We have had some minor issues from the get go since moving in. But one major issue is MOLD!!!! In our basement trusses. They call it field mold and say its normal. We disagree! All they needed to do it have the wood for the home on concrete blocks so its not sitting in the road with water and mud. Also, have the wood covered up when its delivered to the lot. They sent two laborers to clean our mold. They took two hours to do the entire basement. I see no difference and two mold inspectors have come out to say there is still mold and needs to be taken care of the proper way by a mold specialist! Fernmoor is not about to pay for that and makes you sign a mold disclaimer when you give them money on your lot and home. BUYER BEWARE!!!! They need to make it right and send mold specialists to clean this once and for all. Fernmoor has great attorneys protecting them and his job is to help them get out of paying for any fault or negligence on Fernmoors part! Shame on FERNMOOR!!!!!!! Dont buy a FERNMOOR home!

Below refer to below response to the homeowner from our onsite team via email on 2/13/2025:Good Afternoon ****, Your file was already provided to upper management for review and direction. As stated previously, after reviewing your report and the file this claim is not warrantable. Based on your file the first reported leak was on 3/3/24 and was repaired on 3/14/24. The second small leak was reported on 3/28/24 and repaired on 4/14/24. Both were repaired promptly and in a timely fashion. We had the trusses cleaned on 12/10/24. Based on the report you provided from the company you hired, there is nothing presently active in the basement, which would determine the trusses were cleaned appropriately on 12/10/24. Should you choose to move forward with their proposal, it would be at your discretion and expense. Thank you

On 1/20/24 the first mold inspector said visible microbial growth was present on engineered floor joists. THIS WAS AFTER FERNMOOR SENT TWO LABORS to clean the mold. (Note: the cleaners they sent took two hours to do this entire job). After they left, we did not notice that they cleaned anything or got rid of the mold. The mold inspector also stated the growth appears to be dormant. He also recommends the removal of all visible microbial growth according to ***** remediation standards: International Institution of Cleaning, Restoration, and Certification. Because the mold inspector said the mold appears to be dormant, FERNMOOR now feels their cleaners took care of this problem. THIS IS SO NOT TRUE!!!!! This is still a problem. I reached out to this mold inspector and he said to contact ********************. He said they are the scientists and will let you know for sure what should be done. Sussex Environmental came out and the evaluation entailed: (1) visual observation of affected areas for the presence or evidence of water damage, water stains and/or suspect fungal growth; and (2) moisture readings obtained using a GE Survey master penetrating/non-penetrating moisture meter. The following were observed during the evaluation. Previous water intrusion on exterior wall near ventilation unit, humidity 41% at the time of inspection, VISIBLE mold staining and growth observed on ceiling framing; this growth is sporadic and not isolated to one ******* thats the report from the scientists and yet FERNMOOR thinks they should not have to do anything to remedy our problem. FERNMOOR sent us a letter from their attorney and basically have washed their hands of this problem. I will NEVER purchase another FERNMOOR home. Buyers, do your homework ahead of time on your builder!!!!!!

As evidenced by the lack of any similar claims, Fernmoor is an established builder and we take all our buyers' concerns and happiness very seriously. Investigations for this homeowner's issues were completed and cleared by way of industry standards.

I settled on a Fernmoor home in September, 2021. I was told there would be a 30 day walk through and then an 11 month walk through to resolve and correct any remaining issues with my home. On the 30 day walk through I gave the project manager a list of issues to be addressed. Several months later I gave a list to the new project manager. There were still unaddressed issues when I submitted my list to yet another new project manager. When he left I addressed these issues with a FOURTH project manager (Four project managers in less than 3 years- What does that tell you?). I had been sending emails to the warranty department and the project managers. The last project manager finally left me a message saying that my house was now out of warranty and there was nothing they could do. What a scam! Stay away from Fernmoor Homes!

We went out multiple times for floor squeaks at the end of her warranty period. The framer fixed the floor squeaks, the flooring company replaced some (a lot based on the service ticket) of the *** and she was not happy with the natural color variation. She wanted her whole floor replaced that was not warranted so she is ultimately upset with that. We did not have 4 project managers (only 2) but we may have had 4 warranty techs.

I have been living in Mi-place at the shore apartments for 4 years. It has been constantly ongoing problems. No heat in the winter, rooft leaks, silver fish, and no air in the *******. Maintenance is horrible and the leasing office blows you off. If I could move I would.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. We have been told nothing but lies since we purchased our home from Fernmoor. At our initial meeting at the sales office and the information in writing, their warranty is a joke. The quality of the workmanship is also below par and they don't want to fix any of the problems encountered. I don't think they know what a level is, our wall next to the refrigerator was so out of whack they had to remove the baseboard to get it into the spot. We have had many problems with the "upgraded" flooring we purchased, nothing but squeaking and uneven flooring throughout. The masterbath shower had the wrong tile installed, the grout started falling out after a month, the builder did not want to replace it, this past march we finally got the go ahead to pick out something else since the original product was no longer available. We are still waiting for the job to be completed 6 months later. We have been told so many times that someone would be coming then no show, materials supposed to be delivered, again, no show. I'm at my wits end as how to proceed. Had we known this would be the case we never would have purchased from them, I wish i had done more research into them before signing on the dotted line.

Fernmoor is a caulk and duct tape builder. They are the most uncaring, unresponsive, unfriendly builders around. Weve Been in our home for over six months now in ******************* and theres still original punchlist items that arent done and their quality of finish work is absolutely horrible. I would suggest walking around talking to homeowners before you buy a fern **** home
