    On 11/08/2022 This moving company gave us a moving costs of $4200 from the items and measurements we provided. After we paid the deposit and the truck arrived (11/11/22), they told us it would be $10,000. If we decided to not go forward at that point we would loss the already paid deposits.At that point we had no choice but to go forward since our house was sold and we had to get out. I think you would agree how much the increase upset us.Then the wanted another deposit through a wired money account that did not go through and so we wrote a check of `$3900 that was to be given back when the truck arrived at the new location. When the truck arrived they gave the check back and demanded $7800 in cash or they would not empty the truck. We had no choice but to pay the cash. Then we found out that night that someone fraudulently cashed the check that. I called them immediately. They denied any involvement and so we immediately worked with the bank. Thankfully we worked with the bank and got the money reversed. I am not aware of how the bank investigators worked with the police. When the truck arrived, Only two people showed up to deliver the items. One did not show up. The two were complaining that they would not be able to do the job and so I had to help. Ultimately I brought up around 80 boxes of supplies to the second and third floors. This was not right as I paid for this service and hurt my knees in the process.Even worse, they broke and scratched many items, misplaced parts and glass shelves for a very expensive entertainment system. When I spoke to the manager about the insurance ( through texting), he said he would get that information back to me however when I contacted him multiple times he refused to.This was bad experience all around. I was going to contact a lawyer to help me litigate however I thought I try with the BBB first.Thank you so much for your help,***************************

    My dealings with this company were from Nov 8th to Nov 26th 2022. This company was subcontracted to move my belongings from ******** to ******* **********. Originally they had quoted me at $6,000 for the move. I live in a three bedroom, two bathroom home but only have two rooms furnished. After showing up on Nov 8th about 4 hours late the - the company loaded up my stuff and did not finish until around 10 pm. After loading my things they then calculated the costs which was $12,000. Had I known it was going to be this expensive I would have never moved my things but it was too late. They already had packed everything and told me I had to pay them half of the price in the form of a check or money order (I was not told this prior to their arrival). Luckily they hadn't yet packed away my check book so I wrote them the check. There were three men and I was alone - I felt intimidated into paying for this service at a fee that ended up being nearly triple what I was quoted. Following the pick up of my materials i could not get a hold of the company to get an accurate delivery time. It was supposed to be there in 10 days time. After spending hours trying to contact ************* finally got back to me. **** did nothing to but make excuses and give reasons why he couldn't get me a delivery time. After nearly two weeks I was finally contacted by the driver - I told the company before they gave my estimate that the house is on a narrow road and a semi truck would not be able to park there. One day before the arrival of my things the driver told me it was going to cost an extra $2000 to have my things delivered. They demanded that the payment be in cash or money order. Finally, when they came to deliver they had only two guys (both of who were lazy, made a huge mess and took literally the entire day. Additionally, they lost over $3,000 of my things and damaged many others. No one from the company has contacted me regarding this. They are thieves. Overall cost: $15,000

    Smart Movers Logistics was overpaid for a moving job (*******) and has refused to provide a refund. Smart Movers Logistics was due $9495.82 and collected $12731.04 therefore a refund is due of $3235.22 The Broker, *** **** Moving Group, and I have been contacting Smart Movers Logistics since July 22, 2022 and the have promised several times to refund the money. To this date, the money has not been refunded.

    I moved from ********** ** to *********** ** at the beginning of June 2022. I booked my move through a company which contracted out to Smart Movers Logistics LLC, and they arrived to pick up my items on May 31st. They arrived late without communicating they would be late, and then ended up charging me over 3 times what I was quoted. I received a phone call from the company on June 3rd stating that my items would be delivered in 5-6days, and when that time period passed I began attempting to call to get an update on my delivery. They did not answer any calls, and ended up showing up with no warning on June 20th. When they delivered my items, I noticed a missing box, which is what my complaint is centered around. This box contained more than $500 worth of books and textbooks, and I have been attempting to get in touch with the company since June 20th (its now August 13th) with no success. I have left over 30 voicemails, sent emails, even found the one mover on social media to try to get answers that way. No one has responded to any of my inquiries besides that one man telling me that my box was not missing and that he'd let me know how I could retrieve my items. I haven't heard from him or anyone else since. All I want is someone to get in contact with me to let me know if they have my items, and if they do, how do I get them, and if they don't, how to get them replaced/reimbursed.

    I moved from *************************** ** to ************** **. For moving my items I contacted this company called Comprehensive relocation services (****** *******) and they appointed Smart Movers LLC for my items delivery. These movers came 24 hrs/1 day after their pick up window. Where nobody was picking up call and responding about the status (causing complete distress). Smart Movers charged me more then the estimated cost. The pick up date was 7/13/2022 and 1st delivery date was 7/17/2022. after 17th July when my items did not show up I tried to call the company and no body answered my call. so now, neither broker nor movers are picking up my call, I tried to call El Gato the trucking company which came to pick the items and they gave me number of Smart Mover owner and he picked the call and told your items are in warehouse (which they never mentioned earlier) and will be delivered in 2 weeks. I called them after two weeks they told by the start of next week. On Tuesday 8/9/2022, I called him and he told next Monday your items will be loaded and then deliver. On Monday, he asked me to share the order number with him and this made me super uncomfortable as he should have it himself. Since Tuesday, he is not picking up my call. Infact, I feel he blocked my number as it immediately goes to voice mail and his voice mail is full. I definitely need my items delivered so that my kids can start their school and sleep on bed (sleeping on floor for past one month). I can further discuss the matter in detail over the call. I am looking forward to get assistance. Thank you

    On June 30th this company has picked up my things and has been paid half deposit per there requirement and the rest upon the delivery. The number no one answers and I have yet to recieve my Items. As doing research now this is what this company does and I would like my things delivered per the contract.

    My mother, *******, and I were relocating from Malta, ******** to *****************. She talked with ************************ Services, who then hired this Smart Movers company. They picked up our belongings in a Ryder truck, which were 78 boxes, two beds, a wine shelf, 2 book shelves, and other small items from our home. They came a day early on 6/17/22, and we were told it would be delivered to Bedford on 6/20. We were given an extension, which was 5-7 business days. They did not deliver on the 7th business day, 6/27, and we were told delivery would be after the holiday weekend. We have not heard anything from this company, and we cannot get ahold of them at all. They told us we need to pay them an extra $1,000 to store our belongings over the holiday weekend. ************************ Services told us this is not their first time having troubles with this exact moving company.     On Monday June 20th this company came and picked up all of our belongings to move us to ************************ *********. We were told that evening our stuff would be there immediately and was stated June 24th would be by 5 pm. Our stuff didn't show up and we called them, we were told oh the next day by late afternoon it would be here. This has been going on since that day. Now they are refusing to answer our calls and texts, but the texts show read. On Friday July 1st I spoke to ******** who stated our stuff would be here By the morning of July 3rd, well it's July 5th and we still don't have any of our stuff. I have called her and she declines my call and sends it to voice-mail. I have text **** the manager who reads my texts, but doesn't answer. I have explained to them that my children's stuff is on there including breast pump to feed my children. They don't care, they make excuses and refuse to give us our stuff.
