On 12/2022 I paid Jersey Dental of Burlington $500 to start the process of getting braces for my son. I signed an 18 month agreement and instead of making monthly payments, I paid the rest of what was due in full in the amount of $2667 on 1/2023. The doctor decided to retire suddenly and my son's last appointment was 8/25/23. They couldn't find another doctor to take over and so I was forced to find another orthodontist. From 11/2023 until 6/2024 I called the office often to try to get a refund for the amount of $1481.64 for services not rendered. There was no direct number for billing so I had to go through the lady at the dental office. She would relay my messages, but when I called back there was never a resolution. Finally after months they only wanted to give me a portion of what was owned and I disagreed. I emailed the agreement and explained in detail why $1481.64 was owned back to me. They never paid and in June 2024 when I called again I was told the business was sold. I tried to submit disputes through *** and the **** **** I used but was denied because of the time that had passed. If I had done monthly payments I would have paid a total of $1685.36 for services received, not $3167. He only received 8 months of treatment out of the 18 months that the contract stated. I gave them nearly 3 months to find another doctor and spent an additional 7 months going back and forth with no resolution. I am seeking a refund of $1481.64.

It started when the Jersey Dental Group of Burlington performed a service I did not authorize and they tried to charge me more than the price defined in the agreed upon dental plan. In addition, the dentist and dental assistant were arguing with each other while performing surgery on my mouth. I left without owing and additional money. They scheduled another appointment but before I can back for the appointment and called them to tell them I will no longer use them for dental services. I called a new dentist office and they contacted Jersey Dental Group to get dental history. During the call, an employee of the Jersey Dental Group named ****, who I believe is the Manager, told the person from the new office that I refused to pay on a bill that didnt even exist and owed money that I did not. The person called me back and told me about the incident. I will also filing a complaint with HIPAA for a Willful Negligence.

Had an appointment on April 5th. Everything went smoothly. I gave them my insurance information as well as ID. a couple weeks later I got a **** from them. I called my insurance to see how much they would cover and they said Jersey dental has to submit a claim and they have yet to do so. I called jersey dental on numerous occasions. Every time I called, the front desk said I will have the billing department call you back Ive called at least 5 times and left a voicemail trying to get a hold of the billing department but still no call back. I got a letter saying final notice and the charges will go to a collection agency. I shouldnt have to pay $339 for what I know my insurance will cover but jersey dental refuses to do one simple thing and submit a claim to my insurance.
