Motortrans had my vehicle for an unreasonable and unfair amount of time to fix a minor problem. They had my vehicle for 22 days. They refused to give me a loaner car and I had to rent a car for many days. My rental car **** was $708 through Enterprise.Motortrans made no effort resolve the issue.Motortrans 380 Route 73 North Marlton **********. #************.Business response

In response to ******* complaint, The time frame issue was beyond our control ****************** had supply chain issues due to covid, We had to wait for parts We apologize about the time frame but we were very transparent from day one this was not a minor repair, We updated him as we were updated and got the job done as quickly as we could, Unfortunately we are not responsible for time lost as per our warranty States.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The name of the company is MotorTrans. They are wrongly blaming Covid and **** for the 22 days they had my vehicle. The parts they ordered from **** did not take that long to get. They told me so when I called during the first 2 weeks they had my car.Not sure the parts they ordered were even needed as they told me they didn't find the real problem,a pressure leak, until about the 17th day they had my car. They said they found the problem ONLY AFTER they took the whole transmission out. Blaming **** and Covid is just lame. They were incompetent in taking so long to find the problem.I understood their policy beforehand of not giving loaner cars or paying the customers rental car **** but 22 days is an unreasonable amount of time to keep a customers vehicle.A "family owned business" should do the right thing for their customers.

Supply chain problems were a major part of this delay, We did the best that we could do under the circumstances, Again we apologize for the time frame but it was beyond our control, Transmission repair is it's not like putting brakes on a car it takes much longer when you have internal components to deal with If the customer wants to contact the office he is welcome too I would be glad to talk to him.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:I talked to MotorTrans,NOT MARLTON TRANSMISSION,MotorTrans almost every other day while they had my car and the parts they said they needed ? They TOLD me it did not take that long to get them.At no time did they tell me there was a long wait for the parts. The bottom line is that it took them 17 days just to find the problem. 17 days. Then they fixed the problem.I know it takes longer to fix a transmission than brakes but 22 days was an UNREASONABLE amount of time for me not to have a vehicle.
