1 star******, dealership hid facts about the 2024 *** iX they sold my husband. He leased a 2024 ** (its a loaner with 6k miles). After taking possession of the car, he found paperwork stating that the tires are very close to the minimum tread depth allowed for sale in the state of **. In addition, the paperwork states that 2 of the tires were plugged. None of these things were disclosed to him prior to or during the signing of the paperwork for the purchase of the vehicle. After finding this paperwork he took the vehicle to our personal mechanic whom checked the vehicle and told him that all 4 tires will need to be replaced within the next 6 months and that the alignment is also off. He contacted Open Road BMW of Edison and asked them to change the tires and perform the alignment and they refused. When paying $84,000 for a vehicle, one should not have to replace tires and perform an alignment within 6 months of purchasing the carReview fromImran M

1 starI had an extremely disappointing experience with Open Road BMW of Edison. On June 22nd, I reached out about a 2025 *** M4 in Skyscrapper Gray. *********************, the sales representative, told me that the delivery wouldn't be until July. Two days later, on June 24th, I found a similar car in ******* and asked for a refund of my $1000 deposit. ****** told me he would get back to me the next day.Instead of responding, he got back to me a week later and offered a black M3 instead. He then told me that the company policy allows refunds only within 7 days, even though I requested a refund within just 2 days. This delay was clearly a tactic to retain my deposit.I never signed any written terms or conditions stating that the deposit was non-refundable. ****** did not inform me of this policy over text or phone, yet he claimed to have told a friend of mine. Well, who's buying the car, me or my friend??I have documented the entire conversation and will be disputing this with my bank. The only application I submitted was for credit, which did not mention any deposit terms. As a professional who does marketing for high-level enterprises, I promise this review is going to be posted on every local and global business directory where Open Road BMW of Edison is listed. Their unprofessionalism and unethical practices should be a warning to potential customers.Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.Review fromKaren V

1 starI purchased an used car in 10/2020, I paid for registration/title fee, as of today after texting the salesman, I still have not received the title or has not been send to the credit union/the lien holder of the car loan. I am trying to pay the car off and sell it, but I have no title. I have left messages after messages and emails; and no response. I have purchased many vehicles from other dealers and never experienced any issues. This is a terrible dealership. They were very quick to call me and take my payment in full for the car. But they do not follow up.Review fromLauren M

1 starBe careful with your loner or they will pin damage on you and you did not do it. I inspected the loner. When I got in the car, I got situated. I was just out of their complex and saw a cracked windshield. I took a pic, called, and texted this damage. (It was low on the windshield and hard to see from the outside). The girl I called said she would report it to the loan department, NEVER DID. The text was not "received" yet he got all our other texts with no problem. When I returned it I told the valent guy about it and how I reported it. After I dealt with the service manager, he came running out as I was getting into my car. Stopping me to say, "Hey the windshield is cracked!" I stated I texted you and called about it and I was told no problem. "We would have never loaned you the car in that condition". We you did I said, and as I stated before, I reported it. He says, "Well I will just have to check the cameras!" I said "go right ahead and check." Mind you, this was the second loner of the week, the first was a NEW transmission put in, (2022 X5 with only ****** miles on it) Second time was for the left heating control panels don't work unless the car is warmed up for a half hour or over 50 degrees, which turned into getting a new MODULE. All are under warranty thank God. The kicker to this story is when I told them about this issue I was told I did not drive it enough and since it is under ****** In a year, it causes it to power down more and it takes time to power everything up. REALLY. Since when driving it under ****** a year will cause a $70,000 car not to work? LAMEST excuse ever. I think they were trying to say it is probably not fixable! I CANNOT MAKE THIS C*** UP! I will not go back to this dealer again. I will try the Springfield one. I wish I looked at BBB sooner to see all the 1-star ratings this dealer got! Going backward, let me add how miserable the girl I dealt with 2 do the ** for the loaner. She was nasty and cold.Review fromALEXA F

1 starIf I could leave a 0 star review, I would. I bought a used truck for $15k from this dealership at the end of August. My temporary license plates expired September 24th. No one ever called me to tell me they would be late coming in, I had to call constantly to check if my plates were in yet. Then beginning September 19th, I started getting mail from the bank I was financing through saying that they had never received the title for the vehicle from the dealership, and that I needed to follow up with the dealership. What an absolute headache any follow up has been, whether it has been about my license plates or the title. Reception always transfers you to someone's voicemail and they NEVER call you back. I wasted so much time calling this dealership trying to get a hold of anyone that will talk to me and no one ever knows what is going on. It seems that everyone is always out for the day, in a meeting, or I just get sent to voicemail despite reception telling me they just talked with the person they are transferring me to. I finally get told that my plates are coming in a full month after my temporary plates expired (more than 2 months after buying the vehicle). After having such an awful experience and wasting so much time, I was hoping they would comp the $25 fee to mail my plates, as it would be more than a 2 hour round trip to pick them up. Of course only a manager can authorize that, and despite leaving voicemails with supposed managers and my salesperson, I once again have yet to hear back from anyone. Not to mention the $15k truck that was inspected by their mechanics and got the "all clear" immediately needed an exhaust clamp and 3rd brake light up on getting it home. And after driving it only ************ needed transmission fluid & a filter, and new coolant temperature sensor and thermostat because the radiator fan won't turn off. I've never been more frustrated with a place of business from the absolute lack of communication.Review fromTerrence K

1 starOpen Road BMW is refusing to honor the *** warranty, I purchased the automobile on June 30, 2021, and the *** expires in June of 2023 The engine blew in the vehicle after being serviced on 4/15/2022 and given a multi-point inspection according to the service records Initially, I was told by *********************** that I was covered and would be issued with a loaner vehicle. When I went to pick up the loaner, ************ began speaking in a very unprofessional loud manner and letting everyone in the dealership hear his comments directed at me. I remained professional and asked for the corporate number, Called corporate and have not heard anything from them since I spoke to their representative on May 24th. I just received an estimate for the repair and it is astronomical, ***** dollars! I paid ***** for the car. I am really disappointed with the service department for not honoring the *** agreement.
