      I hired America First Moving Company who then sub contracted to Mirit Great American Inc for my move from *******, CT to ******** *****, **. The agreement was for $3357.56. When Mirit picked up the price doubled to 6777.56. Saying that I had double the amount of pieces than the quote was for. For example: The quote from America First stated 1 queen bed, Mirit stated it was head board, foot board and side rails. Also the hammock frame Mirit claims it was 4 pieces when it was only three. A garden swing was broken down to 3 pieces (but yet the bundled them together. Also, the driver, Cesar from Mirit had the audacity to ask for a 10% tip! My complaint is against Mirit Great American who lost, broke and damaged some very expensive items due to their negligence. They packed a solid concrete statue and a cast iron birdbath. The bird bath was broken top sheered of from base and petals broken, the statue was chipped. To replace the bird bath would be approx $100 and the statue cost approx. $200. They they broke an antique arbor which would be approx $400 to replace (not that the exact same one could be replaced). They also los a bin - with zero intentions of looking for it. They bent/damaged a $25.00 art cart. For this they want to compensate me $43.80. The items in the tote were worth more than that!

      The price the moving company want to refund me want cover one piece of the furniture getting repaired or replace. To add insult to injury they want to pay 64.90 of 10 installments. I paid in full for pick up and delivery.(COD) Where is the justice? Delivery: Mirit - Great American Van Lines Inc. below average , considering every peace of furniture was ruined, frayed, torn and rubbed/drag to the frame, chipped crack broke which consist of; La-Z-Boy: Davenport Sofa/Couch electric, Chair Recliner electric, Love Seat, (3) Dresser/Chest of Draw one of them have marble top (2) Queen size beds with head and footboards, (4) drawers, two night stands, Dinning Table with (3) Bench covered with leatherette. The Total Settlement is $649.00 dollars in which CSI = Claims Service International the claim office conclusion is, 10 installments of $64.90. I could not pay 10 installments when they pick up my furniture and delivered and they wonder why there rating is an (F) and that is to high for the service that could not even be considered as poor.

      I’m missing boxes that was delivered to **** ******** **** ** in ****** **.***** from Newburgh,NY 12550 I’m missing 2tv mounts 2 comforter sets (bed in bag) queen set’s turquoise bath set,fish tank supplies and my glass broke to my china cabinet,I paid $3000 for the delivery then had to pay for a truck to deliver it at my house cause they couldn’t get a 18 wheeler in my complex at ****.*** ****** **. in ***** **** Texas ***** and I also have a box that doesn’t belong to me and I would like to be reimbursed for all my belongings that was distributed elsewhere

      Movers changed price for delivery after items were placed on truck. They added fees and expenses and would not unload until we paid.6/25 Price went up after truck was loaded and we were informed of a shuttle fee. Movers insisted on a large tip.We were told delivery of our items would be later than originally promised.On the bill of lading and there was no delivery date listed. We are paying per cubic foot and there was no final cubic footage used.7/4 belongings delivered. Standing sewing table missing and several items damaged.They did not start unpacking the truck and would not take our money. Once the police arrived, they accepted the money and started unloading.7/8 Contacted about sewing table. They sent a photo of the table and said they will have a truck in the area within a couple of weeks. They will deliver at that time. 7/15 left message on voice mail about missing table top. No return call.7/16 spoke with someone on the phone who said she would have ******************* her back. No return call.7/18 contacted movers about missing table top. ***** said we should thank him. We were not nice to his movers. They had to purchase water to drink because we were at a storage facility. ***** said it is just a board I am missing. It is not a big deal. Then ***** started insulting other peoples belongings that were also not delivered. When asked about a time to expect delivery of my sewing table top, ***** said he does not have a truck coming to IL anytime soon. I asked what happened to the truck he told my husband about. He said there was no space. I asked about a truck headed to ** because we are 5 minutes from the state line. ***** tried to convince me we live no where near *********. I asked when to expect my table top. He said he would call when he knew. I insisted he call by 7/18 and check-in. I let him know this is his business and responsibility.Lies were told and information was withheld until it was shared in their favor and at another cost to us.

      We have a receipt/contract with price totals that are off by more than $1,369. We are asking to be refunded the total amount that was added incorrectly and paid to them. The incorrect totals are on the receipt and they are incorrect by $1,369.65. 1,578.75 +1306.79+675.00+1200.00+775.00 should equal 5,536.34 on the contract their total came to 6,905.99. A difference of 1,369.65 I am filing this with my mother, who was the customer that was violated and stolen from, she’s 82 years old she was by her self when they came late in the evening , only because they called me and asked to come five days earlier than they were supposed to be there. We agreed to partner with them and allow them to come early, they rushed through that this contract. They knew she didn’t understand the numbers and added them incorrectly on purpose. I uploaded the contract with them Financial number so you can verify A refund is her goal, but we will add that they’re timeliness, irresponsible approach with handling her items as well as not able to contact the corporation, business and movers. She has called the business numerous times, you sit on hold for 10 minutes and then they hang up on you, this is happened 10 different times.

      Mover hired loaders from Craigs List, did not check any information and while my belongings were being loaded one or more of the loaders went thru our luggage and vehicles and stole guns, money and jewelry. Total of $3000.00 lost due to company carlessness or indifference Tried getting restitution from some company that you file issues with and got no where. Lost over $3000 worth of property these people stole and I feel my request for compensation is fair and just.

      On June 18, 2023, I contracted with Extra Space ***************** of *************, **, to move my household goods from ** to DE. They provided me a binding estimate of $1800. On July 20 a truck and crew arrived and loaded my goods. The mover's name on the bill of lading (#G744593) is Mirit Great American, of ***********, **. After loading the crew chief began to add additional charges based on his claim that my load was over double what Extra Space put on my contract. I immediately protested and called Extra Space to request their assistance in resolving this crisis, since it was incomprehensible to that their estimate could be off by so much (over 100%). They responded that there was nothing they could do and I would have to negotiate with the movers, or have my goods unloaded. I argued with the movers and ?***** agreed to pay an extra $700 to get the move done. Since I had no idea what the actual cubic footage was I could not effectively dispute the moving companys claims.On July 24 (3 days late) the movers arrived at my new address and unloaded my goods. During unloading I learned that my goods had been unloaded because the truck was needed for another job, and I saw on their paperwork that "500 CF" had been written on their copy (not mine). I concluded that this was my actual CF and not the ***** they had deceptively told me at origin. Had I known this I never would have agreed to pay the additional $700. I submitted claims to both the broker and movers but have received no satisfaction. I also researched the movers and learned that their ** license was expired, the ** DOT and MC #'s they show are those of another company ***************************************************** their BBB rating is F, and their customer review rating is 1.52 out of 5. Obviously, the broker failed in their primary responsibility of contracting with a reputable ?rm, and then of advocating, in accordance with para 4 of the contract, on my behalf with the mover to obtain a satisfactory resolution.

      I signed a contract with Extra Space Moving and *************** in June for a job scheduled for end of July from ****** ** to **** *****. My ************ estimate was $2329.75 of which I paid $1326 to secure my contract.About 1 week from when my things are supposed to get picked up, I received a phone call from ESMS to review my contract and list of items. I repeated everything from the original phone call, however, this time the person said some items were left out and I need to now pay an additional $600. Before getting off the phone we processed payment for the $600.On July 27th which was the first day my things were going to be picked up, I contacted the company since they were running late only to be told the truck had to leave because it was too big to fit the loading dock at the Uhaul where my things were. We ended up rescheduling for the next day 7/28 between ****am. Around noon, I called to get an update since the driver was not there but this time they told me the truck broke down and theyll be there 4-5p. They ended up showing up at 8pm which then now was too late since it was after hrs and the sliding doors are locked. We now had to reschedule for the next morning 7/29.When the driver came, he was astonished after seeing all I had because he was told this was a small job. He proceeded to tell its going to cost me twice if not more of the cost to move my things. 8hrs later my things are on the truck and I paid a total of $2346 ($350 cash went to his own pocket) just that day.3 weeks later, I finally receive a call that my things will be delivered to me. When the guy came he demanded I pay my balance of $1597 before he can unload the truck. I tried asking if I can pay after getting my things off the truck he said no so I paid the balance.Now Im stuck with missing box springs and queen size mattress, a broken dining room table, and some other broken items that they are refusing to help resolve.Customer service is the worst. They are very rude and condescending. Not professional at all.

      I had personal items picked up by the company on 12/7/2022. They did not inform me that I had to wait 30 days for delivery. In our subsequent conversation (after a week not hearing from them), I was told the company had 14 business days to deliver the items. Today, 19 days after pickup, the company called to say they would not deliver the items until next week, Wednesday, 1/4/2023. In the same conversation with the customer representative today, I was told they were under no obligation to state a delivery date unless I asked them at the time of pickup, and that they could legally keep my items for 30 days within the ***** delivery window. They have no obligation to deliver earlier. Along with this, the customer rep was rude and disrespectful. Had they informed me that they were storing my items for almost a month, I would have found an alternate way to have my items shipped. Needless to say, this company should not be doing business with consumers.
