I purchased a vehicle from this dealership in the end of July. I provided VIN inspection 9/13, I paid my overdue taxes and the hold was lifted on 10/10. The dealership (salesman *****, specifically) was notified of this information. The financier has not received the title for the vehicle as of today 11/4/24. I CANNOT GET MY REGISTRATION BECAUSE THIS DEALERSHIP DOES NOT DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO.Business response

The delay was caused due to customer not having a RI inspection, once inspection was received on 9/25/2024 we submitted the paperwork to the **** About a week later, the paperwork was rejected as there were outstanding unpaid taxes which the customer later took care of. That is when we were able to proceed and conclude her DMV registration.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, RI inspection was submitted late. yes, taxes were owed. I was notified via TEXT MESSAGE about delinquent taxes. Taxes were paid the same day I was notified of taxes due. The dealership was notified that taxes were paid same day. I placed multiple phone calls to the dealership and either no one ever answered the phone or I was on hold for extended periods of time and still never reached anyone, different days, different times, same result. I finally called the loan company to see if I could get the title for the vehicle so I could get the registration myself and the loan company also did not have the title because the dealership had not provided it to them.This complaint doesnt even consider the $4000 New Jersey fee that the salesman tried to tack onto the price advertised to the vehicle. The New Jersey fee being any amount we say it is direct words from *****, the salesman.
Bottom line, this dealership was absolutely disgusting to work with and I would NEVER send anyone to them.

Bought a VW beetle on 4/28. East auto dont send in the paperwork til 5/10 for the registration. Then there was an issue with the title and no one will answer any calls or return any calls with any answer. Over 2 months and no plates and no registration and the bank doesnt have the title. We are afraid of losing the car after putting a down payment and making monthly loan payments. We cant drive the car because the temporary plates expired on 5/28Business response

We sincerely regret that ********************************* took longer than expected; there was an n issue with her DMV/Title. However, we did resolve and completed her DMV process. She picked up for plates/DMV on the 19th of July.

I bought the car almost a year ago. ECAS were supposed to register it for me. I have gotten nothing but excuse after excuse from them. I now have a car that I can do nothing with, sitting in my driveway for almost a year.Business response

****************** failed to provide the inspection report for her vehicle which is required from her state in order to complete the *** process. Upon several attempts of contacting her we were told that she was ill and unable to provide thus East Coast having to do a title only for lien purposes to satisfy her financing bank. After almost one year she finally provided us with the required documentation which allowed us to move forward with processing. However, the process now took double the amount of time due to the title only and waiting for the bank to release for *** purposes. ****************** did receive her *** earlier this month.

On June 16,2023 I purchased a 2021 Audi from East Coast. On the way home I discovered the air conditioning did not work. I brought it back to them they ask me to wait for 3 days. The 3rd day they said I could come get the car it was ready. I got there about 6pm the time they told me to come get the car when I got there the car was ready. I took the car told them I would take it to a mechanic near my home, but he couldn't fix it. The where rude saying stop calling give them time. Sometimes they wouldn't even answer the phone. I am asking them to please give my money back with your help.Business response

********************* and ************************* purchased a 2011 Audi A8 on June 24th from us. They purchased the vehicle AS IS. Customer did have a complaint of the ** not working correctly. In good faith we allowed them to bring the car back for repair even though we did not have to fix. Due to certain parts not being readily available and time of repair it was going to take a few days. ************** called several times a day during the time and was extremely rude on more than one occasion; however, we always treated her with respect. On July 21st while her vehicle was being repaired ************** caused a scene at our service department and threatened many employees to the point we had to call the police and have written complaints which we have attached. We asked her not to come back after this event. Her husband was very understanding and felt bad and we agreed to help him with a diagnostic at another repair facility since we could not have her back due to the safety of our staff. Please see the attached repair order, we owe nothing form, as is paper work along with all the witnesses statements of the incident she caused.Initial Complaint

I was sold a car with an interest of 23%. i was given a vehicle with substantial issues such as mechanical issues, engine issues, etc. My daughter was almost involved in an accident when the vehicle shut down on the highway.Business response

Rates are given to customers from various bank institutions after evaluation of credit history. This rate was given to the customer from **************** not **********************. The vehicle was purchased back on 5/23/22 and had a 30-Day and/or ***** mile warranty which ever came first and passed state inspection on 6/16/22. We will not be able to give *********************** a refund; however, we have no problem trading her out of the vehicle and selling her a new pre-owned vehicle or buying her vehicle for its current fair market value.Customer response

I purchased a 2015 Cadillac XTS-L from East Coast Auto Group on 29 July 2022. As I was getting on the highway I noticed the radio was unresponsive. After the hour long trip back to Queens, I pulled over and performed a "hard reset" which temporarily fixed the problem after about 5 attempts, which required me to shut the car off an on. After 2 minutes it was not functional once again. I notified the salesman 5 minutes after leaving the lot via text message. Ever since then to date I have either been ignored or told what I want to hear and then ignored again. I paid $7,000 of the total cost $22,000, which was all of my savings. There are also many vehicle functions that are accessed only through the radio. This is a major part of the vehicle.Business response

Mr.***********;******** did contact us regarding the repair of the radio on the 2015 Cadillac XTS that he purchased. The vehicle was sold "AS IS". However, we did agree to fix that radio after he expressed the issue to us. We told him that he could bring the vehicle back to us in order to fix the issue. However, he preferred to bring the vehicle to a local Cadillac dealer which was scheduled a few weeks out since most service department are very behind in appointments. We were able to get him the next available appointment with a dealer local to him which he is aware of. If there are any issue with his appointment he can feel free to contact me direct at ************ and I'll be more than happy to assist him through the process until the radio is fixed.
