Pinata opened an account WITHOUT my permission in August of 2024, it showed up on my credit report in February 2025 and dropped my credit score. I contacted them repeatedly and asked them to remove themselves from my credit report as I did not ever agree to sign up for their service. I was signed up using my Property Managers credentials. They finally came off my credit report a month later. At the time They were listed on my credit report as Pinata Rent, Now they have opened an account AGAIN in my name as Pinata Global, Inc. Which shows on my credit report that I opened a new account which dropped my credit score AGAIN. I can see from other such complaints this is a common issue, accounts being opened without the consumers knowledge or authorization. Of course there is no way to contact them and speak to a real person. There should be some legal ramifications to opening and account without someone's express written consent or authorization. Property Managers should be held accountable also for giving PPI to a company to open said account.

Piñata has reported my rent payment to the credit bureaus with me ever providing my explicit consent (I was auto enrolled through my property management company). I immediately asked Piñata to unroll me from credit reporting and delete my entire account and information. While I was eventually unrolled from Credit reporting, my account and personal data has not been deleted, even though I have been requesting repeatedly for over 5.5 months (email thread attached). Piñata representatives always manage to come up with non-plausible excuses or irrelevant information. I would like to have my credit report corrected, with the removal of the previously reported data, and the complete deletion of my account and personal data. Please assist, communicating with Piñata has been super frustrating and I am not really sure what to do at this point.

My rent is not reported as the company states they would. It’s been 2 years and now I have a representative named Ethan who said area I need to SEND MY ENTIRE PERSONAL CREDIT REPORT to show that they are not reporting it. I sent in the response from Equifax that was reported to the CPFB. He states that not enough. I also sent in Experian showing 1 REPORTING IN TWO YEARS . I am not sure of anyone who would send anyone a full copy of their credit report . The concerns was why was it not reporting and the excuse was that it should show PIÑATA NOT JWB, neither show at all . Instead of resolving the issue there has been 3 weeks worth of emails. Also please note the his has happened before and I was told it would be fixed.

My landlord gave my information to Piñata AI, which now posts my on-time rent to my credit report monthly. My credit is excellent and I always pay my rent on time. However, I never gave my property management company permission to share my information with Piñata. The account was opened in my name without my permission. Piñata Refuses to close the account, despite my notifying them in writing that it was open without my permission and that I want it closed. Since my information was shared with this company, I have had several attempts of identity theft, and several attempts to open accounts in my name. I just want this company to delete my user information and close any account associated with me, but they refuse to do so. I did not sign up for this account. I did not give my landlord permission to enroll me, and I do not give Piñata Permission to utilize my information or to open an account in my name.

Back in January 2024 I was a victim of Identity Thief. After a recent review of my credit report, I found a lease account with Pinata Rent was opened in my name as of January 27, 2024. As of August 2024 this account has began reporting to my credit report. Attached is the details from Transunion. I have been unable to get anyone on the phone with this company, and the number provided to the bureau ###-###-#### is no longer in service. I would like to get the account closed asap. And be provided with what details were used to open this account. Finally having this account removed from my credit as soon as possible. Says they have been making payments in the amount of $4,419 to this account for the last 3 Months, so should not be this hard to tract down the hacker.

****** **** opened up a credit account in my name unprompted. While my new apartment complex does provide an option for credit reporting based on ****al payments, it is with an entirely diffe**** reporting company. I received an alert that this ****** **** account was opened in my name despite the fact that my complex uses a completely diffe**** service. ****** **** has a nearly impossible customer service option for closing said account.

I would like to report the unauthorized account and request its removal from my credit report. I never signed up for Piñata Rent or rewards program. This has dropped my credit score. The Rental Property i rent from is ********** *****. The company also doesn’t provide a number to speak with a live agent. I’ve submitted my request to their email in told I would receive a reply within a hour. I never received any response.

I have been paying $14 a month for Piata to report my rent since February of 2023 and Piata has yet to report any of my, timely, rent payments to the credit bureaus. There is no customer support contact available either, their only form of communication is with a chat box named ***, who finally got sick of me and basically told me to kick rocks.
