This company filed a wage execution against me for a debt from 2015. I was not aware that this debt was outstanding and have no information to support their claim. I am retired and on Social Security. I offered to pay $25 per month since I cannot afford anything more but this was not acceptable to them. They would accept $25 per month for 3 months but then said I must increase payments after that. I explained that I will not be getting any additional Social Security payments and this is the most that I can afford. They are not willing to work with me to get this debt paid nor have they provided evidence of the debt.Business response

I am rejecting this response because I am retired and now collecting Social Security as my sole source of income. I do not own a home or a car and am now renting a room that I can barely afford. I offered to pay $25 per month but cannot afford any more than that. The law firm is unwilling to accept this offer but it is the best that I can do at the present time.Regards,

My wages have been garnished for a vehicle i co signed for over 15 years ago. My ex wife had the vehicle given back to the dealership In turn sold the vehicle to another dealership. This **** collection Lyons and Doughty has purchased the debt and now is taking weekly payments out of my checks from a court order the strawman in question was never properly served nor justly tried and questioned about this debt owed by the strawman *********************** claim he *********************** owe $4,766.24 to them which HE never had any contract with them EVER. This debt was illegally purchased and its over ******************************************** getting just do justice against them for unethical practices. This debt is way past statue of limitations guide lines for such debt. This isn't a State or federal debt its an outdated autoloan that i was unaware of until March 22, 2024 when my pay was being garnished wages. Whom shall i report this matter to also where can i *** this company in what court. They have many requests through emails and phone messages to return a phone call which they haven't and do not respond. BBB is here to help right? If not whats this service for if its not to provide proper protection for those who seek the service iam seeking a discontinuation and full refund of monies that was illegally stolenBusiness response

They present themselves as a debt collector for ************ I believe they reached out to me for an old cc at the beginning of my chemo therapy. The woman I spoke to said they would put it on hold January 2022 and circle back to me. Clearly, chemotherapy treatments take long. I haven't been contacted since. They filed a wage garnishment 2 yrs later. I had no notice to appear, no contact. It seems a new aggressive agent maybe took over the account. I called and the response was scripted. The operated admitted yes there was a hold. So why did this happen? She said they called, I barely remember again an agent as I'm in the hospital. Telling them of my situation. Talk about ghoulish behavior. Again, I told them I spoke with someone Jan 2022 it was on hold. This is God awful behavior. I literally at one point couldn't walk, could barely see. It was on hold.Business response

Law firm keeps filing extensions and harassing my family when i am homeless and living in a shelter or prison, they keep filing extensions when they know they cant attach social security disability and are trying to draw things out.If they wont adhere by the fair credit reporting and collection act I will *** them in returnBusiness response

Illegally garnishment of my wages on a debt that was out of the statue of limitations. Further more they claim my husband signed papers me being sued. This is a lie because he works 4pm -12am and according to them he signed them at 7:33pm. He was at work. So therefore I didn't even know I was being sued. They agreed on Oct 6th to lower the garnishment percent however they failed to do so. I really should be reimbursed completely because the debt is 7 yrs old and they somehow manipulated the courts in believing it was less than 3 yrs old. When I asked about this they stated this is irrelevant!!Business response

I am contacting you because this company is fraudulently garnishing me for a debt that I have already been garnished for and paid off in December 2022. I was paying that garnishment since 2014 . So now they are garnishing me again with the same case Id and I was not notified by the company nor my employer. I am beginning to question the first garnishment now that I think about it. This a law firm collection agency and this complaint is long overdue. I've been having issues with them ever since they got my account from the credit card company. On July 5th I emailed *************************** asking for a letter from one of the lawyers stating that my account is "on temporary hold due to me moving out of state and their lawyers not being licensed in the new state." This was the words from the call center girl directly when I spoke to her a week or two earlier. I received no email response from ***************************. Then there was a voicemail for me to call the collection agency law firm. I did. They had nothing new to share. I told them that I requested a letter stating that no money was owed anymore on my account, same info shared above. I was told by ***** that ********* had emailed me back what I requested and that I should check my email. This is their usual m.o. They send you around in circles and gaslight you. I told her I received no email. She told me to check spam. Same deal, round and round. I told her to resend the email. She said they don't work like that. I told her to have ********* resend it. I told her I would wait on the phone until I received the email. Again, she said they can't do that. Round and round, nonsense with this shady company. I told her I wanted to speak to *********. She said I couldn't. ********* was on the phone (This is the usual response. ********* is never available nor does she get back. ********* has no superior so nothing ever gets resolved.) She puts on another girl that tells me the same thing verbatim that the call center lady just told me for the last 20+ mins. As usual, we're getting no where. A simple request still hasn't been fulfilled. This time the girl tells me she needs to get a lawyer to sign the letter, etc. What happened to the original reply that ********* supposedly sent me? It's now July 13th and still no letter. I want my letter. This company is completely out of integrity and abusive with no supervisionBusiness response

I specifically asked for this letter to be sent to my email address and mailed to me. This is the whole issue. It's a simple request that we are constantly in circles about and then nothing is received.

This company keeps harassing me to pay back that I didn't use any credit card. They sent me 5 pages, including filling out complex documents and asking me to do it. they Keep harassing me even though I've already explained enough. please, take steps not to do this to them.
