    I have a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe. The replacement engine has seized and so I took it to Maguire Hyundai in Ithaca NY (dealership). I dropped the car off on December 13th 2024 and it’s been there since. They said in a couple days they would send pictures to Hyundai Corporate and wait for their response. I have a case manager and she was to call me when they diagnosed the car. Several times I called the dealership as well as my case manager and it was excuse after excuse to why they haven’t took pictures of my engine and sent it out to Hyundai corporate. They said there down to a couple technicians at the dealership and they will get to it the next day, yet it was after Christmas by the time they sent pics out. I then waited for my case manager to call with good news cause I already know my 2.0T engine had a lifetime replacement due to the class action law suit for the motor. This is my 2nd engine (1st one failed at 60,000 miles) The 1st week of January I get a call from my case manager saying that corporate needs more pics but this time of the rocker’s in the engine. So the dealership took pics of my rocker’s and sent them in on the 20th (again they were short technicians to do it weeks before.) I called them and they said I needed a new engine and that they have to wait for approval. The 28th I get call from my case manager saying that Hyundai will offer 50% cost and I said NO! There a lifetime warranty because of the engines. I asked her to please talk to corporate and explain to them that I’m without a car and waiting for approval so they can at least get me in a loaner or rental while my engine gets replaced. Today on January 30th she called me back and said she reached out to the dealership and they stated that Hyundai will go up to 65%. I feel this is absolutely ridiculous and that they’re not honoring the lifetime warranty. I know the dealership has had 3 different ownerships over 7 years. I ask that BBB please jump in cause I feel alone and betrayed.

    Already sent all the information and everything I'm just waiting on a reply I've asked for a refund for this car and no one is helping when I was trying to get it fixed they denied that but I've sent you all the necessary paperwork I just want refunded for this car so I can get my bank paid off for it and get another one and Hyundai can have this car back.. I got this car about the time COVID hit and there was no way to get the oil changes stuff so they're making it look like I neglected the car which I didn't I just had to have friends change the oil because everybody was closed.. I just want a refund for the car so I can get something else. I'm a single mom I'm going without a car right now I got to get to work somehow and I've been having to ask people to help me I don't like that I just want them to refund me for the car so I can get something else.

    This is obviously a complaint to Hyundai Corporate and not the dealership. The dealership has no fault or cause for action in this case.

    I have had the car to the dealer numerous times in the past year ***** excessive amounts of oil it makes a ticking sound I've had to replace the catalytic convertor spark plugs the car smokes I constantly have to add oil and am told there's nothing that can be done until the engine blows up I have a service appointment in the morning because it isn't driving like it should it did the same thing 5 months ago when I had to replace the converter I have only had the car a year

    I was sold a car and told and under the impression car was covered for 10 yr 100k powertrain warranty by the sales person day I bought it I have had car for few yrs now today at 92k miles I had engine failure witch after being told Im not under warranty I was lied to and mislead to purchase car under false pretense! So Im told they will not honor their warranty and fix their faulty product that thousands of ppl seem to have same issues with the 3.3 motors needs be a class action lawsuit on this company selling faulty products like this its unsafe and unethical. I was a loyal customer and planned on continuing purchasing till this event we cant let this continue to happen we need to act and make them accountable

    Buying a new car. We went to several car dealers to look at cars. They were all priced way to high. Went back a second time to action Hyundia in *********, **.the car I wanted was sold earlier that day. So, the salesperson picked a car and had me drive it. He didn't show me any other cars. there were 3 different prices on the car. The Suggested manager's price. Then it had stuff added to it a safety kit for 60 dollars a net for in the hatch and some other things. then it had a paper saying cars are marked up ****. dollar due to the cost of everything like a cost of living. that last price was ******. +.I told the salesperson I would buy the car, but I am not paying the ******. +. So, he says what if I make this disappear. OK let's make it disappear. I kept asking what the bottom line on the price was. I never got an answer until the paperwork. As we were going in to start the paperwork the salesperson said ******* is also offering a match your down payment up to *****. dollars. I thought great, So I am getting the middle price on the sticker. Then get an extra *****. dollars to put toward my down payment which was ******. dollars. and 750. rebate. That will make *****. dollars for my down payment. I was looking at the prices he had down, and I kept asking when does the *****. come off. 3 to 5 times. I still didn't see it anywhere on the papers. Finally, he said you got the ****. it was off the ******. + which made it the price. Anyway, I bought the car got home went over the papers. the price was so high after my downpayment and the ****. and the 750. I asked if I didn't like the car can I bring it back He said NO! They advertised matching up to ****. they marked all their cars up ****. They made me believe I was getting the extra ****. off I was told the salesperson was making the extra cost to the car disappear. that's how he got the price down. I was never told that. They lied to me. and put extra Maintenace on of 850. It was 3 dollars for 3 years they marked price up, they really weren't matching anything. false.

    On 3/18/23 my 2022 hybrid Hyundai Tucson was towed into the dealership after the engine light was on and the car was not accelerating properly. On 3/20/23 I picked up my vehicle and had to drop it back off when the engine light turned back on. I was given a loaner to use and was told it should be ready to be picked up on Wednesday at the latest. I called the dealership that Wednesday (3/22/23) and was told that it should be ready by the latest Friday. Friday 3/24/23 I heard nothing until 2:59pm when I was told that the engine light had turned off and they had to drive it to get it to turn back on and while the tech was driving someone ran a stop sign and my car was clipped. Saturday I located my vehicle and saw that the vehicle was more than clipped. The right front was completely damaged. On 3/27/23 ******** ************ sent me report and I found out that the accident occured at 11:36am and it was the tech driving my vehicle that ran a stop sign. I was told by the dealership that their insurance is covering it. They told me that I could trade in my vehicle but since the car already had a problem with it that it would effect trade in most likely. I spoke of my concern with the accident effecting trade in. Service manager told me to trade it in before the accident shows on a carfax report. I said that is not legal. It has been a month since my car has been out of my hands. The autobody shop told me on 4/19/2023 that they are unsure what is going on with the insurance and the vehicle and the dealership has not worked on resolving their mistake.

    I have spoke with the complainant and addressed the timeline of events. The insurance company has been notified that we need an immediate response to this matter and that nearly a month has passed, which in unacceptable. We hope to have a resolution to this matter within the next week.
