On October 3, 2024 the credit union of NJ withdrew money from every account I was listed as a joint owner to cover the negative amount of an account I was listed as a joint owner. The owner of the account deposited a fraudulent check and now the credit union is taking money out of my account and my children account to cover the negative balance. I had no knowledge of the situation and was made aware when I noticed money was taken out of all my accounts. I went to the credit union because I was told I could be removed from the account when I arrived at the bank I was told I couldn’t be removed because the account was still in the negative. It’s not fair that the credit union is holding me liable for something I did not do not did I have any knowledge of.Initial Complaint

In the past 30 days my Credit Union of New Jersey debit card has been either deactivated or unaccessible for use on 5 different occasions when going to the grocery store and other retail stores. The first 2 times of this incident I was told that my card needed to be reset, with no explanation as to why this happened to me while trying to purchase items. The incidents afterwards were horrible, the phone numbers made available to me on my credit unions website either weren't working or couldn't assist me, again with no explanation. I've been a member of this credit union for close to a decade. Today, 2/18, this incident happened again while in the store and I was told that no one could assist me. This has happened 5 times in the last 30 days where I am not able to purchase my daughter's supplies, food, etc., and had to go without. On two occasions they mentioned that they had no record of my card number or social security number, although I've been a long time member. If there was no record on their end of me having an account, I want to be reimbursed for all transactions made during the times I faced this inconvenience. It is unprofessional, unacceptable, and a grievance to my family and I when trying to purchase goods.Initial Complaint

So I have been trying to postpone this review because any issues Ive had before they were able to fix with a call. But Ive had it at this point . I called in on December 27,2022 to request that a new card be mailed out to the new address I updated myself prior online. Because this bank is my main bank I asked to have my card expedited and paid a 25 dollar fee for what I was told is 1-2 business day shipping. I waited a week since it the holiday and still no card.I call CUNJ and let them know they give me a date, and a sob story about their having issues with the card merchant so cards are delayed. Thats fine but why didnt they mention this to me prior before ordering the card and waiting for a expedite that still hasnt happened.still no card. 4 WEEKS later I call again waiting for said card that was mailed out. Still no card I ask for a refund since obviously I still dont have a card and I paid for a service that I still have not received. Spoke with a multiple supervisors that never call you back and tell me they arent refunding me because they mailed it. After 7 calls later they send me a email showing me the mailed it out to the wrong address that I changed 4 days before requesting a new card. And still refuse to refund me for a card I still have yet to receive.Initial Complaint

on 11/24/22 I took my truck to ********* Auto Mall to get looked out due to the check engine light came on. They found out what was wrong with it. **** from Bridgeton Auto Mall called the ***************, and he told them what was wrong, after they fixed whatever was wrong with the truck. They called the *************** back that it was internal they told him that they were going to fix it and now they said that they not going to fix it. I called the *************** back to see what was going on they stated that the truck was over ******* miles so that's why they not going to fix the truck, but they fixed the 1st thing that was wrong the 1st time and the mileage was over ******* miles the 1st time when they gave the approval to fix the 1st problem. The lady from Credit Union of New Jersey name ***** never asked me what my mileage was she is the one that put ****** I don't know where she got that from.
