      When I called, the sales manager told me that they do not sell to customers who live out of their ******************************************************* this category are economically disadvantaged because these customers can not pay the mark up price of vehicles they sell.

      Summary: Very poor service Not responsive and unwilling to communicate the status.Unable to maintain the callback number Delays or not working at all on my repair car for NJM ....---------------------------------------------------------------------------- For an NJM Claim, we went to Toyota of Princeton -> Estimate for work done was in May: 2 or 3 days --> Date when we first went to Team Princeton : We scheduled an appointment on 6th July 2022 and since then they have our car, we are renewing our rentals and they refuse to communicate status by themselves._Repeated follows and callbacks Now we know that they work only a daily work window **** hours no work on weekends.- Also they ordered parts that took one week time. ( no upfront feedback/ status communication)Today again I called and now she says she cannot tell me when the car can be ready.....Again, I do not trust them and they are not honest and upfront. Most important they do not want to help customers....

      I am a 65 year old retiree and Team Toyota Lawrenceville service department tried to sell me a very expensive repair my vehicle did not need. I purchased my 2013 Toyota Tundra from Team Toyota as a certified used vehicle and have been taking it to them for routine service for several years. I was pleased with past service visits but I am extremely disappointed with the dishonesty they displayed at my last. I booked my vehicle for fluid changes and a front end alignment. After waiting an hour, the service manager came out to tell me they could not do the alignment because there was damage to the tie rod ends making it impossible to loosen them for adjustment. He went further to state that the damage made it impossible to remove them from the steering rack and that I needed a new rack and pinion assembly and new tie rod ends. The cost of that repair was estimated at more than $2400. I am a very experienced mechanic. I told the service manager I would look at this myself and if a replacement rack and pinion unit was needed, I would get a used or rebuilt one and install it myself. I inspected the tie rod ends when I got home and there was nothing wrong with them other than a lot of surface rust on the threads and a torn rubber boot. I soaked the threads with penetrating oil and took my truck to an independent shop where I purchased new tires and had them perform the alignment with no problems. If I did not have the mechanical experience to question the truth of what the service department told me, I could have spent a large amount of money on a repair that was not needed. As a senior citizen, this is extremely troubling. It makes me wonder how many seniors they take advantage of by lying to them about repairs they don't need and don't have the knowledge and experience to question and verify. I will not be doing business with Team Toyota Lawrenceville in the future and I hope this complaint prevents some seniors from being ripped off in the future.
