STOLE MY MONEY AND MAKE YOU WRITE A GOOD REVIEW ****** told me and my family we would get a discount if we write a good review. This is why his ratings are so good. Not because of the service. The only question he asked was how we plan on paying him. After he got his money, we were rushed out after being told he has other clients. We were supposed to get a direct deposit which he also didnt do, my parents had their checks mailed. I paid him $189 just for my taxes. Now, I have been waiting for my tax return and come to find out he has entered A WRONG HOME ADDRESS so my checks are LOST IN THE MAIL. Worst part is, they just said sorry and that I HAVE CALL the ****

Kreppel Tax Advisory Group *** (Owner)

In response to her review, I will start off by saying that we do offer a discount as many businesses do, for a review. However, we do not require the client to give us a positive review. As you can clearly see from this person. We simply just ask for a review and leave it up to the client to say whatever they feel like. I will argue and dispute that this is not why we have such good reviews. Our content within those reviews describe pretty accurately our business dealings with our customers. Our A+ rating with the ******************** for the last 18 years speaks volumes as well. Our firm is not perfect and we do make mistakes. In this case, the client had requested for direct deposit and my *** made an honest error and set them up for paper check. The client made me aware that they wanted to be set up for direct deposit for refunds but it was already too late when I spoke to the **** There was a miscommunication and my *** made an honest mistake. In addition because these people were new clients from a previous firm, we had an old address on file. Again, another honest mistake. The *** advised to the client to call the *** and that they would be able to help her and possibly put a stop on the check or do something else that might help them. Instead the client accused me of stealing their money and had no qualms about making such a defaming, false remark. This client had no mercy when I admitted that we did in fact make mistakes with the address and direct deposit info. The return itself was prepared 100% perfectly and my *** did a great job considering they were new clients. I tried to talk to ****** and her parents on the phone and to try to give them direction, but instead, they chose to scream and yell at me completely out of control and unprofessionally. I even went so far to honor the previous ***'s pricing which was significantly lower than our regular pricing. In closing, these people are complete psychos to the highest degree. This can be evidenced that ****** has set up 3 fake ****** accounts, which you can review with the same content to try to hurt my business. She is extremely vindictive and unprofessional. She went so far to even file a complaint with the BBB. I will warn my *** contemporaries and colleagues that if you get a call from ***************************** or her parents, run and do not take the call. These people are not playing with a full deck.

I had a terrible experience with Kreppel Tax Advisory Group. I went on a Saturday to get my taxes prepared, but the numbers didn't seem right and the preparer said they would send it for review. After a month of unanswered emails and phone calls we finally got an appointment during the week. my My wife scheduled a day off work, the appointment was abruptly canceled. Another appointment was scheduled for Saturday morning at 7:15am here I sit in an empty parking lot and building at 8:00am . To say this company is incompetent is an understatement. ******************* was out tax preparer and after his passing his wife sold his clients to this clown show of a company. If I ever get my taxes and info back which will be a miracle I will never use them again. To ********************* former customers run dont walk to a different tax group. I am nervous that I will not be able to get my taxes filed in time after well over a month of the run around I have received.

I am writing in response to the complaint filed by ******************************* regarding our appointment scheduling.

The initial appointment was scheduled for April 4, but due to a calendar conflict, we rescheduled it to April 6 at 7:15 PM. On April 5, we received a call from ********************** wife, *****, confirming the appointment at 7:15 AM.

Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding, and my co-worker confirmed the time without clarifying that it should be in the evening.

We acknowledge this oversight and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We met ****************** on April 6 at 7:15 PM and resolved the issue. To express our apologies and goodwill, we offered ****************** a small discount.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and remain committed to providing excellent service to all our clients

I thought that ****** was just an accountant doing my dad's taxes. Turns out he's trying to sell the man annuities. His office already has my POA on file. I explained to him that my father is not capable of comprehending a contract as he is ***************************************************************** by his doctor. I said that I prefer that either myself or my sister are present to act in my father's best interest when signing any contract. ****** then tells me " as long as your father knows his name and his birthday I can sell him anything I want to". Then the time it took me to get the proper paperwork from his ******* ****** stole ******* from my father. Locked it up in a 5-year annuity that won't mature until he's 88 years old at 4% for the first year only. My father was under the impression he was getting 10% interest every year!. Unfortunately, my dad is in poor health and probably will never live to see the money mature. ****** unethically and unapologetically preys on the elderly! Never trust his company with anything!

      To whom it may concern:

I am writing to address the concerns you raised in your recent review about your experience with my firm. It moves me deeply that you would make such aggressive and erroneous accusations against myself and my firm. As the President of the company, I take these matters very seriously. We always strive to act ethically, transparently, and with the best interests of our clients at heart. Our 23 years in business, A+ rating with the BBB, and hundreds of 5 *********** reviews reflects this in our company's reputation. Regarding the issue with selling annuities to your father, your dad has been a client of our firm for over 7 years and the idea that you think we would take advantage of him saddens me deeply. In your complaint you completely falsified words that I said, made erroneous statements, and blatantly lied about how we conduct business. I never said anything like "I can sell him anything I want". I would never say something like this, it's not even in my nature to speak this way. You continued to say that I "stole $100,000 dollars from an old man", this again is an awful statement to make especially since we had done a very nice job for your dad over the years. Your portraying our firm to be some sort of company that fleece's elders and are complete thieves. I'm sorry you feel this way but this is the furthest from your assessment of our firm. In closing, I will leave it up to you to explain to your father why we will no longer be doing his taxes going forward. He enjoyed coming to our office and sometimes even brought his dog. I will leave it to you to explain to him why he will have to pay 5x more now to have his taxes prepared elsewhere. You could of been a gentleman and called me directly or emailed me directly about your concerns but instead you acted childishly and chose to be very unprofessional and make all these false and erroneous accusations. Again, we will no longer be doing business with your father going forward. I wish your father only the best.

      Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because: Elliot Kreppel states that I falsified words! My motivation for creating this review was so that other people could hear the exact words he used when I expressed concerns over my dad. It is true that my dad trusted you and your firm. However you explained it, he accepted it. You knew he wasn't reading anything. He wasn't capable of asking any questions and he signed what you put in front of him.

In Elliots response he says I should have called him. The truth is that I actually did and that's when this all took place. I told him that my dad was diagnosed by his doctor with early stage dementia. I insisted that a family member was present during any monetary transactions or the signing of any contracts.

Again... ********* arrogant response was " As long as he knows his name and his date of birth, I can sell him anything I want"

Completely disregarding my concerns for my aging father who is in my care, lives with me and I have POA over.  Unfortunately, My dad was fooled. He gave ****** the money and then once I fully explained the terms of the contract to my dad, he was very upset. I did so on video. I'll be posting that to as many platforms as possible. ****** tells him the upside, but a creative version of the downside.

************************ suffering from dementia himself since he seems to be forgetting exactly what happened. Had he just been a decent human being he would have cooperated and included either myself or my sister in to the office with my dad for his appointment. I guess that was too much trouble for him and didn't suit his best interest.

Our firm takes these complaints very seriously and we strive very hard to provide peace of mind for our clients regarding their investments with our firm.  My entire team is not quite sure where ***** allegations are originating from.  His dad has been a client of our firm for a number of years and we have done a very good job for him.  Our reputation and reviews speak for itself.  Ive learned youre not going to please everyone when you are dealing with the public.  Again, **** never provided any POA, or legal documentation nor had any legal representation to myself or my team.  He also never had any conversation about his fathers mental condition to anyone on my staff.  His allegations are completely false and has no merit.  He is trying to fleece his fathers money and unfortunately we are caught in the middle of it.  His fathers accounts with our firm are 100% safe and secure, with his principal 100% protected.  The fact that his son is saying otherwise makes it very clear that he is very misinformed.  Thank you.

They did our taxes wrong. Said we owed under $300 turns out we owe almost $3000. When the *** contacted us, we attempted to contact Kreppel and it took over a week to get in touch with our preparer. We were ignored and mistreated. We asked for a refund and was refused. The owner said "accidents happen." He was too busy getting on a plane to speak with us. He related our THOUSANDS of dollars owed to the *** to an interior designer. Our accountant, ****** tried to make it our fault, but he had all our information. The paperwork we were given said to look it over, we did, clearly they did not look over their own paperwork. He offered us a credit for next year. However, we have lost faith in their abilities and feel they are not a law abiding business.

Our firm prepares over **** returns and we do make mistakes from time to time.  We strive for perfection and although we are human, we do make mistakes from time to time.  We acknowledged the mistake that we made to the clients, and took 100% responsibility.  We even went so far to offer complimentary tax preparation for the following year, a $450 value for free.  The clients wanted our firm to pay for the additional tax that was created due to the error.  My CPA tried to explain to the clients that even with the error made, that they were still responsible for the taxes due.  The following is a more detailed explanation from my CPA, *************************, who prepared the return to give you a better insight as to what contributed to the error.

Regarding the situation with Mr. and ***************, I was sent an email from ************** indicating that he received a notice from the *** stating that he had an outstanding balance on his 2021 taxes. After speaking with ************** we discovered that the return that he received from me indicated that this 2021 tax liability will be only ~$300 while the actual amount that was owed is ~$3100. After further review, we were able to determine that the understatement in Mr. and Mrs. ****** tax liability was due to an error generated by the software because the amount stated in the software was the correct $3100. The software error led to the understatement giving Mr. and ************** an incorrect amount due. I acknowledged that the software generated an error and apologized for the mistake that was made. I did not in any form blame the error on the taxpayers. After realizing the issue I also went out of my way to contact the *** for ************** to set up a payment plan for the outstanding amount and to remove any penalties that were assessed because of the failure-to-pay.

In closing, we corrected our error, called the *** on behalf of the clients to waive all penalties, offered a complimentary tax preparation for next year, and apologized for my CPA and for my firm for making the error.  We stand behind our service and obviously the reasons why so many people are drawn to our firm is for the professionalism and service we provide.  Again, we admit we make errors and mistakes, but we strive to make our wrongs, right.  We have the highest BBB rating possible, and a very strong 4.6 star rating with Google.  This in itself, is a testimony to how we conduct our business. I hope this response will suffice the complaint and we can move forward.  Thank you.

      Complaint: 17483185

I am rejecting this response because:  There are so many issues with this awful business' response.  First, they made it seem like the so-called software error was just a missed "0."  However, the exact amount we were originally told to pay was $289.   The actual amount owed was $2918.82. This is a huge discrepancy.  In addition, once we received the notice from the **** we had to continually call and email ****** for 10 days before ***** finally returned our call.  We were basically down to 48 hours to respond to the IRS.  As far as ***** "going out of his way" to help us call the **** this should be part of his job.  Isn't this one of the reasons people have accountants?

When ***** couldn't, or wouldn't just refund our $250 payment, we were contacted the owner, Elliot.  He was dismissive, condescending, and unsympathetic.  He compared his employee's error to his interior decorator.  (Apparently running a poorly run business allows him the money to have an interior decorator.). After refusing the refund our money, he hung up on us stating he was getting on a flight for vacation and didn't have time for us.

We do not trust this company to do our taxes any more.  We do not have confidence that this won't happen again and therefore, are only asking for our refund of $250.  Which according to them would be half of what they feel our business would be worth for next year.

In addition, my sister recently received a similar notice their taxes were incorrect as well.  I'm guessing ****** will blame their software on that as well.  As a ****** employee told me, this is the  "slow season." You would think they would take this time to review all their clients' information for any other "software errors."

Again, all I am asking for is my $250 refund, the amount we paid for them to do our taxes (incorrectly.)

      Regards,

      ***********************

      Business response

      08/08/2022

      Hello Mr. and ***************,

All clients are equally susceptible to be victims of a software error because a miniscule percentage of an error exists. In this scenario, Mr. and *************** were unlucky to fall a victim to this software error which drastically affected the amount that they owed. However this amount was not unexpected to Mr. and *************** considering that one of the first statements that was made to ****** on their initial meeting, was that Mr. and *************** had already completed a draft of their taxes on TurboTax and they were expecting to owe around $3000. Therefore, Mr. and *************** were already well aware of what their tax liability was going to be for the year so the actual amount owed should not have been a surprise.

      Thank you,

      *************************, EA

      Complaint: 17483185

I am rejecting this response because:  This response did not address any of the questions, comments, or complaints in my original email or my response email.  ***** is correct, the reason my husband and I wanted a professional to help with our taxes is because when I used an app it was telling me I would owe about $3000.  When I told this to *****, he chuckled and said he doubts that's the case.  Regardless of this MINOR interaction, I still want my $250 refunded.  According to ******* the owner, our taxes next year are valued at $450, I don't think I am asking for too much.  Maybe ***** and/or ****** can finally respond to the actual question this time.
While this should not have to be stated, I will.  I am not trying to avoid paying the government.  We are now on a payment plan.  All I wanted was an honest, competent accountant.  Obviously we did not get this and I do not have confidence in this company that this or another huge blunder won't happen again.  I am requesting, again, to be refunded my $250.
