On Oct18, 2021 ( claim number 2021-470792)whileon vacation, my upstairs toiletoverflowed and flooded my second-floor bathroom and first-floor living room and kitchen. After I called my insurance, NJM, Servicemaster contacted me to clean the water from the flood. The water was cleaned up around 12 hours later. Mycabinets are made of particleboard and sat for approx 12 hours in water from a toilet. Idon'tknow what cause the toilet to overflow since I was not there for theflood or the cleanup. It was caused by a toilet and it's very possible the flood was caused by some sort of clog with ***** matter. The end cabinetveneerwas peeling off from sitting in the water. Wealso don'tknow how much of the water was in contact with the other cabinets and could have been contaminated but did not cause visible damage. The water was never tested for contaminatesnor did NJM or Servicemaster even look at the toiletto find out the cause. When my adjuster came to look at the damage shesawthe damaged cabinetand explained if thatcabinetneeds to be replaced, they will have to replace the entire bottom row of cabinets. She also said the top cabinetswill not be replaced. On Oct ******************************************************************************* a copy. When ServicePro came out to remove all the wet drywall and flooring and they did a professional job doing so. After everything was removed I heard nothing from NJM or Servicemaster. November 7, 2021,I emailed my adjuster and was told Servicemaster will call me shortly. I heard nothing from either company foraweek after I called forthesecond time. I emailed again and my adjuster said Servicemaster will do the quotes from the tear-out and will not come to see the damage. I disagreed with this approach and they decidedto come to survey the damage before they made a proposal. ServiceMaster sent the proposaland they recommended just gluing the veneerback on the cabinet. I disagreed with this resolution

I had filed a homeowners insurance claim number 2021-454617 on September 9 2021 for the damage to my home cause by hurricane *** that hit New Jersey around September 1 2021.Due to very heavy rain and wind, water had entered my home from the ceiling above my newly renovated kitchen, newly renovated second floor master bedroom , master batch as well has in my basement. An adjuster *************************** was assigned by NJM the above mentioned claim.Since nobody from NJM had come to inspect the damage, hence I had to contact various contractors to assess the damage and get an estimate for the repairs.Since roofing and other contractors are very busy due heavy demand for repairing damages caused by ***, I was finally able to get an estimate from R4Roof roofing company and sent it to *************************** on September 24 2021.After getting the above mentioned estimate, *************************** on September 24 2021 decided to assign RYZE Claim solutions to physically come to my home and inspect the damage.A representative from RYZE Claim solutions - persons name was ***** - along with a person from another estimating company visited my home on October 7 2021 and inspected the damages took detailed information like measurements, pictures of the areas that were damaged by the water from hurricane. I was told that these details would be provided to NJM insurance company in a few days and the claim will be settled.I had been following up with NJM claims adjusted *************************** via email since October 15 2021 to get an update. Every time, I get that same reply that he is waiting for waiting for the adjuster - from RYZE - to finalize and upload the report to the claim.I again sent a follow-up email to *************************** today morning (11/1/2021) at ***** am, however, I have not received any response from him.In order to prevent my home from being further damaged by weather, I would like to get the damages repaired at the earliest.

I was advised of a leak at our rental property which cause substantial damage and mold. We have used NJM for 14 years without filing one claim. Now, I following a claim per my Dwelling Insurance that they Deny. They cite that I am under DP-1 which, according to their policy and buying guide is only for homes under construction. My property is not under construction and is 60 years old. They allowed us to remain in a policy that was not permissible as our home was not under construction. Now because of an underwriting error, we are left with the ****? Their policy changed over 14 years to then include DP2 and DP3, newer more enhanced coverage but they allowed owners who no longer fit the criteria of DP1 to remain. Taking their money without providing adequate coverage. This is fraudulent activity.
