I signed up for swim classes for me and my granddaughter on Feb. 27, 2023. They put my granddaughter and me in the same class. My granddaughter is 11 years old. Our classes began March 2. I was excited. The first class I was nervous. The classes are half hour. During this half hour the instructor have other students. This was not told to me. I thought I would get one on one instruction. We started out learning how to float, then told to do what they call the shark. The second class was the same and then instructed to do what is called to roll over. I felt rushed and increasingly nervous. One of the instructors named ***** said that it would be better if my granddaughter went to the turtle class. So we changed our time and day. By this time my granddaughter no longer wanted to take lessons. I went to my third class which was instructed by ****. I was not comfortable with her. I did not feel safe. She had me and three other students assigned to her. There are no others in the pool area other then the instructor. Also there was a mother and her two children swimming in the pool that day. I do not feel this is safe and don't feel that I got my money's worth. After that class I became anxious and more nervous about swimming then I ever was. I don't think that I'll ever try again. I cancelled from the school March 25th. The instructor also cancelled the 4th class that same day. I am told that I still have to pay for ****** I explained my reasons for cancelling. I am still expected to pay for ***** even though I did not and will not finish up March. This is a disservice to me and others who have paid money and not received exemplary service. I paid a total of $349.60, breakdown $149.60, for me and $149.60 for my granddaughter, a registration fee of $50. After we switched classes from Thursday nights to Sunday during the day I was charged an additional prorated fee of $25 for me and $25 for my granddaughter, total $50. I am sadden and extremely disappointed.
