, which left nobody at the front desk. There was literally nobody at the front desk for five minutes, while all the guests stood helpless and ignored. At that point there were at least 25 people behind me, all getting upset. When the second lady came back out from the back office, she waved me up. As I approached her, another woman wearing a "manager" name tag walked out as well (I forgot her name). While I was clearly upset, I very certain and intentionally not disrespectful or rude. I said to her, "Where did you go? Why would you just walked away and leave nobody here while we all waited." The manager said to me, in a extremely dismissive tone, "She was only gone for five minutes. She had to take care of something personal." I have absolutely NEVER been treated so poorly. As a service professional, I do not ever treat someone so dismissivelyand as the head of an organization I would not stand for someone treating someone this way. Tropicana is a hospitality business and there was absolutely NOTHING welcoming or hospitable at the front desk or by management.

If I could give it zero stars I would. First, when arrived they stated my reservation was canceled. They texted me asking how was my check-in. But did not tell me my reservation was canceled. Second when the rude check-in lady "found" us a room, (she said they were all booked. In April sure) she put us next to the service elevator. The room was disgusting with dirty towels on the bathroom floor, garbage cans overflowing with trash, the bed looked like someone was just lying in it, room needed vaccuming and there was urine on the toilet. Calling the front desk is a nightmare and not very practical. Spoke with someone finally after 5 minutes on hold, who stated housekeeping would come up to clean the room and we would be given a $50 meal credit. Housekeeping arrived 45 minutes later stating her shift was over and we were going to have to ask for another room. The second call to the front desk, this time it took 10 minutes. At this point, I just wanted my money back. We go back down to check-in and ask for a refund. The guy was really nice. He "found" another room and was to be an "upgrade" but was the same room that I booked, it was better than the first. All this happened at approximately midnight after a 3-hour drive. We ended up staying anyway due to a much-needed getaway. We were unable to use our meal credit because (can't make this mess up) it was not transferred to the new room. I decided s**** it. All they said to us was "Sorry for the inconvenience" what kind of S*$T is that.

Just checked out @TropicanaAC booked via @Expedia months ago. Was excited to see my fave @ericbenet12 until my bf got stuck on the elevator for over 15 min. Threw the whole night off including being late to dinner @******* and the @Ticketmaster concert. Continued in comments. Bf had to pry open the door and bang/tell for help as the other people on the elevator were having panic attacks. Then he had to climb 6 flights of steps to get back to the room. Maintenance man took a pic of his ID to write a report but MGMT did not follow up. Room was moldy. Shower water **** warm at best. Asked management several times to resolve this matter and was offered a $30 food voucher and $100 credit. How insulting. First and last time at @TropicanaAC . Review: Don't do it.

Worst place to stay.I stayed in the Havana Tower, which was supposed to be updated. Well not here.Very dirty rooms.Cleaning staff was very rude.Food is terrible and cold. The elevator had a previous fire. You could still see the dark sout and water stains. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone. Oh one more thing. There are homeless people walking all around begging for money.I felt unsafe.Never ever stay here.
