    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding Juan of Vela of Vela Electric LLC, who has failed to fulfill the agreed-upon services after collecting a deposit. On May 31st, 2024, I paid Juan a deposit of $500, with check number **** see attached, for electrical work he was supposed to begin within a week. Despite the initial agreement, Juan consistently rescheduled and ignored my attempts to confirm a start date, making it impossible to coordinate with the overall timeline of my project. Due to his repeated delays and lack of reliability, I was forced to hire another contractor to complete the job. I then requested a refund of my deposit from Juan. He initially offered to return either my deposit or the materials he claimed to have purchased with the $500. However, despite multiple attempts to arrange a meeting to resolve the matter, Juan has continually evaded my requests. To this day, I have not received my deposit or the promised materials. I believe this behavior to be both unprofessional and unethical.

    Juan was paid to install an EV home charging station, as he was recommended by ********** ** **********. He did not complete the install to satisfaction, as he did not file a permit with the township. ******* Township failed the inspection citing GFCI protection is needed for the receptacle, moreover, this should have been apart of the installation. When I contacted Juan, he agreed to make the adjustment at no additional cost with the exception of the breaker needed to pass inspection. After this point, he strung me along, pulled (2) no show’s and became nonresponsive.
