1 starWorst experience of a lifetime , they were contracted by a broker in ******* American Moving and Storage LLC and multiple antique items were severely damaged and a couple pieces beyond any repair, now the refuse my phone calls , emails etc , I filed a claim and have not heard back at all , I was told by the broker it takes 3-5 months to recover.. what a couple deadbeat companies to say the least , I feel like I could have rented a U-Haul and three or four high schoolers and done way better !!! For your own peace of mind Do not ever hire either of these companiesReview fromCheyenne R

1 starWorst experience moving ever. Horrible company. I should have done better research before hiring them. At first, the move was going to cost me roughly $3k, then when they showup they they markup a bunch of stuff like the dresser being taller than the ************** I provided and the "Shuttle Fee", which they charged me $500 to rent a Uhaul truck to get closer to my apartment building. All in all, the price doubled to almost $6k...Then once they took my stuff, I couldn't get a hold of anyone after calling back the customer service number for a month. I tried to relay to them that I had moved into my new place and that I am ready for my things to be delivered to my new address and there was no response to emails or phone calls. I slept on the floor for a month... Then the texted me suddenly "We can show-up tomorrow, please confirm" This contracted company with a different company logo on the side of the truck and 'Move Happy' shirts on the movers showed up high after smoked weed in their truck when they claimed they couldn't move the second half of my stuff in until they confirmed that paymnent has been received by customer support. They also put my bed frame together wrong, was missing a middle support beam so my bed sunk in the middle and almost broke the slats, didn't help setup my TV stand and left my TV for me to assemble together. Come to find out when I had to disassemble my bed and reassemble, I went over to my 55" TV that was wrapped in a moving blanket and it was totally shattered and destroyed... I then reached out to claims department and they said "We will offer you $42 for your 55" TV we broke, per our D.OT. valuation option of 60 cents per pound per article"... I paid $640 for that TV and that is the price right now if you were to buy it new on Amazon. After weeks of negotiating back and forth, the highest they were able to refund me was $250. So in turn, I don't have a TV now, and I lost about $400. I would not recommend to anyone at all.Review fromDan L

1 starAbsolutely terrible. Their labor was polite but had no idea of what they were doing. They put moving blankets on top of furniture and left the bottom unprotected to the floor of the truck. We have had other poor experiences with movers but nothing like Prime of ***********. After all the damage now they will not return my calls. Even though they said they would repair the scratches the best they could. I would not recommend them to move me across the street much less across the state. If all this isn't bad enough they borrowed moving blankets from me and had to borrow tools from me to take our furniture apart. I would not recommend anyone hiring this company. They get no stars.Review fromBr W

1 starNever use this company!!! The most unprofessional service I have EVER used! Our boxes arrived in tatters, clothing hanging out, crushed goods & severely scratched & scuffed antique furniture that was wrapped in brown paper!!!!! no blankets or protective material. Massive BEWARE!!!!! They will not pay for the value of your broken goods but rather on a p/pound weight basis of the broken/damaged item. And that is 60 cents p/pound (what a joke!) so if you have any broken expensive items that do not weigh 100s of pounds, they simply will not pay. They do not take responsibility for how your broken boxes arrive. They blame it on the person who packed the boxes, aka you.Review fromJay B

1 starMoved us from ****** to ********. Waited until last day of the window to tell me they are coming. Their company guy name ** acts as if he is your guy for move and will help. Not really, movers come, bring 3 extra dudes who claimed they were off and decided to help. Not properly trained one bit. They unscrew all TVs and put them in 1 little circular container. Then provide no instructions for unloading crew. They also left their mess at our house which I had to clean up. I told movers specifically we will be buying a house and give them the address. They called 3 weeks later wanting to deliver when house has not closed. I told them this in text messages and email. They deliver in August, a man who might have mental issues and very slow delivering along with 2 teenage boys. 1 of the boys cant even lift a rock. He was lazy and did absolute bare minimum. I had to lift my own items and even s**** some of my on TVs back because they are not capable. Even worse, they broke at least 40 items including british tea set and some japanese items my wife had from family. I submitted the claim and they low balled me for 55 dollars at first. Then after I complained they tried 150 dollars. Their Claims **** **** name *** went into defensive and defended company without any backing of proof. I took pictures of what movers tried to pull. When delivering, the main mover had our items in stowaway section of his truck, why? Because he broke our containers and tried to hide them. As they tried to leave, we pointed out that christmas items are missing. He had them in the stowaway? Are you kidding? Then after I got them and they left. They left styrofoam, tape and wifes items in the gutter area. This company I do not recommend and they are con artist, they tried to say its military equivalent for moving. It is not, I served in military for 14 years and also work federal. I never had a moving service as bad as this. Stay away from them.Review fromDonna E

1 starAs others have said, if I could give negative stars, I would. We moved from ** to ** in June, 2021. I have waited this long to file a complaint to see how long it would take to get things resolved, if we even could. We couldn't. We used brokers (never again!!) with the business name of Mega *** Lines in ************, ** who assigned us Prime Moving & Storage. Mega ***s, btw, seems to be out of business now. No surprise. At the end of the loading-up day, the owner of Prime (who was there with 2 other workers) told us there was much more volume than they expected & charged us over $3,400 additional. What were we supposed to do? Everything was on their truck already, so I'm sure they would've held our property hostage had we not paid it. I wasn't sure if they were taking advantage of Sr. ******** (my *********** are in our 70s) but from other reviews I've read, apparently they don't age discriminate. We were given a **** of Lading and frankly, we were so tired by the end of the day we didnt look at it until later. It was completely illegible. It was the bottom page of a carbon copy & nothing at all could be read. Our items were to be delivered in **** *********** be given ***** hrs notice. When we heard nothing, I called and the owner; told me one of his workers said that Id told him we needed things in storage for X amount of time. I never spoke to either of his workers. He then said hed have everything delivered in 2 days. He did, however the items were now on a Penske truck (different truck). My husband asked these people for a biz card, **** of Lading, something that identified them. They had nothing. 2 items were completely missing; 1 antique which had been in my family for over 100 years was completely & utterly destroyed; 1 other 100-yr family antique was damaged. Other items were damaged as well. We filed a claim, as per Prime Moving, but with no legible BoL, we were offered only $153 which still has not been paid by Prime. Value was over $1,000. HORRIBLE!
