      Drove over an hour to the closest Spirit Halloween open for Christmas (Spirit Christmas). I spent almost $500 on decorations. The $300 gingerbread man inflatable popped not once... but twice. The first time I was told there's nothing to be done but for ME to go back to the store. I do, and exchange the product. Bring it home, 2 days later it pops again. This time I'm told I can get a return label, but I have to track the return myself, and call them for my refund when it gets to their warehouse. I wait, and never received a shipping label. Then my $30 gingerbread inflatable stops working as well, so I go back to the store to return them both. 6 hours driving at this point. Today, my last item from my original purchase (2 weeks ago) stopped working, and almost caught fire. I refuse to go back to the store and will not be mailing it back and having to beg for my refund. Everything they made for the Christmas season is terrible quality and I'm sure they know that. Horrible business practices.

      Bought something online. Pretty fast delivery but thats about all that was good. The Halloween decoration didnt look like it did online or in the video so I decided to return. Since I bought it online, I couldnt return it to any of their temporary stores, it had to be returned to the warehouse. I paid $70 to have the stupid decoration returned and was told I would get my refund in about 2 weeks. After 5 weeks, I still hadnt received my return and had to dispute the charge with credit card company to get my money back. ****************. Do not buy from them.

      ***, this is such a scam company! I requested, and was approved, for a return to Spirit of Halloween and they emailed me a Return Authorization Slip to the very email address I used for the BBB. Yes, I did save my ***** tracking number all this time because I don't trust Spirit of Halloween. My return was received by Spirit of Halloween on October 10th.

      ****************. Ordered costumes for my kids online cause what they wanted was hard to find(teletubbies). The costumes never arrived. I tried to start the refund October 28 as 1 costume said it hasn't even shipped, they said I had at wait for it to arrive. I get the 'how did you like your order' please leave a review' email Nov 1 so I again tried to get the return started. I was then told neither of my items shipped that they would start the return. I'd get an email confirmation within 2 days. Nov 5 and I've heard nothing so again I request a refund. I'm told once the 'process' is started out will take 7 to 14 business days. Ok fine what do I need to do to get this 'process' started that I hadn't already done? Apparently ask very specificity and then confirm 4 times. Nov 23 still nothing. No email. No refund. Now I'm told my refund is still pending at the warehouse and I'll be emailed with further information. I asked several times what does that mean and what about everything else I've been told till this point? No response.

      Spirit Halloween sells masks that are battery operated. I was in a hurry to buy one of those masks, so I didn't sufficiently check if it worked. Upon coming home, I put it new batteries and discovered that the product was defective. I went back to the store the NEXT DAY and found out that they won't allow a refund after a certain date before the halloween, but they would allow exchanges for the same exact item. Well, the other exact items were also NOT working and they don't have new batteries to check them for me. I suggested that they pull those items from the floor because they're not working. But, they said that they may work if new batteries were put in, but they were unwilling to check them with new batteries. So, basically, if a consumer makes a mistake to buy any of these defective items, they're out of luck! So, i got a different mask about 6 dollars cheaper, and reasoned to please consider it an exchange, PLUS i got 2 more items. However, their system won't allow them to apply the $6 difference towards my other purchases. So, I basically lost $6 in the process.The manager i talked to said that rules for exchanges and returns were posted by the entrance, but they were not.This business have much to improve about their return and exchange policies. It sounds like their computer systems do not allow for these (after a certain date), their workers receive these types of complaints a lot and can't offer better solutions. And I bet other consumers have had to take the losses, just like I did.

      If I could give 0 stars I would! I have 2 kids and obviously costume sizes are not the same as what clothes they would wear on an every day basis, so naturally you try them on. Tried my sons in, no problem. Daughter was trying hers on and we were approached by an employee and she told us its not aloud to try on costumes and we had to buy it and if it didnt fit we could come back and exchange it up until oct. 31. Went to the store today because I went based off of what a PAID EMPLOYEE told me and I was turned down immediately with no remorse. All my daughter needed was a different size in the same costume and it was literally one piece so nothing could be missing. I told the manager Im assuming what I was told and she said oh well and also said we should have been informed at check out which we werent. Wasnt told anything not even have a nice day. Called customer care and the lady on the phone was awful and rude. I told her what I was told and she said well thats not the policy. I get that but if Im told that, thats not my fault. She asked for my name and I asked for hers but she told me she couldnt disclose that info and hung up. I hope spirit Halloween is happy to have ruined a childs Halloween. I work in customer service with these same issues and if I ever spoke like this I would be fired immediately. And If an associate told a customer something we would honor it

      I'm never returning to this store. Today, I purchased a costume, but when I opened it at home to try it on, I discovered it was missing all the extras - no mask, gloves, or socks. The store associate denied my request to trade it in, and the corporate number simply told me that all sales are final. The 2nd-level supervisor even hung up on me after putting me on hold.

      I just bought a $75 kids costume less than an hour ago. It's missing the wings and headband that are supposed to come with it, and guest services will do nothing to make it right. I understand your return policy, but when you sell a costume in a package, I expect the entire costume to be there. ***** services was awful. They kept me on hold for 10 minutes before hanging up on me. Don't waste your money here. Zero customer service.

      The Utica-Michigan store uses false advertising on their wesite and has shady fraudulant business practices in their customer service and sales department. The staff and the store managers are rude thiefs, unprofessional and use bullying techniques to intimidate their cusomers. The use false advertising on their website where they advertise a 20% discount coupon for in-store use that is valid thru 10/31/2024 and when I tried using it on 10/25/2024 they lied to my face and said it expired on 10/24/2024 and they do not want to honor it. I escalated this issue to the store managers and they also refused to honor it. When I requested an immediate ******************** of my purchased items at the register minutes after they rang up my 2 items the manager refused to return my items and started giving me nasty attitude. Then the managers disrespected me infront of everyone at the store, yalled at me and asked me to leave the store and minutes later called the police & make false accusations against me for asking them to return and refund my purchase. I have never experienced anything like this and will never tolerate their unacceptable behaviors. I will be filing a formal complaint to the state against this store to shut them store down with a formal law suite to follow against the store management for this total abuse of me as consumer. No one should be treated this way when I just went in the store to buy 2 halloween costumes for my kids. This store and it's managment team are trashy and disgrace to our ***************** I am escalating this complaint for the corporate customer service to pull up the video and review this incident asap. These bullies need to be suspended and fired for their abusive behaviors ??????. I would give the Utica-Michigan store a minus rating if it was offered because they do even deserve a 1 star.

      Bad experience with spirit Halloween, I spent $200 dollars with costumes, apparently one didnt fit so I went to the store and do an exchange they couldnt let me or either returned it or get my money back. So moving forward I dont recommend people to buy from them. They have bad costumer service

      I am filing a complaint against Spirit of Halloween for their handling of a recent transaction. My experience involved unclear return policies and the improper handling of remaining store credit, which was used without my consent for a charitable donation.I made a purchase at Spirit of Halloween. However, when I attempted to return the item (due to an improper fit and lack of available alternatives in-store), I was informed that all sales were finala policy that was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase.Instead of a return, I was given an exchange option. After exchanging, there was a remaining balance of approximately $20. Instead of refunding this amount or allowing me to select another item, the remaining funds were donated to charity without my consent, effectively removing any say I had over my funds.This experience left me disappointed and feeling that my consumer rights were disregarded. I believe Spirit of Halloween should clearly communicate their all sales final policy before customers make purchases and allow customers to decide what to do with any remaining store credit after an exchange, rather than enforcing an automatic donation.I am requesting a resolution to this issue, ideally a refund of the whole balance and an assurance that Spirit of Halloween will revise their communication of policies to better serve their customers.
