Before arriving the **** Miller VW in Bernardsville dealership, over the phone ******************* agreed to buy my vehicle off its lease for $30,000 and that the buyout price was $32,117 and I would be responsible for $2,117 to make up the difference. At 4:35PM on Friday Jan 13, 2023 while sitting in his office finalizing the sale, ************ then stated an additional $500 disposition fee was to be paid. I explained to him that it was my understanding that the disposition fee did not apply since the dealership was buying the vehicle (instead of a lease return). At this point ************ told me that I was incorrect that the disposition fee was being charged however his manager agreed to cover $400 of it, and that I just need to pay an extra $100. Feeling pressured and believing ************ was being truthful and that the deal would not be completed without my agreeing to pay this extra $100, I reluctantly agreed to give the dealership an additional $100 to cover the disposition fee. Final paperwork from VW Credit arrived on 1/17/2023 confirming the dealership was never charged for, nor did a disposition fee apply at all. I feel completely mislead and taken advantage of, especially since I questioned the validity of this charge and was reassured, it was correct. This was completely dishonest and I want the $100 overcharge returned to me immediately. Upon speaking with the general manager, ***********************************- on Jan 20. On a recorded telephone line he acknowledged the overcharge and promised to send me a check for $100 refund, today marks three weeks and it has never arrived. I called three times this week to try to find out what the status was and he will not answer the telephone or call me back..

We attempted to refund the $100.00 to Mr. *************************** however he disputed the payment on his credit card.

According to our processing company, the case was settled as we didnt dispute the credit.

I hope this will settle the case.
