Bought 2 things months apart. A sofa was delivered with a small unsewn section on the arm. The controller on a power lift recliner broke within 6 months of delivery. Technician took 5 weeks to come and replace it. Same issue re-occurred 3 months afterwards. Both recliner problems were within the first year of delivery. Michaels refuses to help

Customer purchased a power recliner and there was an issue with the remote. The factory replaced the remote the first time for no charge and did not charge her any labor cost to install. Normally the part would be covered but labor is at a fee. We reminded her to make sure the recliner was plugged into a surge protector so this would not happen again in the future. Many months later she contacted us with the same problem, and we were happy to help her for a service charge and she refused to pay. The merchandise she purchased was seen somewhere else and she was happy to purchase it from us because our price was lower. We appreciate the business but there is a charge for service. Once for free and a second time at a fee.

The worst furniture experience ever! They will verbally tell you anything to close the sale but once you sign their contract you are done. Their contract totally covers them from ****% of potential problems. READ IT CAREFULLY-BOTH SIDES. iIt will a bit of time but it will be worth it!! They care very little about the customer; just making the sale. Buyer beware! After reading that contract, walk (maybe even run) out the door and make your purchase elsewhere. Save yourself the grief. Everything they sell you can purchase elsewhere and maybe even save some money. For sure you will save yourself a ton of aggravation. BUYER BEWARE. I used to believe in the integrity of small, local businesses but after dealing with the owner, *******, and the salesman, ***, I will be weary of these kinds of businesses.

Not sure what the bases of the complaint is, other then you are not happy with our store. The order was written on August 22, 2023 and signed agreed to pick up the merchandise. At that time, there was no delivery charge on the contract. We do not deliver 188 miles round trip from the location you purchased at for no charge. We gave the customer the price to delivery the merchandise and she authorized and agreed. Michael's Furniture did the white glove delivery as promised which was set up and delivered. Customer received delivery on 12/13/2023 and signed for merchandise. All documents can be supplied on request.

Ordered a love seat. $800 plus dollars with delivery. Was told 2 weeks. It's now been over a month. The multiple times I called I got nothing but attitude from the rude and completely unprofessional daughter. 3 different encounters; one in person and 2 on the phone and this girl is all attitude all the time. The last altercation involved an exchange of words to which she ACTUALLY CALLED ME BACK ON HER ************ # and not only told me to come in the store (as a threat) she called me a p**** and a f***** First, I'm 51 and not arguing or fighting a know it all snotty rude women maybe in her late 20s or early 30s, I have no idea. Second I haven't heard the term f***** since I was in 8th grade. It is INSANE to me that the owner would condone this behavior professionally or otherwise. I will NEVER, and I mean EVER go there again. I'll go to ***'s in Freehold or literally anywhere else. I'll be taking the matter to small claims court and I will win. Still no love seat. Absolutely appalling.

Customer purchased a special order loveseat on 8/14/2023 which cost $630.99, not $800. The customer signed both the contract and credit card receipt which clearly states, "All sales final. No refunds, No exchanges." Nothing on on the contract states a two week delivery. ******* called on 9/11/2023 for status and was told the date. The customer did not like the date that was given, so he asked to cancel, which customer service stated is not an option. He was told he could come in to reselect to something he could take that week. He started yelling and cursing, calling our customer service girl a " F****** B****, because he was told he could not cancel. He also said our store looks like a toilet. ******* failed to mention that in his above statement. There was no phone call made on a personal number because someone this arrogant and rude, we would never want them to have personal information. Also, if you take a look at ********* ****** profile account, it seems to be a trend to bash businesses using false accusations and foul language. When the merchandise arrives, Michael's Furniture will contact the customer. Also, the customer has not been in the store since the day of the purchase on 8/14/2023.

I ordered a desk in June 2022. The next day I received a call that the desk is not currently available and it will likely be a few weeks. I agreed to wait. After a month I called to find out the status of the desk. Again I was informed that it was not available and that the container ship was due in the following month.I agreed to wait again. A month later when I still have not received the desk I once again called to find out the status. I was now informed that it may be available in October but they were not 100% sure. At this point having waited nearly 4 months I asked for a refund. I was told first that I would only get store credit! Then I called back and was informed that I needed to come in to the store. I told the sales person that I live more than an hour away and that if they were able to charge my credit card without my being in the store, they could certainly credit me back without needing to be in the store. After sending an email and not receiving a response, I once again called and was now told again that I could only get a store credit. This is completely egregious and unprofessional. I realize that *******'s is not in control of the supply chain and this is likely not their fault. But it certainly is not my fault and this is a really horrible way to treat a customer. I am currently disputing this with my credit card company. I would never recommend shopping at Michael's furniture.
