Most unprofessional company I ever dealt with!!!!! The movers show up july 28 at 7 pm and demand another 600 to take any furniture I only had a few mattresses and small table I already paid ******************************************************************************************** 20 min they assured me Id have my things in a week or 2. A month later I finally get a call they are coming and they deliver my things and I know for sure a few boxes are missing !!!! We hired them to pick-up our belongings on 9/15/22. I now see their *********** licenses were revoked prior on 1/24/22. The company was extremely unprofessional & dishonest. They stated over the phone that they would pick-up our belongings on 9/15/22 & the driver would immediately transport them to our new residence in *******. Instead, they put our belongings in a storage unit for a month. After calling the company over & over asking where our items were located they continued to tell us they didn't have to deliver it to us immediately & that we needed to just wait. The majority of the time they did not answer their phone. It wasn't until 10/14/22 that we were notified that the movers were in town & would deliver the next day. They demanded a certain payment type & if we did not comply they stated they would not give us our belongings. Once we received our belongings we noticed things were broken & missing. Over $1200 worth of damages. They are now only willing to give us $99 for our missing items. We are missing a $600 electric scooter, a $600 king sized mattress, and a push broom. Our t.v's were scratched, and our table and our mirrors were broken. We paid $10,346 for these services! The **************** they gave us was definitely not worth it.Initial Complaint

I contracted with an ********************* company in ********* ******* a few weeks ago. I lost both parents recently and had about 7 pieces of furniture and boxes of ***** and pictures. (3) but only 2 boxes arrived and one table is missing too. To say that this has been one of the worst few days of my life, is being kind. Unbeknown to me, Allied Transportation had Movers and Packers arrive at my parents home to carry the furniture from ************ to my home in ************ *******. I had no idea that it would be another company ,(never stated, and the price that I was quoted was almost doubled by the worker. Since I flew up to allow the haulers in the condo, I reluctantly agreed to the increase in price due to my travel and work restrictions. They already had ****** and demanded 500 more for the job. I repeat, I paid them the additional expense and told them that my home restricted delivery to any day BUT Sunday, and delivery would be from 7am-7 pm. Pickup was on March 31st. I asked them to let me know before they arrived and repeated the importance that they remember no SUNDAY deliveries allowedin my gated community. I called the main office last week and asked when delivery might occur. A woman stated that they could offer ample time by email or call for the delivery. Well, on Saturday, April 8th at approximately 3:30 pm I received a call from a man telling me that the delivery would be in 5 hours! Mind you, No banks are open to pull out **** and it is way beyond the allowable time to enter my gated community. The man threatened me with a 650 surcharge and told me that he and his other driver would receive 300 more. They insisted again on coming Sunday (Easter) I phoned the main office of Movers and Packers and the woman used the * word with me over and over and threatened that I would not receive my merchandise unless I pay them ****. So now i have paid 500 more than the initial estimate from Allied who hired these awful people ( me NOT knowing this) *inally they agreed to come on Monday morning but again threatened me with the additional money to get my furniture that has been in the family for over 75 years. I hired Allied to move me from ******* to ******** on October 3rd 2022. They in turn consigned my move to Movers and Packers relocation specialist in **********. They arrived October 10th to move my belongings to VA and deliver on the 14th of October he arrived the 12th said he was in my area and wanted to deliver I explained I was on my way home and was in Georgia at the time and would not be here until it was time to deliver on the 17th. The driver was very rude very unprepared and very unprofessional. He became angry said he would have to put my furniture in storage. He finally delivered my furniture on the 17th at that time he charged me $3,799 which should have been $1,325.57. He arrived in a 28-foot truck by himself to unload a house full of furniture. My contractors stopped what they were doing on my new home and helped him unload. Everything that was taken off of that truck was damaged scratched marred cracked broken and dirty there was also a number of large items that were never delivered do not know where they ended up. I did file a claim in which they offered me $280 which would not even buy one item that was not delivered much less account for the damage to other items. I found out this company license has been revoked and that they are not Better Business Bureau accredited. According to ****** they lost their license on September the ******* and they moved me on the 10th of October. Everything I owned had been gone through stuff was missing which I assume was stolen and I have basically had to start over again. I am 78 years old recently widowed and do not need to be going through this kind of trauma again. This man scared me intimidated me and I truly feel like I have been violated. I not only feel like this company needs to be responsible for my move but also Allied *** Lines the company that I originally booked my move with. This does not even touch the surface on what has happened with this move. This has definitely been a nightmare.Initial Complaint

We hired this company to move our belongings from ****** to ***** a few months ago. Today (1/11/23) they are delivering. They showed up over an hour late, noticeably stoned to the point of dysfunction and wearing weed paraphernalia, and tried to coerce me into signing a contract agreeing that everything on the inventory was present, counted, and undamaged before even opening the truck, claiming it was just signing that we had paid. We know the movers in ****** stole a few of our things, since we witnessed it, but are a household of women and didnt feel safe confronting a bunch of foreign men who were overtly sexist and intimidating (not to mention one carried the stench of a homeless person which took days to wash out of our house). I cannot sign a contract affirming the full inventory was delivered because 1) I know things are missing, and 2) I haven't been allowed to check. I called the office to discuss this issue and was called a liar and hung up on. They also demanded payment before delivery, which I also don't think is legal. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a company, and according to DOT records their license was revoked a year ago, but they're still operating.Initial Complaint

Received delivery from moving company on 12/11/22. Movers broke property while removing from truck, dropped and shattered box of glassware in driveway..refused to clean up. Careless handling furniture..boxes damp and warped. Many items missing..refused to unwrap. Left packing blankets on furniture. Literally just piled boxes and furniture all in one room. Would not move to designated location. Refused to complete job paid for, refused to return to truck to check for missing items. 10/10/2022. This is a very crooked company in association with Metro *** Lines out of ********* **. Online getting a quote from a **********, phone rings and Metro says they are their long hauler. First lie. They are pirating the online requests. Gives you a quote, del date. Show up a day late, says they're Movers and Packers out of **, doing the job for Metro. Says they got screwed, bid way too low, upped price 10 grand, sign a contract. After contract signed, they say company says you have stairs, need ****, or we'll do it for 800 cash. Paid 800 cash. Had paid 6 grand to Metro already. Write check out for 10 grand to get my stuff loaded, pay the other 10 grand when they get to **. When do you want it. Saturday. You could really help us if we can del on Fri. We hit the road, they call can't cash the ck because it takes 5 days to clear and we'll be there before then, wire now. Can't wire, I'm on the road. We're going to be a day early. If you can't be here by then, we'll put your stuff in storage and I have to pay 4 more grand. Get there day early, wire the funds, they say it's not cleared, but bank says it . They dump half my load and say they'll be back in morning. Don't show, ************** ****** made they bring truck. We unloaded. Half my belongings never made it. Owner would never talk to us. ******* did, said she would take care it and call back. She is a liar, they all are. They stole a dozen boxes of belongings at least. Metro *** Lines won't do anything. This is happening to all kinds of people. I have learned it's called "The East Coast Scam." I will also file complaint on Metro. We have copy of contract from Metro, but they somehow delete so we don't have it. Movers and Packers at house said all copies of contracts I signed are emailed. They're not there either. Week disaster of fraud and scam and owner still won't talk to us and try to help. This is a Big Scam. Something should be done.Initial Complaint

8/18/22. The company picked up my property to be delivered to ********* my available. Date for delivery was 9-2-22 with the contact stating they have up to thirty day to deliver. It is now 10-31-22 and I have not recieved my property. I have called several times with excesses why I have not recieved my property. The last two weeks I have not been able to reach the company through there phone service, unable to leave message because answering service is full. 5/25/2022 Contacted by Nationwide Moving and Storage after online search for interstate moving rates from *******, ****** to ****************, ****.Representative ****** sent ** an inventory email, to measure and list all items, and estimate number of boxes. ****** said a "box" was comparable to a medium moving box from U-Haul.After measuring all furniture and estimating boxes at 50, ****** at Nationwide said the estimate for our move was $8,516.66, which included 30 days of free storage. When I asked for 60 he put me on hold, came back and said 45 days free storage.****** explained $2,459.33 was due now, to book the move and lock rates; 1/3 ($3,028) due upon the movers arrival at our home on June 20, 2022. Final 1/3, $3,028.00, upon delivery to our home. We paid $2,459.33 by **** over the phone.Nationwide would call to confirm items and box quantities prior to pickup. Changes could be made and rate adjusted.Job #T4196153 assigned to us.6/17/2022 ********************** called. We measured and added a few pieces of furniture, and increased our box total to 80. New rate: $9,723.59. Pay $3,028.00 to movers on pickup date. Remainder upon delivery.******* said the moving company would be Movers and Packers Relocation Specialists, who would call 6/19/2022. Movers and Packers driver, ****, called 6/19 confirming pickup.6/20/2022 **** and two men arrived 9 AM with a U-Haul truck. After walking through our home **** said the price was higher because we had more than he was told to move. Rate skyrocketed to $18,262.00.After a disagreement, but without options since we had to be out in two days, we paid $9,028.00.7/7; 7/12; 7/13 Called Movers and Packers to resolve overcharge. Rude, no resolution.7/13; 7/15 Called Nationwide, filed complaint. Emailed supervisor: Job T4196153; request #*****. No resolution.08/16/2022 Mover delivery. On June 29th ********* Moving Group ************************************************************************** Phone: ************ DOT #: ******* MC #: ******* had a subcontractor (my term not a legal one) arrive at my home and packed up my belongings and then tell me it was three times the binding quote. Two months later with cash in hand I had my goods delivered. They were again 6 hours late it was 9 pm when they finished and I began situating my boxes and furniture. I quickly found out I was missing a statue and then several other boxes. I called and called to no response. I called all movers and am waiting for their help Movers and Packers Relocation Specialists will not return my calls or my missing property.
