      I am writing to complain about the maintenance of Franklin memorial park cemetery. My 9 year old nephew and his 9 year cousin ************************* and ***************** were buried 2 years ago. Their grave marker was installed roughly 10 months ago. Everything has been okay except the past 5 months Im assuming what looks to be a new burial disturbed my nephews grave marker. There are wheel barrel marks that are about 2 ft deep all around them. They also carelessly ran over the grave stones and now they are slanted and half way buried underground. We have called multiple times and spoke to a sweet older lady that is trying her best to help us but nothing is being done. This is very disrespectful and rude for maintenance workers to do this and not fix the issues immediately if it was done by accident. For this to be the same after 5 months and several complaints is unacceptable. Im heart broken by the passing of my nephew and his cousin and have to look their grave stone half way buried into the ground. Im asking that they please fix this ASAP. I noticed other new recent burials today so there is no excuse for them not to fix what they have done. They should be ashamed of themselves. I will never lay to rest any friend or family member in this poorly ran cemetery.

      We are well aware of this complaint as the family has visited our office and the site with our workers. This is a cemetery and during wet times especially the winter months when we need to open ****** it can cause damage to the turf and existing grave sites. Once the grounds dry out we will be able tend damage caused during the winter. We have many, many ****** to tend that were opened this winter. As you know this has been a very rainy spring so far. We just opened 6 ****** in the last 3 days and even though we take precautions such as laying down plywood for the trucks and backhoes to drive on some damage cannot be avoided and must be dealt with every spring. We ask for families to understand this especially this time of year. The grave site *** not get back to "normal" until we can fix damage, add top soil then plant new grass seed.  When we opened this families grave for them if it was during wet weather we very well *** have damaged other families ****** at that time. Most families understand that this is a cemetery and there is nothing to be done but repair any damage that is caused when can access the grounds without causing more.
