I purchased a 22 Dodge charger, from Nissan Of Eddison .With three different types of warranty /service plans. The car was totaled within two months of having the car. I fully paid the car off. So I’m looking for a refund of the monies for the service plans/warranty. I have been reaching out to the company , but to no avail, have I had anyone return my calls ,after numerous messages that were left and speaking to one individual who stated that he will return my call two weeks ago ,and I have not yet received any return calls from them concerning my issue . I would like all monies for the service plans , plus tax refunded.. The price that is in the amount box, is the total for the service without the tax.Business Response

I purchased a vehicle on 3/11/2024. I traded a vehicle in and opted to transfer the plates from the old to the new car. The dealer said they would remove the old plates and mail them with the registration when I was allowed to install them on the new car. I received the package with the registration and only one of the two required plates to install on the new car. I have texted the salesman that sent them several times as well as called the dealership at least 5 times to try to get the second plate as it is required in ** to have both back and front plates. I have been ignored for several days. Today I received one text saying the mechanic only gave them one plate to send me. I asked for an extension on the now expired temporary tag they gave me so I can continue to drive the vehicle I purchased. I have yet to hear back from them at all. I would like to either have my original plates back so I can use the car or the dealership needs to replace them as they are responsible for losing them. In the meantime I would like a temporary tag so I can drive my car. Previous to this, they did not give me the second key that came with the car. They assured me they would mail it on 3/12. I reached out to them 3 days later and they said they found it. They did not send it to me until they had the registration back. The business practices at this location are underhanded and they do not seem to care about giving the customer what they rightfully paid for after a contract is signed. Further, the salesman that originally assured me he would send the plates and then try to find the missing one has ignored my phone calls for any updates.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:I still have not been contacted by the manager. I have attempted to contact the dealership several more times and have had a response once where I was told I will receive an email with directions for getting replacement plates for my vehicle. That was one week ago. I followed up two days later and was texted once more and was told that I would get it that day. I attempted to contact them again and have received no response at all. The amount of time and effort I have spent attempting to get what I paid for is ridiculous at this point. At no time have they responded to any phone calls *** made.

On April 20, 2023, I completed a purchase transaction at Edison Nissan, located at *******, Edison, **, acquiring a 2011 ***** Equinox. The advertised price for the vehicle was $8,995, and it had only ****** miles. I made the full payment of $8,995 in cash, along with an additional $1,500 designated for what was described as a comprehensive multipoint inspection and servicing. I was assured that this supplementary service was essential to ensure the car's excellent condition prior to the sale. The dealership claimed they had diligently examined and serviced various aspects of the vehicle, including transmission fluids. Regrettably, only 118 days after the purchase, I experienced a catastrophic failure with the vehicle. With fewer than ***** miles driven, averaging less than 500 miles per month, on August 12th, the car suddenly lost its ability to shift gears, accompanied by a loud grinding noise. The transmission of the vehicle suffered a complete breakdown. I managed to have a third-party Chevrolet dealer confirm the cause of the breakdown. It became apparent to both me and the third-party mechanic (from the ***************************** that the promised and paid-for multipoint inspection had not been carried out. Such an inspection would have detected the need to replace the transmission fluid, thereby preventing the transmission failure. I paid $1,500 for a service that was never executed, and I was provided with false assurances regarding the vehicle's condition. The Nissan of Edison website's multipoint inspection checklist includes Inspection of fluid levels, covering brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, and windshield wiper fluid.Business Response

I purchased a Nissan Rogue 2020 on December 26, 2022 at Edison Nissan. I am a current Georgia resident and purchased the vehicle on a visit. Amount paid: $8000 in downpayment (included tax fees and registration) Financed amount: $20,724.96 Nissan Edison charged us (fee for registration, license plates, tax and other fees) to have our license plates and registration delivered to our house in Georgia. However, it has been more than 2 months since I purchased the vehicle and I have NOT received the license plates. Nissan Edison claimed that my license plates were at Georgia DMV. I was also pulled over by a law enforcement official who looked under the VIN number and reported nothing showing up. Edison Nissan again claimed that the plates are at Georgia DMV. However, when I contacted the Georgia DMV they have NOTHING submitted under the VIN number and neither under the address of my vehicle. When asked for an explanation or some proof of submission, Edison Nissan is unable to provide us with anything to follow up with. They are not responding to phone calls, not returning phone calls and not making any effort whatsoever to get things done. Last communication was with the sales manager at Edison Nissan (on Friday March 3, 2023) who had claimed he would call his DMV representative and give us a call back. It has been 5 days and no one has contacted us or responded to our efforts to reach them. The second temporary plate is expiring on March 9, 2023. I need my license plates and registration ASAP. No tracking number is provided for the new license plates or any proof of submission of paperwork by Edison Nissan. Desired resolution is a prompt delivery of my license plate and registration.Business Response

I bought a used car- Nissan Rogue 2019 -for my son on 1/9/2023. I had been approved of a loan and asked my mother to co-sign that loan. Instead of checking to see if she could be used for my loan, they ran her entire credit for every loan company despite only needing her on the one I was approved for. I put $5000 in cash for this $16k car, yet the loan is for $26k. They were supposed to supply mats for the car and I have texts messages backing up that they said they would give them to me. They did not reach out to me about my license plates and I had to contact them because my temporary plates had expired. When I went to go pick up new temps I received a post card in the mail THAT day that my plates were in. The manager still tried to give me temps. I had to argue with him that they were actually in, so he finally actually looks and they'd been there for days. He then refused to give me the mats that I was promised. I get a call a few days later that I owed money for the *** and I said no, that's already been paid for with the money I put down. I ended up speaking with the main manager and asked him to look into it. I also provided him with text messages sent to him via email about my mats and nothing. I've not heard back from him in 2 weeks. This was a horrendous experience and I never had a car dealership act like this. Every car I've had is from a dealership and I've never had to jump through hoops like the way these guys have done. It is very unprofessional and I think there's things in my contract that are not valid. They were not forthcoming in their business and I felt very rushed, there's something not right about this Nissan Dealership. I did contact Nissan corporate and they told me I have to deal with them directly but they're simply avoiding me. I still can't believe that they ran my mom's credit the way he did. No one told him to do that and we didn't know until after the fact that that was done.Business Response

I found the car I was looking at this establishment and went in to purchase just yesterday. What a horrible experience this was. From start to finish it was a nightmare. My sales rep was ***************************. I found the car on the web advertised at ****** - I also found the same car - same vin number advertised at ******. Great Right? Well, I presented ******** with the screenshot I took of the lower of the two prices and he started to argue with me - telling me it was a mistake and they could not honor the price. When I got up to leave it became a different story. They agreed to sell the vehicle to me for the lower of the two prices and immediately took my credit card. I told them I wanted a payment of no more than $359.00 he said he could do that. The rest of the process was the usual buying a car process until I got to the finance manager. Sitting there I was told that my car had been involved in an accident. When I questioned further I was told that I signed the carfax report - I DID NO SUCH THING - ******** took the opportunity to sign MY name to the carfax himself! This is a criminal action to say the least! I was then told I had no warranty which ******** agreed to when I was buying to car. Additional fees added salt to the wound. I have since read a ton of review of this dealership and they all say the same thing. This is a dishonest business and should be dealt with accordinglyBusiness Response

On 1/7/23 I traded in a 2002 Hyundai Sonata to Edison Nissan. On 2/15/23 I received notice of 3 traffic tickets from Newark issued 2/11/23 to plate K2LKU which I currently had in my possession until I turned them into DMV on 2/17/23. I immediately called the dealer and spoke with Jason B**** he asked me to send a detailed email to look into it. Later I tried to call again to find out what was going on. i was switched to voicemails, hung up on several times before I finally reached Mr. B**** and a manager named Glen. They apologized and assured me they would provide me with a letter stating I was no longer the owner. Glen explained that the car was sold to another dealership. When I asked how they sold the vehicle without transferring the title he could not give me a clear answer and said they would email me the letter in the morning. On 2/16/23 I tried to call the dealer and again my calls were being deterred. Finally Glen took my call. He said I could pick up the letter tomorrow. On 2/17/23 I met with Nato, he provided me a notarized letter, a bill of sale and a copy of the title which was blank. I said “I did not fill this title out how were you able to sell this car without transferring the title and how did that other dealership sell the car to someone else?” he responded “why would you fill out the title? we take care of all that” I said “but you clearly did not, the title is blank which leaves an open title” he responded “your wrong the car is no longer in your name” I explained “I received traffic tickets because I still came up as the owner and will continue to if the title isn’t transferred” He responded “you’re wrong the car isnt in your name and we did our part”. I told him “I spoke with DMV and they confirmed yesterday the car was still in my name” and Nato said “No its not” I said “this is title jumping it is illegal and fraudulent” He said “no its not” I told him he would be hearing from my attorney and he said “that’s fine ill wait for the call”Business Response

Final transaction was on the afternoon of December 8, 2023. First saw vehicle and left a deposit on December 5th. I purchased a used, 2019 Nissan Maxima from this establishment. I went to them because I thought I wouldn't have to deal with all of the things that you usually endure on used car lots. Boy was I wrong. To make along story short, I was only provided one key when I picked up the car. I was told they could not give me one at time because they utilized an outside source to make keys for used vehicles. The car is a Nissan and they are Nissan dealer. They gave me an "I owe you" for the key after I insisted on it. The next day when it was light outside, I noticed the windows were not etched with VIN. I was charged $299 for that service. After looking further I noticed that the power steering pump was making a loud noise. I contacted another dealer and they suggested that I add some power steering fluid, which I did. At this point I looked a little further and found the air filter hadn't been changed since the vehicle was put in service. I contact the used car manager, Mr F**** and he said no problem, send him the receipts and he would refund me for all of the discrepancies. I've contacted Nissan Customer care twice and Mr. F**** called me back each time stating he was taking care of it. Last week he sent me a message stating that he would have my check ready by Thursday, he was only waiting for a signature. This organization has been giving me the run-around since the day I purchased the car. I called their number that they have posted for their company officers, but no one has yet to return my calls. There's several other underhanded things that took place, but I only ask to made whole and not to ever have any contact with Edison Nissan. In summary I would like to be refunded for: $299 + Tax Window etching that was not performed $51.06 Air Filter and Power Steering Fluid $260.85 Key Fob and Emergency Key $130+ Tax Key Fob ProgrammingBusiness Response
