The business, EMG Auto, now listed under Car Revolution to avoid appropriate bad reviews and pushback, has committed advertising fraud. I was in the market for a 2017 ***** Accord, and they had one. I live in *************, so NJ is not close. Multiple communications made with the office on the price of the car. As an engineer, I thoroughly do my research and make sure I know what I'm getting into. I live 300 miles away, so I requested we confirm pricing before I head into the office. I was told 1 time via phone call and two times via text message the price would work...but that I needed to come in to finalize everything. So, since it was confirmed, I went to make the drive.A note: The listed price online for the 2017 Accord Coupe was $22,900.I test drove the vehicle, and mentioned I am glad to purchase at the price we agreed upon. Once they came back from financial management, I was told the price of the car is $30,000 and they can go no lower than $25,600. They could not even match the price listed on their advertising and website. I drove 600 total miles, with knowledge that the price would be as advertised. I got on site, and was told that is not the price. I was then told to my face when I asked "This is our tactic to get people in the door." Bad business practice as well as advertising fraud.

Im replying back in regards to our conversation on complain ID number ********. As I told you in our conversation, this individual never purchase a vehicle from us. He was actually offering less than my advertise price. And he has the vehicle was advertised for $22,981 after taxes motor vehicle it went up to roughly ****** with additional option of extended warranty. Total sale would end up being ****** and change like hes to be decline warranty and products, but no sale was made like I said before he wanted to pay less and advertise price but never purchased a vehicle from us

I am rejecting this response because:

This is absolutely a false claim. When I arrived onsite, based on the online advertised price of $22,981, after driving 600 miles with a confirmation over text that the sale price would be $22,981I was told this was not the case. No warranty involved, no additional fees, and if there were it should never tally that high.

If we are talking sales tax added on, in ** that is *****%, based on the advertised price that comes to $24,523. Very shy of $25,000.

There was also ZERO mention of extended warranty, but rather that the price of the car was that much.

A buyer is able to offer on a car to negotiate at a lower price. The fact is there was no negotiation, rather an advertised price of $23,000 - confirmation via phone that it was the final price - and a comment by the dealership sales rep saying that is their tactic to get people into the door. Advertising fraud, go look at their reviews and others agree.

In no logical case would a car jump from $23,000 to $30,000the numbers in that response are illogical and have no backing or proof.

I went to dealership on 7-8-23 to purchase a 2021 f150. I drove the truck and licked it. I then sat down to do the deal. There was a couple things that I didnt like but I proceeded with deal. My wife was outside and got sick and wanted to leave. I told dealer I was interested and would leave deposit but I would have to come back. They proceeded to pressure me into buying vehicle and had me sign all these papers about warranty, delivery ,etc. And provided them with a$1000 deposit. No contract was ever shown to me or never signed. I left there they provided me no paperwork on anything. I was in contact with them on **** about when I would be down I also asked for the paperwork I signed and the contract I never saw. They emailed it to me on ****. On **** I emailed him telling him deal was off unfortunately it was too much for me to afford at this time. I waited till **** to ask for my $1000 deposit back. Manager emails back deal was done no deposit. *** made several calls to dealer spoke to several people everyone puts me on hold or disregards my calls. I would like my deposit back. ************** submitted a claim with his credit card company. The company charged our Dealership back the $1000.00 and credited back ************** credit card on 8/4/23.  We cannot credit a customer's credit card without the same card used and customer being present.

      Thank you!

Around 8/22/23 myself and my friend went to the business to look at a 2020 ***** Civic SI they had posted on multiple websites for $20,000. Thought it was a fair price considering the cars MSRP is $26,500. However once it came time to do business they charged me $39,982.00 instead, and did not explain that they were charging me said amount.

      Resolved
On June 26th, 2022, I visited Car Revolution (aka EMG Auto Sales) about a 2018 ************************** Upon arrival I met with the Salesperson. I test drove the vehicle and really was interested in purchasing which was listed around $28900. Upon getting ready to run credit the vehicle went up to $32,200. This was adding charges of delivery fee and maintenance fee. I was discouraged at this moment, but they said those additional charges and were allowed per sales advertisement that additional fees may be added. Being inexperienced in buying cars, I bought into this concept. Before going through with purchase which included trade-in, I went over the car one last time I saw a couple dents and dings which I thought could help drive. I was continuously told that this is a used car, and it would not be perfect. I understood that but continued to be mentioned that **** looked as if they had dropped paint on it and that eventually that would bubble and rust. They continued it was cosmetics and there was nothing they could do about that. I mentioned that brakes and rotors looked a bit ***** and again to them that were all cosmetics. The 26th was a rainy day so they provided me with I owe you for washing/detailing vehicle and full gas tank. The very next day the cosmetic issues continued to bother me. So I went back to Avenel, I got my trade-in back, kept the new vehicle but mentioned that the cosmetics were too bad and would like someone to look at them. They told me cosmetics are cosmetics and just ignored it. I even sent them text about these issues, even asked for a copy of ****** and I was told that I was not going to receive a call from manager exact words Your not going to. Weve moved on with new business. I said that was pretty harsh and the response was Yea bro its been tough deal. So, my deal was tough because I asked for my trade-in back and paying cash for difference. Please see attachment for entirety.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  However, I do have one question left in reference to the brakes which had to be replaced during visit at *********** location.  Will there be some type of reimbursement for this cost as this was part of the initial letter?

In January of 2021 I purchased a Modified 2017 ****** Wrx. I put $16,000 down and financed the rest. I was sold a warranty on vehicle. 4 months after the engine had rod knock and needed to be replaced. I was told since t he car was modified the warranty would not cover it or anything. They were no help at the dealership as they were the ones who sold me a modified car and a warranty. They did nothing for me. Needless to say $20,000 dollars later in engines, the car is running again. They knew the car was modified when they sold it as the exhaust itself was extremely loud.
