My husband and I purchased 2 Kinekt gear rings as wedding bands nearly 12 years ago. At the time, the rings were advertised as having a "lifetime warranty" (no caveats) to be repaired or replaced. We purchased these rings because of the intriguing design but also because my husband is in construction and can be hard on jewelry. Over the years, we have had his ring replaced 3 times. The first 2 times were no questions asked. The 3rd time we were nearly bullied into purchasing a new ring, but then the company relented and honored its warranty, sending out a repaired version, or a replacement thereof, for a $20 shipping cost, as per their repair form. I have been requesting another repair/replacement for the past few months, only to be met with a nasty owner/co-founder response that states he discontinued the lifetime warranty and offering me various discounts to purchase a new ring, since he no longer has a "bench jeweler" who can do repairs. Per the repair form, I mailed in my husband's wedding band and a $20 check to cover shipping. This individual, Glen L. emailed me that he tore up my check because it did not cover the cost of a new ring. At this point, he has my husband's wedding band and is no longer responding to my messages, either by email or via their website contact form. I feel this company used a bait and switch to get customers to purchase their item but, after realizing the expense of upholding their lifetime warranty, changed their mind about honoring it. I have to wonder how many other customers have been cheated by their lack of integrity. At this point, I would be satisfied with a replacement ring and to never do any future business with this company. I would also like an apology for being called "spoiled and vindictive" for simply asking this company to withhold the standards that They Set and because of which, We Purchased.Initial Complaint

I purchased a ring from Kinekt Design in a US size 9, I had my finger professionally sized before placing this order. The ring arrived and it was so incredibly small, about a size 4 US. Smaller than my wife’s ring who wears a size 5 US. I contacted the merchant and he said “I’d gladly send you another ring for another $100.00, and that he was short staffed and that we practically stole from him since our money was worth nothing and he would not be refunding.” He then proceeded to say “the BBB can’t do anything about it and good luck trying” after I stated I would be reporting him. I’ve never seen anything like it before and hope you all can shut this scammer down!Initial Complaint

Kinekt Design ran a promotion via email for a 3-piece set at a limited-time price. I ordered and paid for the set, but I never received a receipt, order number, or the items themselves. Despite emailing the company numerous times, I was only told that the items were back-ordered. Each time I asked when the set would be back in stock, I received a different, unconvincing excuse. It feels like classic clickbait. Additionally, I ordered a ring in size 8 and requested it be shipped with the 3-piece set to avoid paying extra shipping charges. Despite this, they sent the ring separately, and worse, they sent me the wrong size—a size 9. I sent a photo comparing it to my other rings from the same company to show the size difference. Instead of correcting the mistake, they informed me that all sales are final, but offered to sell me another ring at twice the original price plus shipping. I emailed again, requesting a refund for both the incorrect ring and the 3-piece set that I never received, but I’ve received no resolution. I’ve wasted so much time and money trying to support a small business that I now believe is fraudulent. My husband and I have purchased eight items from this owner, and every interaction has been frustrating. I have two other similar stories about this company, but I’ll stick with this one for now. It’s clear they are scamming customers by taking money without delivering products or sending incorrect items and then hiding behind a “no refunds” policy.Initial Complaint

On July 20th 2024 I placed an order (I have made several ordered in the past from Glenn & his company) for a Propeller Ring. Order # ***** On July 30th I emailed **** enquiring about my shipment as I had paid for shipping that stated 5 to 6 business days and the tracking that was provided showed my order as "placed" but not shipped yet. ****/Kinekt replied promptly apologizing for the delay stating he was "absolutely slammed" with orders and would get my order shipped as soon as possible. I replied to **** " no problem.... no rush.. totally understand. Thank you for your prompt reply" I waited until Aug 18th and emailed ****/Kinekt again to enquire about the status of my pre paid order. **** promptly replied that he was unable to fulfill the order & issued a gift card and to check my inbox. I immediately emailed **** back stating a gift card was of no use if he did not have what I order and was not making it any more and further asked him what inbox as I have NO INBOX with Kindkt and never saw or received any gift card nor has **** replied back to me. I asked **** to issue a full refund to my credit card. I have since sent several emails through his website and through the **** site he uses for shipping. All emails have not been replied to. **** has always replied very promptly in the past. I have also replied to his emailed with no response. If he is unable to fulfill the contract and supply me with the item ordered then he must issue a full refund for the product & shipping for a total of $98.00 I am going through the BBB giving **** & Kinekt an opportunity to make right a poor decision on it's part and poor business ethics not to mention customer service.Initial Complaint

Both my husband and I have rings from Kinekt Design. In May 2023 Kinekt sent out an email basically saying "Going Out of Business, Get it Now if You Want It" so i ordered a **uple pieces. I placed this order December 7, 2023.To date, I do not have product. This was his response to me: On May 14, 2024, at 4:17PM, Kinekt Design <****************************> wrote:Hi *****,I'm not going out of business. That was just a bit of fun. However, manufacturing is running behind schedule. Everything has been much slower since 2020.The good news is that the Kinektor and K-chain are **ming.. slowly, but surely. We purchased a “Time Machine” in Nov of 2022 and still have no received it. After reaching out repeatedly (timeline below) over a year and a half we are still told it is “in production”. After reading other reviews here and other sites I’m fairly certain we will never see this clock. Despite the website listing them as “in stock”. - We first reached out in May of 2023 to check on the status of our order and were told it was “in production”. - We checked in a second time in August of 2023, and received the same answer. - A third time in September of 2023, without a response. - A fourth and fifth time in October, after seeing on the website that the clocks are “in stock”. - A sixth time in November and were told the clock would be ready in January or February of 2024. We were charged $790 for a product that has not been completed after nearly a year and a half and that is unacceptable. Especially when the website stated the clock is “in stock” and is now only $325. (When I brought this to the owner’s attention, he changed the price on the website to $1,250 and told me I got a good deal. I placed an order with Kinekt Design LLC on January 20, 2023, for a total of $536.50, which included a Kamsa bracelet, a propeller ring, and a ****** ring under order number *****. Despite assurances of a delivery timeframe within a few months, there has been a significant delay in the fulfillment of my order, extending beyond a year without any communication from the company regarding the status of my order. In light of this extended delay, I requested the cancellation of my order on January 1, ****. *************************, the owner of Kinekt Design LLC, agreed to this cancellation. However, subsequently, he refused to issue a refund for the canceled order, advising me instead to dispute the charge with my bank, a direction that not only complicates the resolution process but also fails to adhere to basic customer service and refund policies typically expected in e-commerce transactions.This refusal to refund, coupled with a complete lack of communication regarding the extended production delays and a post-purchase change in the companys refund and exchange policy without notification, constitutes a breach of trust and fair dealing. The situation is further exacerbated by ****************** failure to provide updates on the production of new items offered for preorder, as was the expectation set at the time of purchase. These actions by Kinekt Design LLC and ************************* not only undermine consumer confidence but also violate principles of transparency and accountability, essential for fair commerce. As such, I am seeking the BBBs assistance in mediating this dispute to secure a full refund of $536.50 for my unfulfilled order. I made an online purchase for a product almost a year ago named Propeller Ring. The company later stated the purchase was a preorder and that it wasnt in production yet. After some time passes with no updates I inquire as to status and the response was that it was going to be in production soon. Meanwhile I make a deal for an item called clickclack and per company the device is available. After both items have been paid for, no items are received by myself and attempts to communicate with company are met with impatience as owner routinely sends out emails and notifications expressing his dissatisfaction with customers inquiring about the status of their purchases and expectations that customers have that he doesnt feel are realistic. After waiting months for products and having to email them for status updates I ask for a refund and the owner refuses to give one stating it is against his policy. Meanwhile, I have spent money and am not receiving the products and that is happening with no updates as to why and now the owner is stating my attitude is the reason why he is ignoring my requests for communication. Apparently customers are not allowed to express dissatisfaction with the business practices and communication of Kinekt Design without incurring the wrath of the owner. I just want my money back and for the BBB to look into whether other people are having issues receiving the products they have purchased from this company and with no communication?Initial Complaint

About 8 months ago made a purchase from the website for a Kinecktor. I have yet to receive it.About a month ago I received an email that the company was looking to build a two tone ****** gear ring with a deposit of $100. About 2-3 weeks later received an email that stating there was not enough interest to make the rings.I asked for my money back and was told no, but to use the credit to purchase something else. I then said that wasn't right and would like all my money back (for the Kinecktor and the down payment for the gear ring). I was told that the Kinecktor was in development (I should have read the find print on the website) and I will get it when I get it.I have made both purchases in good faith. I have doubts that the Kinecktor will be made and a deposit on a product that got canceled should be returned.
