on Jan 2, 2025 while my furnace was receiving maintenace the service team suggested to me & sold me a duct cleaning package. They gave me a qoute, called the office to make sure they could provide the service since i hace soft flex ducts & I paid the $300 deposit, and was informed that the Allied Office would call to schedule a time. The Allied Office then decided they could not do the work, however never contacted me to tell me or give a refund. I called on Fed 11 to see about what the plan was & the appointment. The rep told me he needed to look into it. The rep called me a few days later & informed me the they would not be doing the work because I have soft flex ducts. I asked for a refund & was told he would send it to the appropiate dept. Mar 3rd I called & got no answer. I tried the online messaging & was told they couldn't help & was told to call the line that no one was answering. I explained that no one is answering, so they sent a call back request. Never received the call back. Finally after a half of a day calling a got the same rep from my precious calls. Told them I still did not have the refund. I was told that it is being escalated. I told him i needed a call back that day, and the refund or I would proceed with filing a report and a dispute with my credit card and I was told that that wouldn't happen, I truly believe they do not intend to pay back the money since it should have been returned in January when they decided not to do the work and not to contact me. It took 1 minute to take the money, it would take 1 minute to reverse the charge. I want and need a full refund of the deposit.Business Response

This issue has been resolved and the credit was approved and will be added to the customers credit card with 3-5 business days. The reason for the delay, is we now have to get all refunds approved by corporate which is off-site and the process does take longer.
03/11/2025 $-300.00 $0.00 Refund - Credit Card/*** ***** Fully Applied Pending None Refund - deposit-service was never done

At the time we signed a contract for energy improvements including attic insulation and garage insulation at an out of pocket cost of $6,000 ($2,000 of which the electric company paid). the homeowners were provided a blank ST-8 Capital Importance Form and we were told that it would be signed by the contractor and presented to the homeowner at the completion of the work, so we could use that to write off for our taxes of having it Energy improvement to our home. When the work was completed, Allied failed to provide the signed ST8 form. They have been non responsive to our requests in writing and calls made. I would like the Better Business Bureau to intervene since the company has failed to comply and lied to us and now will not provide the signed ST-8 form to for tax purposes.Business Response

I have tried to contact this customer on numerous occassions to explain to him that the form he is looking to use only pertains to tax exempt entities. When we did the job for him, he did not file any tax exempt forms with use, therefore he would not be tax exempt. He may be thinking that he needs this form to get his end of the year tax credit, but he does not and his account can explain that to him. If indeed he is tax exempt for some reason then he needs to respond to my calls so I can get him the form.
Truly,

On June 06, 2022 I had a new **** system and Water Heater installed under the ** Clean Energy Program in association with my gas and electric provider PSE&G, by Allied Experts A.K.A. Allied Construction *********************************************************************** was advised by the sales and installation team that the installation would be inspected by the ***************** municipal inspectors once the work was completed. Months went by and I hadn't been contacted for the inspection, several calls to Allied Experts resulted in no returned calls. I went to the township office and was advised that ******* of Allied filed for a permit on July 01, 2022 for the **** system and they were awaiting the $156.00 fee. **** also of Allied had file on July 20, 2022 for the Water Heater and were awaiting the $69.00 permit fee. I have learned that ******* no longer works for Allied Experts and numerous calls to **** or her manager or the company owner has yielded zero returned calls. So, it is almost nine months since the installation and the permit fees have not been paid and the installation job hasn't been inspected. I've had to be more than understanding since the supply chain and employee shortages caused by the pandemic, but this is totally unacceptable. I feel that Allied Experts should be removed from the approved list of companies that participate in the ** Clean Energy program.Business Response

This company, hired to install hvac system and insulate house, agreed to submit all of the paperwork needed to secure, and have issued, a permit. We were advised this would take **** weeks. Our job was completed in May of 2022. First phone call to follow up on this was in November. We were told a message would be sent to the person that handles permits (****) and we would receive a call back. Mid December, after not hearing back we texted the sales rep who said he would get us a response. No one got back to us. I called the office again in late December and demanded **** get back to me. She replied via email, advising a check still needed to be cut and issued for the permit. I replied asking how long that would take, and received no reply. The following day I called and was able to speak directly to her, at which point she advised she would have no idea how long the check was going to take to be issued. I emailed again today asking for an update, since this was supposed to be handled in **** weeks and we are closing in on 8 months. I want the installation inspected by the township and the permit issued. This cannot be done until Allied does their part.Business Response

Allied Experts installed two heating units and a hot water heater approx. 14 months ago. The final inspection of the equipment has not been done by our township because Allied has not paid the $429 to the township for the permits, which was included in our price we paid already. We need the permits paid for so that the township will come out to inspect. It has been ******************************************************************************************************************** not. We filed a previous complaint with BBB, and the response from Allied Experts in writing was that a check was mailed out and should be paid in two weeks. That was 11/17- I called the township yesterday, 12/16/22 and the township indicated the permits have not been paid yet, and there are many more outstanding permits not paid by Allied Experts for several other township residents. The previous ticket through BBB was closed before I had the chance to check if the permits were paid, that is the reason for this new ticket. We simply want them to pay the permit off so we can get inspected.Business Response

The township has had our check for the payment of the permit for several weeks. At this time they are refusing to give the homeowner their permit number so they can have their inspection.
